Cozy mountain cabin on a horse ranch with GORGEOUS views and easy river access!


The Cowboy Cabin is one of two non-connected duplex cabins. The Cowboy Cabin is dog-friendly, with two dogs the maximum number allowed. We kindly ask that all dogs be kept on a leash while on the premises, for the safety of both our farm animals and your pets.

The cabin features one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom with a shower & jacuzzi tub, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable dining and living space, flat screen cable TV and Wi-Fi. Linens and kitchenware are provided. They both have a covered, wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and stunning views of the property, as well as an outdoor common area with fire pit and gas grill. Propane and firewood also provided.

River's Bend Ranch is a family-owned guest ranch and venue, that sits on over 250 beautiful acres nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the George Washington National Forest. With a half mile of shoreline on the Shenandoah River and 360-degree mountain views, RBR offers a perfect setting for family vacations, reunions, weddings, retreats, or just a quiet weekend getaway. We are conveniently located near the Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, the quaint town of Luray, hiking spots, kayaking and canoe rentals, and much more.

On the ranch, guests can enjoy fishing, birding, and walking trails. Trail rides along our piece of the Shenandoah's South Fork are available to guests and the general public and can accommodate any riding ability. RBR offers access to activities for all tastes and ages.

Little ones (and big ones too!) will love visiting our farm animals, including Longhorn steers, sheep, chickens, cows, horses, barn cats, and our friendly dog who is always eager for attention!

For your safety, please check in with one of our staff members before walking down to the river.

We had a wonderful time at this absolutely beautiful property. Peaceful, unbelievable views , very friendly and accommodating people and overall just an absolutely wonderful experience. The walk down to the river is so fun, and the mountain sunsets and sunrises breathtaking.It's just a short scenic drive to town - the perfect hideaway in the beautiful mountains!Don't forget to buy some cuts of steak raised right on their farm to cook on the grills they provide! Or roast some s'mores over the fire pit. Highly recommend and will most definitely be back!

Clean, peaceful, amazing views, and super friendly staff!!

Rivers Bend Ranch was absolutely spectacular! Not only was the cabin we stayed in cute, cozy, and well kept.. the staff was also SUPER friendly and so so helpful for anything we needed! Not to mention the property and the views weā€™re absolutely breathtaking! We canā€™t WAIT to come back!

Peaceful Retreat

The property is absolutely beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the horses, cattle, and deer in the multiple pastures. The view of the mountains was such a joy and the entire ranch is well maintained and peaceful. We had access to the river and enjoyed quiet walks. Amazingly quiet and beautiful!

Waking up to a beautiful sunrise, having a long quiet time on the porch overlooking the rolling green hills...so refreshing! I loved watching the animals roam the fields, and seeing the horses gallop around was wonderful. The cabin was great, the bed had a good mattress, the furnishings were comfortable. I am going to recommend Rivers Bend Ranch to my friends!

We were looking for a quiet place to relax for our anniversary weekend and found it at River's Bend Ranch. Watching sunrises and sunsets. Horseback riding right there. Sitting on the porch watching the horses in the pasture and even the longhorn steer.

Everything was nicely done and all worked well. Suggestions: To guest, bring eyeshades since the blinds are paper thin so the sun wakes you too early for vacation and you can see through them at night. To owner: There arenā€™t enough trash cans (only 2), no aluminum foil or plastic wrap in the kitchen, no salt and pepper, and no basic supplies in the kitchen.

O MY GOD, Riverā€™s Bend Ranch is a beautiful ranch with Shenandoah Mountains, with large section of the Shenandoah River that we walked to the river no problem all to the East for Sunrises as well & Massanutten Mountain Range to the West for the Sunsets. Also Horse Back Riding Trail Rentals there at 11:00AM and 1:00PM. Close to the town Stanley. Also just a little further from the other towns like Shenandoah, Luray, New Market and Elkton a touch farther. Letā€™s not forget Shenandoah National Park & 15+Wienries (1 to 1 Ā½ā€ Hours away) with so much beautiful scenery. Thank you Riverā€™s Bend Ranch for such a pleasant stay, Mike B.

Peaceful and Serene

My husband and I were tired after driving through DC rush hour, so we looked forward to settling into the cabin for the night. So when we drove to the parking area by our cabin, we were pleasantly surprised by four large longhorns greeting us on the other side of the wire fence. I dismissed my exhaustion as I took in the breathtaking landscape, which consisted of an expansive, rolling pasture that was a much-needed sight for city-dwellers like us. On our first evening, Caroline, the wonderful lady who was very helpful with our stay, suggested walking to the nearby barn, where a new baby lamb had just been born earlier that day. We were delighted to see the other ranch animals, including a sweet cat and two dogs. The following morning, we got up early enough to drink our hot coffee on the porch while watching the sun rise over the distant Shenandoah Mountains. Later that day, I made reservations for my husband and me to follow our guide, Ben, on an hour-long trail ride to the river, which was incredible. Ben's laid-back persona made the ride enjoyable, especially since my husband and I haven't ridden horses in years. The reason for our weekend getaway was to explore the nearby Luray Caverns, which we did later that afternoon. We didn't expect our relaxing accommodations at River Bend to be the reason for wanting to come back in the future.

Amazing Stay

My wife and I had an a relaxing stay at the Ranch. The view and stars at night rested our bones after a long ride Swift check in and Cory and Caroline were welcoming and accommodating The ranch horses and animals made our day and the walk to the river was beautiful Look forward to returning soon to see how Noel the new addition to the farm is growing up Thanks again Joe and Alexis

Peaceful, beautiful, very clean

This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was nice and answered all questions. The property is well kept and has everything you need for a great stat. Horseback riding great price and an awesome guide.The area around here has plenty of things to keep you busy too and great dining in all directions . I highly recommend it and we will be going again.

Beautiful

This cabin is located on the most beautiful property. River Bend Ranch houses animals, kind staff members, incredible views and multiple rental options. Staff members go above and beyond for guests. My husband and I didnā€™t want to leave. You are about 15-30 min from most restaurants, etc. depending on which direction you go. With that being said, you wonā€™t want to leave the property. Definitely go on a trail ride while there. I highly recommend this cabin.
