Located in a serene bedroom community of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Groove Stone Getaway is only a 10 minute drive to Downtown Asheville, Mission Hospital, Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Whole Foods and numerous other grocery stores -- and all that eclectic Asheville, and outdoorsy Western North Carolina, offer.

Fully furnished with all utilities included, Groove Stone is a perfect place for remote workers or traveling medical professionals.

You must be at least 25 years of age to book with us. An exception may be provided if, as your host, we honor a request to rent to someone under the age of 25.

Space for the relaxing comfort of 4 Guests.

We CAN accommodate 1 dog under 50 lbs. on a per request basis.

Groove Stone enjoys beautiful mountain views and fantastic sunsets from the comfort of the large 3-Season room located in a private backyard. With a fireplace in the main living room, you will feel cozy on cool mountain nights. Your living room offers a 40" HD Smart TV with free Netflix, on demand HBO GO, and YouTube access. There is also a DVD player and plenty of DVD's for downtime.

Free high-speed Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the house.

Your kitchen and dining areas are open and bright, including a roomy 6-person dining set. There is plenty of cabinet space, a glass top stove, full size fridge, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher to help make your stay convenient.

A washer and dryer are located in the hallway leading to the central bath.

The bathroom has a full tub shower and new vanity, towels are provided along with starter (3 to 5 days worth) shampoo / conditioner and toilet paper for our Guests.

From the bathroom, you can enter the main bedroom to find a relaxing retreat. A bright and airy room with a Queen size bed, a writing desk and full size closet. This room shares a window to the 3-season room that overlooks the private backyard with mountain views.

The second bedroom, located across the hall, also has a Queen size bed and dresser.

The Bonus Room offers a full size futon couch/bed for an extra sleeping spot and a large bookshelf full of books. The open room is perfect for a remote workspace or a relaxing read on the couch.

The 3-Season Room is the gem of Groove Stone Getaway.

Surrounded by 6 sliding glass doors, and an open ceiling with a ceiling fan, Groove Stone's 3-season Room offers a true retreat.

Enjoy breakfast in the mornings while the sun creeps up over the mountains and dinner in the evening as the sun drops, leaving beautiful sunsets in its wake.

Groove Stone offers parking for two vehicles in a private drive.

Great location!

The house had everything we needed and the location was perfect for getting to lots of activities in the Asheville area. The fenced back yard was perfect for bringing a dog and we also enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. Thanks!

Lovely Property

Nice quiet neighborhood, an easy 10-15 minute drive to anything in Asheville. Very nicely appointed home, great to have linens and necessary items included. The host was great to communicate with, obviously cares about your comfort. We really enjoyed our stay. The 3/4 room is a nice place for meals and to just relax after a day of enjoying Asheville's sites.

Home away from home

It was easy to access instructions were accurate and simple to understand! Easy to get to local attractions and felt safe and cozy! We saw a bear right outside our window which was thrilling and we realized why the trash cans were bungee corded! Wished we would have stayed longer!

Great Time

Accommodations were more than adequate. Furnishings were comfortable and plentiful. Sunroom was divine. My only suggestions would be more exterior lighting in the front, as the area is very dark, and the ceiling fans need to be cleaned. Would rent again if in the area.

Home away from home

We stayed a month in the groove stone getaway and it was a great spot! Great communication with hosts who were so responsive and helpful. We really loved the back porch and spent tons of time there. My eleven year old son slept on the futon and was very comfortable so the house essentially functioned as a three bedroom. The kitchen worked well for our cooking needs and we enjoyed lots of movie nights in the living room. The location was phenomenal, easy access to any store you might need within minutes, and lots of restaurants. We made daily use of the soccer fields and the creek area at the nature center across the road. Very walkable neighborhood as well. Easy drive to west Asheville and downtown areas.

Perfect Place for a Relaxing Getaway

Our stay for 5 nights here was wonderful. Very comfortable and relaxing home, very well equipped with everything you need. The location is perfect as a base for exploring all Asheville and the surrounding area have to offer. We do appreciate that it is pet friendly, and even has a fenced in back yard. (Look out for poison ivy though) I do have one tip for you, if you are staying during a period of hot summer nights it helps to close the door to the back bedroom/study that leads to the sunroom at night so that the one window unit in the living area can better cool the bedrooms for sleeping. Other than that this is just a perfect place for a quiet get away. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great location

The house is centrally located for everything we wanted to do, close to the Biltmore. Loved, loved, loved the back porch!!! We spent many hours out there talking, doing crafts, eating dinner, relaxing. Our only suggestion for the house is a real bed in the 3rd bedroom instead of a futon. We new this going in, but soon realized a futon isn't good for adults lol. But it certainly did not ruin anything . Would rent this house again if in the area. Thank you, Kim P.

Nice Location, But Cold

The location is excellent and the master bed was quite comfortable; however, it was cold. There is a note indicating the baseboard heaters do not work, leaving the only working heater in the living room.--it is sort of like a giant space heater. The owners noted that it is sufficient to heat the house and Google confirmed it is technically adequate for the square footage. But when you add walls, there is no way to move that heat into the other rooms. The furniture in the living room is uncomfortably hard. You won't be spending much time on the sofas. The driveway is also quite steep and there is no street parking, which might make it challenging to pull a car in if Asheville gets one of their rare snow falls. The lack of street parking is noted in the listing, but not the steep driveway or suggestions should snow and ice build up. On the plus side, the location can't be beat. It is close to everything and the neighborhood is quiet and walkable. The fenced back yard is a huge plus, as is the three-season porch if the weather is nice. It is dated, but well stocked for cooking at home. The internet was fine once we hooked up our router--but it isn't fair to judge the internet based on our experience as we work from home while traveling and have high internet needs. I'd suggest a spring or fall stay if you're interested. To put the cold issue in perspective, we live in the upper midwest and were thankful we had an unplanned optional 3-day conference come up in Orlando during our second week at the rental. We chose to attend and re-plan our entire trip. Since we paid for a month, we sacrificed at least two weeks of rental money because we just didn't want to deal with the cold house any longer.

Asheville Trip

Less than 10 minutes to downtown & Biltmore. Great little place. Thought the sunroom was climate controlled and didn't understand it was more of a patio but that was on me, not the listing. Overall a great value for the family.

Beware of bears

Location of this house was perfect to enjoy many activities! One of the highlights was a visit from a large bear in early evening. He proceeded to knock over the trash looking for a meal. Ignored us completely though we were 20 feet away. The only downside to the house was lack of central air. Husband slept on the couch in the living room where the only window unit was located.

Our Asheville getaway!

We had a great time staying at this property during our yearly mountain getaway. The house is very clean, has everything you need to be comfortable, and is conveniently located. We went to downtown, Cataloochee mountain, Zip and Slip tubing place, took drives on Blue Ridge Pkw, and even ventured out to Gaitlinburg TN for a day!The check-in process was easy, the jnsteuctions were clear, and the house was well prepared for our arrival. We really enjoyed our mountain getaway!

Anniversary Getaway

We used home as a base to visit Asheville. It was a pleasant setting but basically we just slept there and were gone most of the day. Owner allowed us to bring two 20 pound dogs. Neighborhood was good for walking them.

Groove Stone getaway

The house was clean and had everything that we needed. The three season’s room was so relaxing and I loved reading my book out there while enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sunset. It was close to a fun brewery/distillery within walking distance and two grocery stores. It was about 10 minutes from downtown. I would definitely stay there again and I don’t have one negative thing to say about our stay.
