We always make sure guests have everything they need before check-in, and apologize if there was a miscommunication. The listing includes accurate photos and a full description of the space, including the square footage, kitchen area, and layout. Comfort can be subjective, but we do our best to provide quality bedding and essentials. We're sorry to hear it didn’t meet your preferences. The smoke detector does have a small safety light, as required by regulation, but we understand how that could be bothersome for light-sensitive sleepers. As for the cleaning fee, it reflects the cost of a professional turnover to ensure everything is spotless for each guest. One small note—when you arrived, we made a point to compliment on your wife's Bday.It would’ve meant a lot to hear a simple acknowledgment in return, especially since we always try to create a kind and respectful environment for our guests.
