Talquin Tranquility is a peaceful waterfront home on Lake Talquin only 30 minutes from Tallahassee and FSU. Fish, boat ride and relax with your family and friends. Excellent boating and skiing on the 8,850 acre lake bordered partly by Talquin State Forest. Fish for bass, bream, shellcracker, Catfish, and Crappie from your boat or our dock while the enjoying viewing of the abundant area wild life.

As soon as you drive up to the well-maintained yards with an abundance of fruit trees, flowering trees and plants, you will immediately get the impression of what awaits you here. This immaculately clean home welcomes you with cozy ambiance and a touch of Southern Hospitality Whether you want to fish, have a relaxing getaway, or attend a FSU event, you will enjoy this home and its lovely and tranquil surroundings.

Launch your boat across the street at the free public boat ramp at Whippoorwill's Sportsman's Lodge. Shop, buy gas, bait, and fishing licenses across the street at Ingram's Marina, which is also RV Park and a sponsor of famous north Florida bass tournaments.

We welcome you to enjoy our family lake-house property, with caretakers just minutes away to provide you any assistance if needed.

At Talquin Tranquility, you will be well-connected (just like home) with Free Unlimited WiFi, Internet Service and free local calls, plus satellite TV with DVR and extended channels.

Rental rates are subject to season and number of guests. Rates do not include the applicable sales taxes.

The key code for the lock box was the wrong code. did not get right code until next day. I found the area manager who let me in and gave me a spare key to use. I lost 2 hours of fishing time trying to get into house. The fish station water did not work to clean fish. other then that the stay was just ok. Thanks and have a great day!Mark Lynn

Relaxing Getaway

It was a great spot for getting out of Tallahasee during our daughter's graduation weekend at FSU. Plenty of room for the family and more reasonable than renting multiple rooms at the overpriced hotels in town. The house was clean and had everything that we needed including coffee pods and toiletries. There were lots of animals in the inlet in the back yard including turtles, fish, frogs and a small gator. Screened porch was much needed as it got very buggy at night. Good spot to get away yet still close enough to Tallahasee for events.

Peaceful & Relaxing

I can’t remember what # visit it is for us, but as always it doesn’t disappoint! Clean, comfortable and very well stocked! Anything you could think of is there to make your stay the best. Fishing was ok but the relaxation and down time is what we needed. Staying at Talquin Tranquility feels like home… see you again next year!

Great Get Away!

This was our 4th trip to Lake Talquin and our 3rd stay at Talquin Tranquility. We will never stay anywhere else, all the comforts and amenities of home, easy access for boat entrance and great fishing! This trip the weather played with us a few days but just to relax was wonderful. If you haven't stayed at Talquin Tranquility it's a must visit.

Wonderful weekend at the lake

Our multigenerational family stayed for a weekend and fully plan to return in the future. The screened porch has relaxing views and plenty of seating/tables to spend the whole day visiting, playing games, and watching those who were fishing off the dock. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking, storage and serving. The house was clean, plenty of everything needed, the living area was cozy. Highly recommend for a relaxing, comfortable stay!

Perfet Stay and Great for Fishing

We had another great visit here and looking forward to next years visit. Love that you have boat access on the property with the 2 slip dock and cleaning station. The house is perfect with all you need to enjoy your visit. The bonus is the screen enclosed patio in the back. Great place for morning coffee and evening meals. We have enjoyed our stays here and our grandkids have a great time fishing off of the dock and catching crappie, bluegill and catfish. Great fishing this last month. Property owner and managers are great to work with as needed and respond quickly if you need anything. Great place to stay and enjoy your time on the lake. We would highly recommend Talquin Tranquility if you are looking to relax and unwind or fish and have fun on the lake.

Upon arriving at the property we fell in love with the place. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. We decided to book an extra night. The property owner was a great communicator and quick to respond and resolve things. We will come back and we recommend the place!

Great property

This is a great property, conveniently located for FSU activities, property itself was very nice, yard manicured, screened porch excellent, security was excellent and property well lite with motion sensors all around. I would stay there again. Checkin was easy, comms with owner excellent and timely. Price was very good. We did note that the master bathroom had ants coming up the vanity drain pipe.

Relaxing Weekend

Nice, clean and quiet rental for the weekend. Loved hanging out on the “screened in”porch. It was fun to watch and hear the wildlife (birds and bullfrogs)! The owner communicated promptly when I asked any questions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would love to stay here again.

Peace & Tranquility!

This was our 2nd year staying…. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped home. Quite surroundings, weather did not cooperate this trip but caught a few fish and much needed relaxation. Definitely will be back!!!

Talquin Tranquility, The Best Home away from Home!

Our son and family recently moved to Tallahassee and were having grandbaby #4 in March so we wanted to be close by to share in the joy and help them as needed. We were so fortunate to have found Talquin Tranquility. This was the best Vrbo we have stayed at. It was very clean, had a very well stocked kitchen with everything you needed and the furnishings and beds were very comfortable. We had our boat with us and were able to put in at Ingrams across the road and be at the AWESOME covered 2 slip boat dock at the house in minutes. The electricity, running water and fish cleaning station was a bonus. The cottage was close to Tallahassee and our son and family could visit and enjoy the awesome screened in porch that overlooks the lake for evening dinners and then just steps from the house be on the boat dock to fish or load up the boat and go for an evening ride on the lake. Our grandchildren loved fishing off the dock and enjoyed catching bluegills, bass and catfish. Bob the owner was great to work with and was available for any questions or concerns we had. Gene and Donna were also great to work with and did a great job with the yard maintenance and upkeep of the property. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing weekend, a beautiful location stay, a fishing getaway or for a place to enjoying time with family and friends. Talquin Tranquility is the place. Looking forward to next years visit.

Process, and property was flawless. These owners really understand what a short term rental should be. House was immaculate and well equipped. You can tell they care about their renters. 5 star all the way in my book.

Great Property

Property was very clean. The yard was immaculate, and he view from the back porch was beautiful. The extras that were provided such as K-cups, creamer, water, and snacks were a nice touch. Bob was easy to work with, answered questions quickly, and kept in touch every step of the way. I would stay again.

In 2018, we purchased this property from the daughter of the original owner who took great pride in her home, yard and flowers. and was an avid fisherman. I am continuing to offer the home as a vacation rental until I too can retire there and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and fishing at Lake Talquin. I am from Pensacola FL, and have been fishing here for the last 10 years, and consider it one of the best fresh water fishing lakes in Florida. I am continuing to employ the very reliable neighbors who have been taking immaculate care of the home, property, and the needs of prior guests for the last 6 years.

In addition to the obvious waterfront advantages of the beauty and serenity, there is boating and great fishing opportunities, with other site-seeing opportunities close by, like the state capital, Florida State University, Wakulla Springs, Florida Caverns, and the Gulf beaches are close enough for day outings on the beautiful white sand of the northern Gulf Coast.

Our property manager lives close-by in case you need any assistance or something breaks. The home is well furnished with a collection of comfortable furniture and accessories to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. My dependable handy man keeps the property in tip top condition, including the yards and flower beds, which is quite a task when you see the size of this lovely lot.

This home is only 40 minutes from Florida's State Capital in Tallahassee and Florida State University. Therefore, this is an ideal location for families to visit the capital, museums, etc., or visit students and attend events at FSU. Beautiful Wakulla Springs and the Florida State Caverns are nearby as well.

- Local Fishing guides available for one half or full day excursions.
- A public boat launch and boat rental is located down the street at Whippoorwill's and Ingram's Marina has a great supply of fishing gear, bait, gas and fishing advice.
- The State Capital and Florida State University (FSU) is only a 30 minute drive.
