A bit of paradise!

Location, location, location...the beach is right across the street and a pool is right outside your door. Does it get any better? The manager was wonderful to work with...very prompt answering emails and calls! The security guards at the gate were welcoming and friendly. The condo is tastefully decorated and well stocked with kitchen appliances, pots and pans. If the chance arises in the future, I would come back with no hesitations!

Watch the glorious Jaco sunsets from the patio

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo is right by guard gate so safety was never a concern and directly across small road to the beach. On the weekends there's plenty of good 'people watching' as friends and families gather along the beach. Makes for fun atmosphere. We will definitely stay again next time we're in Jaco.

Great place. Big waves (good for surfing)

Every thing was great ! The beach is black sand and some gravel, so it is not as nice as, say, in Manuel Antonio. But when it is not too windy, the sea is OK. But it is a surfing beach. Not the best for just bathing. The property itself is great, clean, secure, and confortable. The cooking equipment (Tefal pans and pots) are a little scratched and they are due to be renewed, but overall, everything is good. If you do not mind strong waves, this is a perfect place.

We loved this place

The location of the condo is perfect. Right on the beach. You fall a sleep listening to the waves crashing in the ocean. The condo has everything you need and it is only a short walk to town. Lots of options for restaurants. Grocery store has everything. Everyone staying there is very welcoming and staff is also wonderful. We hope to come back next year and stay longer.

Nice place. Definitely set up for 2 adults and two kids. Not 2 couples.

The place was right across the street from the beach. Walking to town was easy. Having the pool close was a plus.

Great Property!

Well appointed beachfront unit. Communications were great and the stay was even better. The furniture was comfortable although the outside dining chairs could use some new padding. The kitchen had everything we needed (a rice cooker would be a nice touch though). Overall - great experience and would highly recommend! Thank you!

Wonderfully perfect place to enjoy Jaco!

Bahia Azul exceeded our expectations! We were looking for something easy and modest for the quick trip to the beach. This condo was completely stocked with all amenities and comfort making it difficult to leave. The customer service was top notch including the ATV tour. I would highly recommend this place to stay for I am looking forward to our return to it as well.

Paradise

Just came home from a wonderful stay at Bahia Azul In Costa Rica. The condo was a excellent choice for us. The weather always warm and sunny. Beaches beautiful. The town of Jaco was within walking distance as was the local market on Friday. The food was so fresh and delicious. Our Condo had everything we needed and the pool area and grounds were beautiful. Miss it already. We had so many adventures with our local driver Valad. He was amazing and we would recommend him to anyone. Monkey tours, waterfalls, zip lining, hot springs, fishing villages, crocodile man tours, anything you need he will take care of you. The sunsets just outside our door were breath taking and the beach was great for walking. We made many great friends. Can't wait to return

Lovely Unit

I had concerns because the VRBO reviews were too uniformly positive to be believed, but we really very pleased. (I will put this review, minus this statement, on TripAdvisor--which has reviews of all sorts--to show its sincerity.) We rented directly from the owner well in advance, which proved to be much cheaper. We came from the U.S. to stay for the month of January 2014, and were very pleased. The unit is just as described/shown, except the picture of the beach is very old and was taken when an older fence was up and before a road was built between the units and the beach. (I am adding a new picture on TripAdvisor.) Cars may park on the beach beside the road and play their radios full blast during the day, but that did not prevent us from taking a siesta most days and we could hear only the surf after about 6 PM weekdays and 9 PM holidays. (Noise after 10 PM is forbidden by law in Costa Rica.) The grounds are beautifully kept. Mowing and leaf blowing seems confined to mornings after 9 AM. Our unit was charming, decorated in an African art, and well outfitted. Yes, the kitchenware shows hard use by previous tenants: the teflon on some pans was torn up and I had to buy a measuring cup, but all the important elements were there-tableware for four. (The onsite manager, Brian brought a heavy-duty extension cord to circumvent the nonfunctional electrical outlet, so we could use the microwave, and he showed us how to work the drier, and replaced the missing beach towel. He repaired the table lamp when it shorted out, called the police when someone decided to play loud music in the middle of the night) , and found us the best hospital in San Jose when I fell and broke my hip. I recommend bringing tall rain boots for park treks in damp weather--these are $14, at El Lagar-- a sharp paring knife, measuring spoons, and an omelet pan. Prices are reasonable for a tourist location, except at El Lagar, which does have all the things tourists might want. We saw lots of birds including four scarlet macaws. There are ten buildings in Bahia Azul, each with three units. There are no common walls, so all we heard of the neighbors is an occasional chair scraping above us. The units each have two bedrooms, making it a pleasant stay for four people-- we had a couple as guests for one week of our stay. We went through 5.2 earthquake on Jan.17 (centered in Jaco) with absolutely no ill effects--nothing was disturbed or came off the walls.

Bahia Azul Holiday

We had a wonderful stay at Bahia Azul!  This condo was beautiful and right on the beach.....the most amazing ocean views and sunsets right from our patio. Downtown Jaco was just a short walk and the farmers market was great.  Beautiful pool and friendly staff made for a very enjoyable holiday. We cant wait to go back!
