Loved every minute of our stay at Norse Hus! Beautiful cabin, spotless and had every amenity we could think of. Started each morning on the back porch eating breakfast surrounded by beautiful fall leaves in the surrounding forest. Especially loved our nightly cozy fires after a day of canoeing and hiking. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent time and appreciated the location being near a lot of outdoor recreation, including lakes, hikes, and restaurants. Our hosts were very communicative, and the VRBO was extremely clean with high-quality appliances and amenities. I HIGHLY recommend this VRBO

You could not find a better place to stay on the Gunflint Trail. This is an absolutely beautiful and cozy home with all the amenities you could ask for. Communication with the hosts was fantastic and they went above and beyond in all ways possible. Highly recommend this home for your next stay on the north shore. I’m already planning to rebook for next fall!

Private, Quiet & Convenient Woodland Setting

Chad & Megan are delightful hosts with a place that will astound you. Wonderful location too. 'Hope to return here again some time soon. Enthusiastic recommendation!

This gem is tucked back in the woods. The surroundings are beautiful. The cabin itself was spotless & well maintained. Convenient to trails & lakes as well as to Grand Marais. Megan was an excellent communicator.

Great for relaxation and nature

Cabin is beautiful and very well decorated. Internet worked great. I would def stay again. Pictures are accurate. Bed, couch, and chairs are comfortable.

Norse Hus is a cute little hideaway in the woods on the Gunflint Trail! Megan was quick to get back to us with questions and booking. We enjoyed how cozy and clean this cabin was with it's beautiful woodwork. Several mornings we enjoyed watching beautiful sunrises through the windows from bed in the loft, one of my favorite parts of staying here! We enjoyed being near Caribou Rock Trail for an amazing hike, Hungry Jack Lodge for a quick dinner out, and enjoyed getting our coffee/tea fix at The Loons Nest right down the road! We can't wait to come back for our next stay!

We had a great time at the Norse Hus! The cabin was cozy and warm once we lit a fire upon arrival, and just right for us. The heating system kept us very comfortable throughout our stay. We found a few games and puzzles in the porch chest. The kitchen was well stocked and included coffee filters, creamers, cocoa, and condiments! Thanks! The cabin is in the woods and we enjoyed exploring the "backyard" woods in snowshoes and stargazing at night. We ate out a few times at nearby Poplar Haus, Hungry Jack Lodge, and Gunflint Lodge. The snow was great for XC skiing at Golden Eagle Lodge and Bearskin Lodge. Megan was very responsive to our questions before our arrival. We hope to return in the future! It's a beautiful area!

This little cabin is AMAZING! When sitting on the screened in porch you get to hear loons from all around you. All kinds of super cool bird sounds. Beautiful forest all around the cabin. Comfortably fixed up with the loft bed and seating areas. Full kitchen to use and bathroom. Our pups enjoyed it. We loved the quiet and serenity. Easily access all kinds of trails and water. An amazing stay with all the key comforts of home without the stress. Washer and dryer in cabin just in case. Host is an amazing communicator and the check in is as simple as a lock box. Great trip! Was the peace I needed.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Boundary Waters, this warm and inviting retreat will have you cherishing every moment you spend within its wooden embrace.As I stepped into the cabin, I was immediately enveloped by a cozy atmosphere that felt like a giant, welcoming hug. The rustic decor, complete with charming touches and a fireplace, was a perfect reflection of the surrounding nature. It’s the kind of place where you can curl up with a good book or simply let the peace of the environment wash over you— though I must admit, the only thing more peaceful than the stunning views outside was the delightful silence inside. If you listen closely, you might even hear your own thoughts echoing back at you in appreciation of the solitude!The Boundary Waters themselves are a sight to behold. The pristine lakes and majestic pines create a backdrop so breathtaking it might make even the most seasoned traveler stop in their tracks and ponder their life choices regarding cabin-living. We had a wonderful time. Appreciated the nice bathroom, comfortable bed and all the extra touches like a fully stocked kitchen and even a speaker (i had forgot mine!) The location was great - in the wilderness, but we could even walk to a cute coffee shop. We saw a fox on one of our walks there. And saw a moose right near the entrance to the cabin's road!

No complaints. Clean, modern cabin. Nice large porch but didn’t use it much because it was a bit cool. Wouldn’t recommend for older people with mobility issues because the stairs to bedroom a little steep and narrow. Would stay again
