Tucked away in the heart of Nainital on the Birla Road, our charming lakeview homestay offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by cypress trees. Just a 10-minute uphill walk from the vibrant Mall Road, it feels both secluded and conveniently connected to the town’s energy. This cosy space offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and breathtaking views of the iconic Naini Lake—making it your ideal escape in Nainital.
The space
Located on the ground floor of a two-storey cottage, this well-appointed space is exclusively for guest use. The first floor is used by the homeowner but remains completely separate.
Your private floor includes:
2 comfortable and spacious bedrooms
A cosy living room
An additional small sleeping space perfect for 2 kids or 1 adult
A fully-equipped kitchen (guests can cook or choose meal plans)
A balcony/verandah offering a serene view of the lake
24x7 support from our dedicated house help/caretaker
Guest access
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire ground floor of the home, which includes:
2 bedrooms
A cosy living room with an additional sleeping space for 2 kids or 1 adult
A well-equipped kitchen for self-cooking
A balcony/verandah offering stunning views of Naini Lake
A dedicated house help/caretaker is available 24x7 to assist with daily needs, housekeeping, and meal arrangements.
Please note: The first floor is used by the homeowner and is not accessible to guests. However, your privacy is fully respected throughout your stay.
Other things to note
>Meal Options:
We’d be happy to arrange home-cooked meals with prior notice (at least one day in advance).
• Breakfast – ₹200 per person
• Lunch – ₹400 per person
• Dinner – ₹500 per person
• Children under 5 years – no charge
• Children aged 5–12 – 50% of the food cost
You may also hire our in-house cook (₹250 per meal; groceries on actuals), or choose to cook yourself using our well-equipped kitchen. A nominal charge of ₹200/day applies for self-cooking, which includes kitchen and dish cleaning by our staff.
>Getting Here & Parking
The property is located on Zoo Road, about a 10-minute uphill walk from Mall Road.
For guests arriving by car, there are a few options:
– You may use the designated free parking space we provide, located approximately 2–3 km from the homestay. From there, you’ll need to take a local taxi to reach the property. The fare for these taxis typically ranges between ₹300–₹500 per trip.
– Alternatively, you can park at any of the public or private parking lots available nearby and take a local cab from there to the property.
We’ll be happy to share contact details of reliable local taxi drivers after your booking is confirmed, to make your arrival as smooth as possible.
>Bonfire Experience:
We can arrange a cozy bonfire upon request. The charge is ₹500 for the first two hours, and ₹300 per hour thereafter.
>House Guidelines:
• Smoking is strictly not allowed indoors, as the cottage has significant wooden elements.
• We’re unable to accommodate pets.
• The use of narcotics or involvement in any unlawful activity is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the authorities.
• Any damage to the property, whether minor or major, will need to be settled before checkout.
• Early check-in and late check-out are possible, subject to availability and an additional fee.
