Not Good

We’ve stayed in the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area several times and live it there! We’ve used VRBO before with zero issues. This time we did VRBO but this unit is apparently run by a property management company. Just a completely different experience and not one I would ever do again. Other than my booking email, we received ZERO communication from anyone. I sent multiple messages through the app. We even started looking for backup condos in case when we got there our reservation was no good. Finally when we were 3 hours away I messaged again and got an email saying our condo was ready. We showed up at our building and there was no one in the lobby. Wakes around for a while and finally a guest told us if you were with the management company you had to go to a different building to check in. We went over there and the check in was in fact there. Room was exactly as the picture showed but imagine the absolute minimum they could do. 1 roll of TP, 1 roll of paper towels (3 bedroom condo rented for 6). It just get cheap. We’ve stayed in units that were operated by the owners before and they’ve always tried to be good hosts. This company (and their ridiculous “management” fee (check your total cost)) seem to be all about profit. It sounds like they manage about half of the building we were in. Our room said WiFi included but it was patchy at best. Told maintenance day 1 that our individual unit was out but it was never fixed. In fact on our 2nd day there they came to fix the requests from the previous renter (broken TP holder, missing outlet covers). Water heater went out when we were there. Maintenance guy came and said the unit had too small of a water heater and it was a known issue. He said he had no idea why they do that other than to save money. Beach was wonderful. Location was great. The experience with the condo was a total bummer. We actually like the building but will be specifically seeking out owner rented units from now on. The difference was night and day.

Vacation with my kids & grandkids

Everything was amazing! We had Everything that we needed including dishes, toiletries, bedding, etc. Being this close to the beach was a huge bonus when you have this many people. The rooms were spacious and clean. I will definitely tell others about this place and most likely will be back myself. I was very pleased with everything. Fun was had by all which was the goal!

Great Spring Break!

This was our first time in Orange Beach and our first time renting a VRBO. We loved our location and the unit we stayed in. Had a few issues with the shower, toilet and dishwasher, but they were quickly fixed. Location is perfect. On an area of the beach that was not very crowded at all. We were able to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. The unit is on the 14th floor and the views are amazing. Also, really quiet unless the wind was blowing. Make sure you call Ike's Beach Service for chairs. The living area and kitchen is smaller then what the pictures showed (Great photographer!) but we never felt cramped with 10 people in the unit. The unit as a whole could use a re-fresher as it is pretty tired. The pots/pans and silverware seem like they are from decades ago. But all were clean and functional. The unit does have some boogie boards, sand toys and inflatables. Something I wish I had known before we came down. Also, there is nothing in the way of kitchen staples -- dishwashing soap, flour, salt and pepper etc. For someone traveling by plane, this is a pain. I think there could be some of the kitchen staples that could be bought in bulk supplied. The dryer is not great at drying a ton of towels at one time. Make sure you don't overload it. Also, for the agent -- make sure there are 10 sets of bath towels. We only had 8. Parking was no issue. You can buy extra parking passes for a reasonable amount. All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely book this unit again.

Cute, comfortable condo.

The condo was very comfortable. On windy days, the noises in the condo were unbearable! There also was renovating going on that was loud and with harsh chemical smells. The fitness room was terrible. The equipment was rusty...we had to go to the other facility to work out.

Beautiful view

It was a very equipped condo. The kitchen had most everything that we needed. The view off the balcony and also at the back toward the bay was gorgeous. The only downfall is that we could hear people on the 15th floor walking around. Still a great place to go!

Great Place for the Fourth!

Such a perfect beach condo for the Fourth of July! On Saturday night we got a front row view to great fireworks on the beach. The only issue we had was that the refrigerator wasn't working when we got there, but they ended up bringing up a new refrigerator in less than an hour. Really enjoyed our stay at this condo!
