Welcome to the Antler Inn at Pecan Grove Estates. This guest house is nestled at the rear of the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Pecan Grove Main House. Renovated to maintain its rustic charm, this guesthouse has its own bedroom, bath, living room, dinning room, and kitchen. It is within walking distance to the San Antonio river, historic San Jose Missions, grocery, and pharmacy. This space also comes with one parking space within the gated grounds.

Less than a 1.5 miles from the historic San Jose Missions, the San Antonio river, Biking/Walking trails as well as the vessel drop in point for kayaking down the river. Less than 5 miles to downtown San Antonio. A short drive to Southtown, the Pearl Brewery, and shopping.

This was my second time at Antler Inn. As before it was perfect. I felt very safe with my car inside the gated property. The amenities were just right. Thanks Gail for your hospitality. I will be back again.

Hubs and I had a nice, quiet weekend at this hidden gem of a property. Antler Inn was comfortable and even though the ac struggled (but it was August in Texas and everything suffers). Ceiling fans and two ac fans made things comfortable though. The inn was furnished with antique and lived-in furniture, and again…things were comfortable. The pool was the cool and peaceful oasis I needed, and the reason for our getaway trip. Plenty of shade from mature trees and plantings made for lovely afternoons doing nothing. Lounge and table/chair seating beneath umbrellas was perfect.Kitchen basics are provided, and we brought drinks and snacks, but we mostly ate out and ordered in one night. Gail gave plenty of restaurant suggestions. The small fridge had no freezer but we bought a bag of ice each day. My one issue was the swinging saloon doors on the bathroom, but we gave each other private time and hung out on the porch or under the pergola. While the area is economically disadvantaged, we did not feel unsafe at all. The property has been in the family for nearly a hundred years, and has been well tended and curated. As it is a large property, there are a handful of outdoor cameras that monitor the gated entry, the pool, and building of creditors. There are four total rental units that had a mix of short term and longterm tenants, but I felt as if we almost had the place to ourselves. The estate is private, with lots of trees and native plantings, and I’d definitely stay here again.

San Antonio Getaway

Property was secure and comforting. The property is a gem and makes you feel like you're out in the country. If I get the opportunity to come back I absolutely would. Owner was so welcoming and helpful but also gave me my space. It was a very lovely experience!

Little hidden gem on outskirts of city

Tranquil and lovely estate just on outskirts of riverwalk. The area around estate was a little concerning, but then you see gated estate, a true hidden gem.

Garden of Eden

The Antler Inn is a sanctuary of calm inside a garden of Eden amid the chaos of San Antonio city. Our host carefully curated the inside atmosphere of this little home to maximize its space, making it both highly functional and interesting to be in. We enjoyed our holiday here.

Wonderful stay for a Convention

I stayed at The Antler Inn for 3 nights for a work convention. My accommodations were so very quaint, quiet, and comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood was not what I would call the worst but it wasn’t the best either. HOWEVER, I felt very safe and my vehicle was safe due to the property being surrounded by an electric gate. The host, Gail, was very helpful and very willing to help with whatever I needed. The bed was super comfy and the whole place was sooooo adorable. I will definitely be re-booking for next years convention. Oh, and it was only a 12 minute drive from the convention center downtown. I didn’t even have to get on the freeway to get back and forth.

The property is close to the Alamodome which was important to us since we attended a concert there. It’s not an upscale area overall, but the property is gated and the immediate neighborhood is quiet. The property is well kept. Our little space was rustic and cozy, perfect for a one night stay.

Very quiet. No hight traffic.

The bed had a slump. Very uncomfortable. My daughter and I hurt our backs just sleeping on it. There was an terrible smell in the bedroom. We left at 1am in the morning. Tried calling her the next day but never but she never answered. She was nice and the property was clean.

Charming

This rental was quaint and charming, and I wish I'd had the time to ask questions about its history. The slightly poor surrounding neighborhood only added to the atmosphere of the place which almost seemed to belong to another place and time. Everything was clean and comfy and safe, and I would definitely go again.

What an extremely unique stay and property. We honestly did not know what to expect when we drove into the "estate" - it was so peaceful and charming. We loved just walking around and checking out the different buildings. Our room was very quiet and definitely fulfilled our needs. We didn't get a chance to use the kitchen, but it was nice to have it all as an option. Great coffee and food was a nearby drive as well as the Missions National Park (free access to the park and the ability to rent bikes for the river trail was wonderful). Short 10-15 minute drive to nearly all of the major tourist attractions (check out the Pearl District).

Peaceful location

Antler Inn is a very nicely landscaped place. The cottage I was in was very nicely decorated in a rustic decor and had the basic needs for my stay. I slept well! :-) I hope to stay there again...

Quaint & cozy get away

Where to start…from checking in for my 8day stay to checking out…EVERYTHING was amazing,quaint,cozy & more than I expected! There are 3 other rentals on property,each with a different,loving theme! I can’t wait to come back with my husband…best blessing is I have an amazing new sister to cherish forever 💗 Any property you rent here will be a gift. Great couple's getaway!

The host was super friendly and gave great recommendations on local eateries and activities. The housing was super comfortable with a great layout that allows one to sleep while the other watches TV or listens to music without disturbing each other. Will definitely be back!
