Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the laid-back pace of vineyard life. Whether that means waking up to golden light filtering through grapevines, enjoying a quiet coffee on your private deck, or strolling over to the tasting room for your first pour of the day.

Each tent is thoughtfully placed with prairie views or amidst the vines. On select evenings enjoy wood-fired pizzas, live music, and community gatherings under the stars - then retreat to your tent for a peaceful night’s sleep in nature, without sacrificing comfort.

Tent Features:
Perfect for friends or small families, our Prairie Haus canvas tent features two full beds, each made up with fresh linens and nestled beneath soft lighting. Inside, you’ll enjoy a coffee station, AC, an exposed hanger unit for clothes, a small wardrobe for personal items, and a coat rack for added convenience. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and connection, this setup offers a peaceful place to unwind in the heart of the prairie.

A Perfect Family Adventure

Our family of four stayed at the Prairie Hause in early August. Every party of the experience exceeded our expectations. From the incredible views, delicious food and drinks, super comfy pillows, welcoming hosts, and the nature walks, it was a unique adventure we will remember forever!

Rest in Paradise!

A beautiful property with all the extras! We went for one night, but stayed for two because it was so beautiful! The tent has all the extras: water, coffee sourced locally, and even a surprise breakfast delivered in a basket. The beds were comfortable, the tent cozy, and the property was beautiful. Plus, great wine!

I’m not crazy about camping but this was spectacular

The host were outstanding. We checked in easily. The glamp site was fully stocked with just about everything you need! They delivered a snack the next morning with warm muffins, homemade! The food at the winery was delicious! My husband had the cider and said it was delicious. The wine was also very good.

It was a wonderful experience!

Our stay was delightful! Even though there was a strong prairie wind blowing we did not feel it in our tent- in fact it was like a windy lullaby that soothed us to sleep. The view from our tent was mesmerizing- beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding prairie. The tent was well lighted, and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating! And having a wine tasting just topped off our magical stay. Staying at Painted Prairie wound up being the highlight of our trip.

Unique and Relaxing time away!

We absolutely loved our night at the Prairie Hause. The cabin was so cute - well decorated, full of everything we'd need, in the most beautiful setting! It was a chilly weekend but the blankets and heaters kept us comfortable. Love the lights along the path. Our host, Krista, was so accommodating and super friendly. Loved the flowers in the cabin and the morning breakfast basket was fantastic! We also had wine from the winery (amazing) and stopped for brunch before we left Sunday morning - the burrito and caramel roll were fantastic! We would love to come back and stay 2 nights!

Spectacular Hidden Gem

A friend from out of town came to visit and I planned a little get away for us. The Painted Prairie - Prairie Hause provided the BEST TIME for us to connect, catch up, and enjoy a special experience. All the details are covered from heating/cooling in the tent, clean and cozy linen, blankets and flashlights, firewood, etc. Our host Krista was kind and thoughtful but unobtrusive. The wine and woodfire pizza were perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful treasure to couples, friends, and even mother/daughter adventures!

This was an amazing experience.

We had the most incredible glamping experience! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so thoughtfully curated and unique. We loved the fresh flowers that greeted us inside the tent. The coffee was absolutely delicious, the scenery was breathtaking, and evenings filled with live music and wine made it all unforgettable. We purchased tickets to the corn maze wine tour, which was such a fun! Every detail felt intentional and elevated, making this a truly memorable getaway. We can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and charm.

Beautiful and fun experience

We glamped at Painted Prairie Vineyard and Winery for my 55th birthday. My husband and I stayed two nights. What an amazing experience! The grounds are beautiful! Very peaceful and serene. A great chance to unplug and unwind and uncork! We had a fantastic experience in the tasting room!! So much fun! Great hospitality, everyone was so nice. We spent some time at Shetek State Park and Shetek Resort and Key Largo, about 20 minutes away. I would highly recommend this experience and can't wait to do it again!

My stay was amazing and was able to check in an hour early. The scenary was amazing! Going back for sure. However, one thing I would change is the outdoor shower doesn't have an actual door, just a shower curtain and it was really windy so you didn't get much privacy there as the wind kept blowing the curtain open. Would love for them to actually add a door to the shower rather than a shower curtain.

Excellent first experience!

This was our first experience with glamping and we couldn't have asked for a better host in Krista and Painted Prairie! The "tents" had everything we needed and the property is amazing. So much wildlife, birds, beautiful prairie. Such a And add to that, walking distance, through the vines, to the tasting room--brilliant! It was a wonderfully, calm and peaceful couple of days...thank you Krista and Painted Prairie!

This was our 2nd time staying here! I highly recommend it! I’m not a camper but they had everything we need to have a fantastic stay! One of the best things was the warm muffins in the am! We are already looking to book again next year. It might be an annual weekend stay!

Absolutely GLORIOUS GLAMPING Experience

Printed Prairie is a Beautiful Vineyard and the Glamping Experience they offer is truly Glorious! It’s such a relaxing place with breathtaking views of the pond, prairie, and all things nature. Each morning a basket breakfast is delivered to your tent, they have clean bathrooms to use, an outside shower, and you can easily walk up to the winery for some fantastic food and drinks. They also provide grills at your site if you prefer to bring your own food to cook! This place provides so many amenities just like a hotel but better because it’s GLAMPING! We LOVE Painted Prairie Vineyard and All of the FUN so much that my husband Ed, and our friends Deb and Chris C. have made Glamping a yearly tradition. Our first visit was Sept.2025( the Corn Maze was fun, but I got lost) and we just returned from our June 2026(the wood fire pizzas on Friday were amazing)! The staff and owners are also super nice people! ❤️ I highly recommend booking a stay!

Back in 2014, we set out to find a new place to call home in the countryside—never expecting to stumble upon something so extraordinary. Our realtor tipped us off about a stunning piece of land just about to hit the market…complete with a fully operating winery. Curious, we went to take a look—and from that moment on, everything changed. We were instantly captivated by the rolling prairie, the water, and the peaceful charm of what quickly became our rustic oasis. The vineyard and winery? That was the perfect bonus.

Always eager for a new adventure, we dove in headfirst—and Painted Prairie Vineyard has been our passion ever since. As lifelong residents of Southwest Minnesota, supporting local has always been at the heart of what we do. While we grow grapes on-site, we also source grapes and apples from nearby farms, all within an hour of us, to craft our wines. Our space reflects that same commitment, featuring décor and food from local businesses and vendors.

When you visit, you’ll meet us—Andy and Krista—along with our three spirited daughters, Annika, Elysa, and Britta. And if you’re lucky, you’ll also be greeted by Goldie, our friendly vineyard dog. We can’t wait to welcome you, share our little slice of prairie life, and raise a glass with you.
