Sunset Beach Cottage is in a perfect location at the lake with a private beach and boat dock, built in 2016 (shared with Sunset Beach House-on VRBO). Comfortable and Cozy. Large walk in shower, soft bedding and all the amenities you need in the spacious cottage kitchen. The modern gas fireplace in living room and breakfast bar, add to the cozy lake house atmosphere. Spend time on the deck enjoying beautiful sunsets or lounging on the patio listening to the birds and fountain. This is the quiet and serene side of the lake with great fishing and lots of privacy but close to restaurants, casinos, and wineries. Monthly rentals available for visiting nurses/corporate clients. We do accept well behaved dogs, front yard is fenced. Great fishing from the dock! You may launch at nearby Keeling park. Free wifi.

Outstanding

We wanted to spend our Fourth of July at Clearlake. Found this place and booked it. We had a private beach and dock which we utilized. Paddle boarding, fishing (caught seven blue gill), just relaxing. We didn’t leave the property for anything just enjoyed out long weekend here. Property was very clean. Has everything you would need. Weather was amazing and the water was great. No complaints. Would book again. When we left we hit up the BLM off road trails nearby.

Adorable cottage on the lake

Cute little cottage. Decorations and amenities were perfect! The description and expectations of the property were mostly accurate. My only complaint- and it’s kind of a big one, and I really debated on how many stars should be removed for this: the house stinks of urine. My daughter swears it’s cat urine, but regardless it’s stinks. It’s the only reason we would not return. We love to book again later this summer but I will definitely check if the carpet was removed and rugs replaced. We kept the windows and slider open and we could not get rid of the stink. I was very disappointed by this because from the description and reviews I was not expecting this. I only removed one star overall because to some extent a pet friendly home will have some sort of smell most of the time, but we travel a lot and never have we ever had to deal with such a terrible stench. Hopefully this gets resolved or the source of the smell is found and we will for sure return!

Amazing location and home like feel. We loved the simple home accommodations such as condiments, seasonings, extra linen and even simple things like Qtips. Its always great when we do not have to purchase spices to tote. All the comforts of home. Garden was serene, clean and spacious. Dogs loved the entire space. Only small issue with the toilet not always flushing and for comfort sake, maybe a slightly larger couch. We will absolutely be back. Thank you

Excellent getaway

The Sunset Beach Cottage was the perfect location for my weekend getaway. Only three hours from the South Bay, I found this to be an excellent value. The two bedroom cottage has all modern amenities, a fenced yard for my pups, and a big beautiful deck overlooking the lake. The fire pit on the beach was a warm welcome next to the pier which led to a shaded table and chairs on the water. Multiple grocery stores are nearby. Will definitely consider for a return trip.

Great spot, perfect for extra space for a large group

Susan is an excellent, communicative host. The cottage is next to the main Sunset Beach House, and it's perfect extra space for larger groups. I left a fuller review on the Beach House property, but this cottage is just as excellent and is steps away from the main house so everyone was comfortable and close by. Thank you, Susan!

Very nice little lakefront cottage

Very clean, well stocked cottage with a new dock giving access to Clear Lake. Owner extremely response and accommodating to all requests and questions. Didn’t catch any fish but the grand kids had great fun trying!

It was everything it was advertised to be, very nice condition, clean, and the bed was so comfy!

I've rented a lot of properties through VRBO/HOME AWAY but not often enough to always remember all the steps. Need to remember to view the contract during the search step to learn all the unadvertised details. Here, we had to launder any towels we used, and do the dishes, which we didn't learn until we had already made our decision. When we're on vacation, we don't want to do laundry or dishes so we brought our own. This is in addition to a cleaning fee plus a service fee and paying top dollar. The place was nice and the owner was very prompt and responsive. Other than the fires in the area we had a great time.

The Beach Cottage was a wonderful place to stay......completely equipped for our family!! :)

You really have to visit the beach cottage to see how perfect it is on the inside for all your needs. :) Everything is very nice and updated and is well kept and very clean. :) The fishing is great, as we caught lots of fish!! :) :) The cottage is located perfect for the market, grocery store(s), and restaurants. :) We are planning to revisit real soon.........just wonderful!! :) :) Thank you again for creating a great mini vacation for our family and furry friends!! :) :) The Filbert Family (Includes Harley, P, and Daisy)

Great cottage to stay

We just love this comfortable cottage when we had a vacation at Clearlake.. The house is clean and very convenient for fishing. Highly recommended this beautiful cottage for family vacation.

How can you go wrong. Beautiful weather, the cottage, deck and patio are perfect for relaxing. The renovated dock is a big improvement, and a great place to hang out. This was our third stay here, and we hope to return. Brad and Sheila Higbie

Loving this location

First time renting the cottage, but we have rented the house before and loved everything about the cottage. The cottage is perfect for a little family or a couple for a nice get away. Had such a blast here. Planning our next years trip already. Thank you so much for helping us make awesome memories with our little families.

Sunset lovers dream location

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint cottage. The views from the dining room and living room was one of our favorite parts of our stay. We could enjoy the view of the lake from indoors on rainy days and still feel like we were out by the lake. Watching the sunrises and the sunsets from the dock was very peaceful and we enjoyed the various bird life all around us. This is a perfect getaway if you are in need of some down time and just want to relax and be around the quiet. We stayed during late fall so we did not do much outdoors but there is the potential to enjoy so much outside. The beds are very comfortable and I actually slept better here then I have in a long time in my own home. The new shower remodel was enjoyable as it is designed well for tall people. Sometimes that is very hard to find. We will be returning to rent this cottage again. The owners are very accommodating and care about any concerns you may have. Thank you for opening up your cottage and sharing it with us.

Hidden Gem!

A perfectly situated cottage with everything needed for a perfect get-away! The house cute, well furnished, and the surroundings quiet. We spent most of the daytime canoeing on the lake and the evenings on the front porch watching the sun set over the lake. Will be back for sure!

Love this cottage.

The cottage was very clean and complete with everything we needed. Sitting out on the deck was relaxing,it is shaded and the view of the lake is nice. We had plenty of space to park our truck & boat trailer;also one car. I would definitely rent this place again.😄

Excellent cottage on the lake!

We loved the cottage and the property! Very clean and well maintained. Back yard is adorable and overlooks the lake. The entire setting including the private beach and dock were just what we were looking for. Had a very relaxing and wonderful time!

This year my family and I rented the cottage as well as the main house. Both homes are beautiful.

Both properties are well-kept, cleaned and come with several essentials. We enjoyed the hot tub, hammock, fire pit, canoe, grill, foos ball, & ping pong tables. There is so much to do for all ages. My family ranges in age from 7 months-67 years old. We all had a blast. This was our second time renting this property and look forward to renting again, next year.

A beautiful property that feels like it's a million miles from home, but yet only 2 1/2 hours from the Bay area and Sacramento valley. A great place to play on the lake, or simply lay back in a lounge chair under the trees to relax by the fountain.
