Butterfly Villa Family Suite: Private Deck & Jacuzzi, Ocean & Mountain Views

Join us for the spectacular views, warm village hospitality and rich natural life of the Kogelberg Biosphere at the Butterfly Villa.

The Family Suite is a 3-bedroom space on the ground floor of the Butterfly Villa.
Comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 2 children (an extra double sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 2 more). We took great care to ensure maximum privacy and comfort. All 3 bedrooms (two with queen-sized beds and one with a double single bed bunk) have doors that open to outside spaces. We have selected every piece of linen to ensure that your sleep is plush and restful - many of our guests say that ours are the most comfortable beds they’ve ever been in.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need to prepare a feast. Alternatively, you can take advantage of our recommended private chef service if you’d rather order in or have a meal prepared on-site. Filtered drinking water is provided.

The Butterfly Villa is 90% off-grid, with solar panels providing electricity even when the power is out. Free unlimited WiFi is available throughout the Lodge.

What makes the Family Suite truly exceptional is the large patio that runs along the front of the property, from which the view over the village and False Bay is simply breathtaking. We’ve made this outdoor space even more special by installing a Jacuzzi and by building a giant fire pit with seating nestled in the fynbos. The open-plan lounge and kitchen/dining area (with indoor fireplace) flows naturally onto the al-fresco lounge on the patio (it can be enclosed with exterior blinds for more privacy or to keep the wind out).

Off-street parking is available behind a secure, gated entry with sufficient space for up to 6 vehicles. The electric fence also serves the purpose of keeping the baboons at a healthy distance.

The Family Suite may share the parking area with guests from the Glass Suite if both units are booked.
The Butterfly Villa Suites can also be booked together for the exclusive use of the whole floor - it then includes the self-contained Glass Suite that sleeps 2 adults and 1 child on a pop-out bed and has an en-suite bathroom.
Please note that the top floor of the Butterfly Villa is reserved for private use.

The Family Suite is pet-friendly, subject to certain conditions. Please check with us before arriving.

The Family Suite is all on one level with passages and a bathroom wide enough for a wheelchair; there is just one small step at the entrance.

The Butterfly Villa is a 5-minute walk from the beach and a choice of great restaurants and shops in the village of Pringle Bay. Activities in the area include sandboarding, kayaking, biking, Blue Flag beaches, surfing, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP), swimming and numerous walking trails.

Pringle Bay is situated in the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere, and guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of local wildlife from the kitchen, dining room, and patio, or take a short drive to the Stony Point Penguin Colony or the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden in Betty's Bay. Pringle Bay is a fantastic spot for whale watching from July to October.
