It is IN the woods, which is a bonus for me. The outhouse was clean, there’s two outhouses in 1 building. There was no one staying in the yurt across the driveway, so I was alone. Nice. The cabin was clean. It looks like they are adding a screen porch, which will help keep the bugs at bay if you want to just sit outside a while during bug time. There was a Solo fire pit with available wood, which I didn’t use. I love the back window in the cabin, watching the hummingbirds and other unusual birds while inside. I would classify the two twin beds as cots with mattresses. I sat on the porch with the little table and chairs, that was nice. You can walk a short distance to use a water pump. Unfortunately, it had some long grass on the path to it, so I didn’t use it (tick season). Fortunately, I brought plenty of water with me. It is very close to Grand Marais. I do like the hike to Pincushion Mtn and there is plenty of other hiking nearby. It is a camper cabin, no running water or toilet. Although it was a little struggle booking it after changing the dates, it got booked. I would come back.
