No need to split your trip between locations. Our property is located in the desirable Kohala area on the sunny and dry side of Waimea Town. Beautiful warm days and cool evenings and NO MOLD.

Awesome sunsets and quiet starry nights await you at this very clean and cozy one bedroom home situated at 1700 feet on two lush acres of the dry and sunny side of Waimea Town. From here you are only minutes away from the finest beaches (such as Mauna Kea and Hapuna, water activites ( sailing, fishing, whale watching, great snorkeling and diving), dining and golfing the Big Island has to offer.

This thoughtfully built home is serene and quiet located where the temperature provides warm days and cool evenings. The tranquil property is lavishly and organically landscaped with a variety of tropical fruits (We Like To Share) flowering plants and trees.

A Comfortable and tastefully furnished living room provides space for a relaxing read or television viewing and opens out onto a large private lanai. Luxuriate here in the serene setting or nestle into the tropical furnishings.

The separate master bedroom offers a queen size bed and luxurious linens. The private bathroom includes a washer and dryer for your convenience. For a real treat... experience the additional outdoor shower garden under the stars.

A fully equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing meals with local Hawaiian foods from the nearby farmers markets. Enjoy dining at the table or breakfast bar or Al Fresco dining on the deck.

Harmonious Hawaiian Hideaway. Clean and lovely interior. The grounds are beautiful, and grilling on the deck overlooking the orchard at sunset was a plus. Great location perfect for our stay.

Lovely Island Getaway

Location, Location, Location

For those familiar with the Big Island as we are, we were thrilled to find a spot so close to Waimea and the islands best beaches at such a reasonable price! Although the layout was kind of funky (you go through an office/entry then through the bathroom to get to the main living area, it was very cool! It would be a great place for long term digital nomads. The outside shower was a delight and the quietness of the area very appreciated. The owner was a solid communicator and kind enough to do a little shopping for us since we got in around 11pm. I always hate to name the cons because I never want to hurt the owner's feelings, but I rely heavily on the honest reviews when selecting a place as we travel a lot. The sagging, soft bed was a bummer; lanai/deck could use repair, microwave is pretty dated and difficult to get to, and the small tv is in an armoire and is pretty much only a few inches above floor level.However, as long as the bed was replaced (which the owner indicated he has plans to do) we would TOTALLY stay here again and would recommend it highly to others! We also loved the understated decor and all the BOOKS!

Quick trip to the islands.

Access was easy off the main road. Great location for many activities and locations. It was nice and cool at night and the house has great ventilation. The outdoor shower was great.

Such a lovely place

Gorgeous property, very quiet and away from traffic noise. No A/C, but fans were set up to circulate the cooler outside air in the evening and we slept comfortably. And it stayed cool during the day when it was closed up. I’m sensitive to cleaning products, and it was nice to see natural/fragrance free products were provided. He set us up with a starter kit of coffee, and there were oils and spices set up in the kitchen for our use. Kitchen was well equipped. Easy to drive just 10-15min to the Kahala coast beaches, shopping and restaurants in one direction, and Waimea in the other. Very spacious and comfortable for the two of us.

A week near Waimea

This property is clean, attractive and peaceful. We did feel closed in by the structure and the lovely but gated garden. In an area with sweeping views of hills and spectacular sunsets, we had to go on a long walk or get in the car to see them. The privacy has this downside.

Spacious and well appointed modern yurt. Take your relaxing stay in Hawai’i up a notch and enjoy the outdoor shower under swaying palms with private bamboo walls. Locate best beaches on the island at the state beach with fee parking and two other hidden beaches requiring limited free day pass at Mauna Kai and Mauna Lea Resorts.

Lovely stay in a quiet country residential area.

This cottage was quiet, very clean, all amenities needed for a week stay. Outdoor grounds pleasing and interesting. The hosts were cordial, available and excellent communicators. Great value for a couple.

Cool Place

We rented half of a duplex yurt on a nice piece of property. Nice location, out of the way but close to town. We were there during a high wind advisory in February, so we had plenty of wind. We drove down to the Kona area for a snorkeling trip and had beautiful weather. We drove to volcanoes national Park and it rained up there a lot. There are many microclimates on that island to explore. Furniture was very comfortable. The bed was great. The refrigerator was missing either a drawer or a shelf, I couldn't tell, and the clothes dryer had some funky temporary knobs. Other than that, everything was in great shape and the property owner was responsive.

Great Location with lots of space

Located between Kona and Hilo (about an hour to each) if you want to visit them but far enough away from the "city" where you can enjoy the quiet and village life. I'm not sure I ever figured out how the multiple yurts were connected or how many different residents there were but we rarely saw anyone else during our 11 day stay. The weather was great - cool enough at night to not require air conditioning but warm and sunny during the day with plenty of breezes to keep you cool. The outdoor shower was an extra special touch and really made you feel like you were vacationing in Hawaii. The kitchen was fully stocked with every gadget you could possibly need but note that save for the very basics (salt, pepper, oil, coffee, sugar) you will need to stop at the grocery store for all of your foodstuffs. Plenty of towels and bath supplies, thanks for also supplying us with the beach equipment, that came in handy. The outdoor area was great and we many nights we made use of the very nice grill. Quiet, comfortable and peaceful with a responsive host - we had no problems during our stay and would stay here again on return trips to the Big Island!

Pleasant and relaxing stay !

Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends ! House is quite and peaceful, with nice layout, quality interior furnishings, beautiful garden and patio. We liked, that the entrance hall has chair, bench and large beautiful wooden desk there you can comfortably place things before taking your shoes off. Сeiling fans in every room kept a nice air circulation on hotter days. Kitchen is spacious and guest room is nicely appointed with a comfortable couch, armchairs, nice dining table and beautiful, probably custom made window curtains. Bedroom has pleasant to touch, high quality bedding, comfortable mattress, blinds and window a/c to keep it dark and cool for a truly restful sleep. We deeply appreciated fragrance free space, bedding towels and ...teapot ! Comfortable beach chairs, towels and umbrella were provided. It's an amazing location for a stargazing. Host Matt was friendly, helpful and even generously offered to use oranges from his trees. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some minor minuses and suggestions for improvement: Dryer's control knobs were broken and one of the ceiling fans closer to kitchen area was making a squeaking noise when rotating. Windows near the deck and slab under the outdoor sink need some light cleaning. It would be nice to have a larger towels which you can wrap around yourself.
