Oceanview Chic Alcove Studio, walk to Town/Beach Pass

Bring your Surf or Paddle Boards!!!! and walk down your semi-private path (shared with only 4 homes) to one of the most pristine white sandy beaches in Montauk. Imagine not having to deal with Ditch Plains parking! but Beach passes are included to explore other town beach both ocean and bay as permitted. Beautifully decorated it comes with TV and WiFi. Ideal for couples or small family and pet friendly. The property is part of a vintage motel called Twin Pond located on 2.5 acres located at 743 Old Montauk Highway. The studio is open living room and 180 degree views of the ocean (1) queen and sleeper sofa option for a child. It's a short distance to town (you can walk) and is near some of the best restaurant. There is outdoor furniture, a table for 4 and a Weber gas grill. This property is located directly oceanside on the Old Montauk Hwy.

Week begins Friday 4pm and ends the following Friday at 11:00am.

$175 cleaning and garbage removal. The dog fee is $250 per dog per week. Only small to medium size dogs. No cats or other animals.

Lovely Weekend Get Away

Small and cute place to stay with a great view and great location. The studio size was perfect for my partner and my pup to stay in for the weekend and enjoy what Montauk has to give in the winter. The host was great and checked in on us to make sure we got in okay and answered any questions we had. Would & looking to stay here again in the summer.

Peaceful escape

Lovely location, well-maintained and with good communication. SUPER easy to walk down to the beach, and a lovely view right from the porch if you’re not feeling the walk. Nice grill, made it easy to cook while we were there. Will be back!

Beautiful location

We had a lovely time at this property. When our original place was unavailable, the property manager upgraded us to the cottage. It was beautiful and well equipped. The view was beautiful and the walk down to the beach was short and peaceful. We would highly recommend this property. We look forward to going back.

Great location

Great location, great view whether waking up with a cup of coffee or relaxing with a glass of wine. Jeanne and Sally were very attentive host making sure we had all we needed. Our unit was very clean. My only complaint would be that the furnishings and appliances were a little dated. Very relaxing vacation looking forward to returning.

Location was perfect for an easy solo beach getaway with my pup. Ocean view and quick walk to the beach. Unit was private, clean and instructions were clear. Jeanne was kind and easily accessible via text. I will return!

Cute studio in great location

We spent a weekend in this cute studio. We really liked the location with easy access to the beach and close enough to walk to Montauk. The studio was clean, well equipped and communication with the host easy. Could be 5 stars, but one star off for the lack of sound proofing - we could basically hear everything from our next door neighbors (and they probably from us).

Perfect (short) getaway

In pitch black darkness could not find the unit. BUT once we found it it was great! ( The owner immediately called back when we could not find the entrance.) Maybe it would be good idea to put all the house numbers on the sign by the road? The place was lovely and we felt comfortable - overall a perfect place to enjoy the area. We hiked 5 miles in Hither Hills park to the beach. Had a liquid lunch in Sag Harbor sine it poured all day on Saturday. Hiked another 4.5 miles at the golf course in Sag Harbor. Dinner at the Inlet was great. Yes, we liked this place. Highly recommend. Thanks!

Perfect little getaway

My dog and I wanted a quiet getaway with easy access to the beach and enough space for him to roam. This beautiful apartment was just what we needed. The kitchen was big enough to cook, there was a “separate” living area to bed, which is sometimes difficult with a studio. the patio was secure that I can leave the door open and let the dog come in and out. The beach was directly across the road with easy access. Most places are walkable within the little town ( depending on weather :)). The only challenge I had was there entrance into the apt ( if not using the patio) is a shared entrance with your neighbors- which isn’t the issue. I just felt that the locks on the doors into my apt was not adequate enough to make me feel safe. It was just the generic door knob lock. Other then that. This honestly was the most amazing little studio and getaway I needed!

Great location and beach access but not much else

Location We had some issues finding the motel and correct unit as the property is unmarked and instructions including our unit were not sent until 15 min after the agreed upon arrival time. That being said, the location is great for beach access and is a very short drive to town (less than 5 min). The Unit While the floors and bathroom were very clean, the studio itself is in need of drastic updating. The oven and many of the utensils are 30+ years old, and the walls were so thin that we could hear someone snoring in the adjacent unit which was connected to ours through a laundry room. Their dogs also barked incessantly throughout the day which was very disruptive. The sheets were very clean and soft, but the bed was lopsided and hard. In the bathroom, the towels were stained and did not dry very easily, and the sink drain was clogged. Luckily the shower had hot water and great pressure. We had a great time in Montauk, but this property positions itself as “vintage” as a means to overcharge for decades of neglect. We won't be staying here next time.

As Clean As Advertised

We enjoyed our long weekend in Montauk. The unit was as clean as advertised, which is what I care most about. The ocean view was much nicer than the adjacent road-side properties because we could see over the dunes and trees. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was going well. Would like to visit again.

Peaceful and breathtaking

Amazing property and location. Breathtaking morning views of the whales on the shore. Very clean and comfortable. Well manicured grounds. Every amenity you could need. Host is great and would highly recommend your stay here. Family and pet friendly. Worth every oenny. Will return.

Great Dog friendly Get-away!

We visited Montauk for a friends wedding. We loved the area, the view and the property. Downtown Montauk is walkable and the beach is right across the street. We were able to bring our dog and he had a blast meeting other dogs at the property and swimming at the beach before 10 am daily. We will come back again next summer!!

Weekend in Montauk

Jeanne's property is close to town and the beach, perfectly located. The space is clean and spacious (as far as studios go). We felt it was perfect for the weekend, and made use of the kitchen and fenced in patio. The place is dog friendly as well, so the fenced in patio is perfect for keeping your dog close by while still being able to enjoy the outdoors. We would return!

Amazing Stay

We had a perfect week in Montauk at Jeanne’s lovely spot. Close to the beach and a beautiful deck to watch the horizon with our dog, who also had a great stay. Clear check in and the place was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We will be going back!

Weekend getaway

The room was very clean cute! Beautiful views of the water. And a short walk to town and the beach. We were able to bring our fur baby which is a nice feature. I would definitely recommend to stay here and would love to come back.

Gorgeous View

I was looking for a little getaway for my little family of 3 (my husband, our fur child pup and myself) that was close to the beach, comfortable and clean! This was the perfect space! It was nicely kept and had everything that we needed. We walked down to the beach numerous times per day. It really was a very easy walk. It was absolutely perfect!! The check in and out process was no hassle. Jean was just a message away and very helpful. We will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!!

Perfect stay at Montauk

The property was better than advertised. The owner reached out to us and was very generous. The view of the ocean from our porch was beautiful. The town, sights, and restaurants are minutes away. I'm looking forward to returning.
