Gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain Weekend Escape!
Well mannered Pets welcomed with owners permission. Must ask ahead. We welcome you to our gorgeous mountain escape!! For discriminating guests who seek the finest accommodations and our property is one of the only large ski in ski out home for rent at Wintergreen Resort. Superb for a family ski vacation, beautiful for a summer get away to beat the heat, or a sneak away to see the beautiful autumn colors.

There are beautiful views of the mountains from every room. The spacious main deck allows watching the skiers race down the mountain in the winter, or relaxing and dining at tree top level. Our great room includes a cathedral ceiling and cedar post construction, as well as a dramatic floor to ceiling stone fireplace. Decorated with comfortable but elegant furnishings and tasteful accessories.

The three upstairs bedrooms are spacious with lots of windows. Romantic king-size master suite on the main floor. Two small guest rooms on the lower level. Four and half baths, pillow-top mattresses, down comforters and pillows in all bedrooms.

Lower Level includes large screen TV, DVD , plus game room with ping pong table, hockey table, and dart board, with access to the lower deck.

Our home is located a few minutes drive to the Mountain Inn, Tennis Center, Wintergreen Spa, the Nature Foundation and the famous Devils Golf Course. The 27 hole Stoney Creek Golf Course, Clubhouse, Lake Monocan and more tennis courts are just 20 minutes down the mountain in the valley section of Wintergreen. There are also numerous restaurants, breweries, wineries and hard cider places near by. It is a terrific location.

it's a beautiful property in a quiet section of Wintergreen with very nice views. because it backs up to a ski slope there are nice views and great light in the house all day. the home is very well equipt and beautifully decorated. i look forward to my next stay.

We had such a wonderful time in your lovely home. The fireplace is such a nice and cozy feature that we really enjoyed. The house is very private and has great space. The downstairs is wonderful for children and adults of all ages with so many games. We loved everything about our stay.

Everything was perfect!

Could not have been a better winter break ski trip! Janice and Shawn were so communicative and house was so warm (literally, in negative temps over Christmas!) and comfortable down to every detail. A perfect ski vacation, right on Tyro.

Family Getaway

This house is beautiful and well equipped with everything you need. Nice layout for families. Loved the view too. Would love to come back in the winter and see the skiers ski down the ski sloop. The kitchen was awesome with lots of countertop space. Loved the large dinning room table. I would highly recommend this house. The owner was very accommodating and it was an easy check in process. Will definitely be back.

TaPuSu family reunion

The property was beautiful and fit our family well. The open floor plan was important to me so that the family could be together for everything. We would have liked for the hot tub to be working but it want that big a deal. The Smeallie’s were very communicative and kind. I would recommend this location and the Smeallie’s to family and friends.

Superb, cozy and convenient for our large family

We had a wonderful stay at this incredible home. The pics don't do it justice. Super cozy and comfy throughout Amazing stone fireplace. Our family, including my 78 yo parents, greatly enjoyed the nice game room and even played ping pong! The location is perfect and convenient to entire Wintergreen resort. Owners are very responsive and communicated frequently to ensure we were happy. Janice even went to great lengths to help us with reservations for dinner, lift tickets etc. They even texted us a couple of times to check on us while they were traveling overseas. Impressive. We are frequent VRBO renters and this was one of our favorite stays ever. Thank you Janice and Shawn.

Wonderful time in Wintergreen

Shawn has a beautiful home - perfect for our family and friends. The place was immaculate - beautiful view, and lots of room. Loved the kitchen - well -planned for making family meals. The screened porch was so relaxing, and my kids (all in their 20s) really enjoyed ping pong and darts in the game room. And Shawn and Janice provided really helpful info about the area and places to visit. We hope to be back again before too long!

Amazing place!

We stayed there for a corporate retreat and the house was perfect for our needs. We were able to ski in/out right out the back door. The house was large enough to offer separate space for everyone and allow us to meet. Thank you!

Perfect Family Retreat

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for a family weekend get together. I have been going to Wintergreen for 30 years and I can believe we enjoyed this home more then any other we have visited at Wintergreen. The Owners have made this both a warm and comfortable home but also have shared many games, ping pong tables and other items which made the stay all the more enjoyable. They really put a lot of thought into what families might enjoy when staying at their home. Would definitely stay again.

How do I count the ways I loved this home? We stayed 3 nights as a group of 5 for a work retreat at this wonderfully appointed, absolutely stunning mountain vacation home. The location is ideal if you enjoy the outdoors & privacy along with a great view of the slope. We spent hours just relaxing on the deck which runs the full length of the house! Our nights were spent watching football on the big-screen & playing darts, ping pong and table hockey in the game room.The owners bent over backwards to make sure our every need was met. It's a rare gem to find a home of this caliber available as a rental. The surrounding area has plenty to do even though it seems like you're out in the middle of the country. There are plenty of local wineries, a few brewpubs, a cidery, restaurants, golf, hiking, etc. If you like staying first-class, look no further than this home, you wont' be disappointed.

This house is big enough to sleep 9, with children, but comfortable enough to not get lost in the house. Every room has a great view, and it is a great place to relax. In Winter, it is ski in, ski out, and you cannot beat the convenience. In the spring, summer and fall you can't beat enjoying the deck overlooking the mountains.

The downstairs game room, tv room provides a wonderful place for kids to hang out, while the upstairs is perfect for grownups. The spacious deck is great for dining or relaxing. In the fall, the Blue Ridge mountains provide colorful autumn days. In winter, the home provides not only luxury and comfort, but the privilege of being the only ski-in, ski-in home of this quality -- there is not a better place on the mountain
