SeaOats cottage is a gracious getaway for two in scenic Port Aransas on Mustang Island. This beautiful newly constructed home was built as a Vacation Rental. Located on the 'quiet end' of 11th Street in Port Aransas, the SeaOats sits just below the historic Chapel on the Dunes, which is the oldest consecrated church in Port Aransas, now popular for private weddings on Mustang Island.

Proud owner Jim Atwill has planned each area of the construction with your comfort and luxury in mind. All finishes in this home are high end, from the red oak flooring to the Travertine tile spacious shower to the Texas pink granite on the counter tops. Finest stainless steel appliances appoint the kitchen. Make no mistake, there is no accommodation in Port Aransas that comes close to the comforts you will feel in the SeaOats Cottage. Sleeping for 2 adults only, relax, get away, rekindle, rejuvenate, and relive those past vacations when times were slower. No children or pets.

Adorable cottage that squeezes a ton of style and comfort into its compact footprint. We loved our stay and found everything to be well appointed and thought out for maximum comfort. We love Port A and are looking forward to our next visit!

Great cottage just perfect for 2 adults. Parking got tricky thanks to the Chapel on the Dunes traffic but the cottage itself offered everything we needed.

Short trip

The cottage was so cute and in a great area near the beach and restaurants. The steps to the chapel is right next door so there is some walking traffic. The chapel was locked so we couldn’t go inside but also very cute. The blinds in the restroom didn’t close all the way which bothered me a little but we would stay again.

Perfect wedding getaway

Located right next to the Chapel in the Dunes that we rented for our private ceremony. The house is in a cozy quiet part of Port A, but so close to everything. We were provided with a cell # to contact for any questions & they promptly answered. We were provided with some amazing coffee and a bottle of champagne !

Pleasant little cottage

The cottage is located within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and grocery. It's a charming place in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The structure itself has all of the modern conveniences with a simple thoughtful design. It's obviously well maintained and cleaned. We enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful Stay

This is our second time staying at Sea Oats Cottage and it never disappoints. Everything is so clean and of the highest quality. We even got to see a wedding at the chapel on the hill while we sat outside on the porch. Definitely will be back!

Little slice of heaven

This coastal cottage was perfect for a quick getaway. All the interior touches and prime location made this home a star upon arrival. We so enjoyed the side deck with table and chairs. The view of the Chapel on the Dunes was an extra bonus, thanks Jim for your hospitality and Becky for great communication and easy check in. We would love to come back.

Wonderful location, and lovely cottage. Bed was SO comfortable. Only negatives I have: could use better lighting in the bathroom - can’t really open window shade, because the window is right in the front porch, and would be really nice to have a washer dryer!!! We went on two fishing trips and would have been nice to wash clothes before headed back hone

Perfect cottage for couples!

We love Port A and usually a family trip. This was just me and the wife for our anniversary and it was perfect. Location is on the quiet side of 11th, easy access to town, or the beach. Rented a golf cart and never needed the truck for anything while we were there. Jim the owner was super nice and was genuinely kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. This cottage is a no brainer for a couple. Wrap around deck was the perfect hang out for a little music and glass of wine. Thank you Jim for sharing your lovely cottage with us.

Sea Oats Review

The property was great. Walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants and attractions. Very clean, well equipped, and appointed. The property managers Anne and Rebecca were very responsive, friendly and informative. The owner was kind enough to supply us with really good coffee and a bottle of champagne for New Years Eve. Would definitely return again.

Newly constructed as the first Accessory Dwelling Unit in Port Aransas, the design plays off the Katrina cottage plan and was designed by the owner's brother, an artist in Santa Fe and the plans were drawn by a well known Santa Fe designer.

Local craftsmen added their expertise to this design which makes good use of every inch of the space in this gorgeous cottage. From the appliances, fixtures, lighting and furnishings each piece fits perfectly in place and the whole of the creation is much greater than the unique parts that went into it. Not fussy, but uniquely high end finishes from the red oak flooring, granite counter tops, luxurious linens, no detail has been overlooked.
