Private home located in the prime desirable quiet neighborhood of Country Club Shores, in the sought after southern end of LBK with bonus of avoiding North-side traffic. This 3 bedroom / 3 full bath home is on a deep water canal, fourth in from Sarasota Bay. Wake up to water views of the Bay in this recently furnished and painted home in south Longboat Key.

Take a short walk to the deeded powdery white sandy beaches and calm turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and watch for nesting sea turtles laying their eggs. Stay for the incredible beach sunsets which are breathtaking and very private.

Five bikes, three kayaks, board games, provide family fun located on site at the property. The deep water canal has excellent water views, and fishing! See dolphins in and the occasional manatee in the back yard! Fantastic private pool to relax in at the end of the day.

This home has been recently furnished. Each room has been decorated with an industrial coastal decor. Beautiful caged pool that overlooks the canal where you can sit and have your morning breakfast at the bistro table.

In addition to the spacious bedrooms and living spaces, the garage can accommodate one car, up to a large SUV. We have a propane gill and a charcoal grill. We also have a printer, 55 inch monitor, and sit/stand desk if you need to check in on work while visiting paradise!!!

Our home is only three miles from the famous St. Armand’s Circle and Lido Beach where you can indulge in incredible restaurants and shopping. Publix supermarket and CVS shopping center are under two miles away. The Sarasota airport is a quick 20 minute drive.

Fabulous holiday

The house offered everything we could need and much more besides. The location was amazing, with the beach a short stroll away and the canal and the bay on the doorstep. Spacious, comfortable and a real "home from home".

We could not have chosen a better place! The house was beautiful, clean , well stocked. The owners were attentive and helpful. Absolutely the perfect place for our family. It was our first time visiting that part of Fl and we fell in love! We will definitely be back!

My family and I had a lovely time at this property! The house is in a quiet neighborhood that is just a short walk to the beach, but is also close to everything Longboat Key has to offer. The kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We were very happy with our choice of this vacation home. Every aspect met our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped and beautiful. The remainder of the house was decorated up to date and comfortable. The location of this home has all the convenience to shopping, restaurants, and beach.

Tropical oasis with canal

We loved it! Our family had so much fun fishing off of the canal, swimming in the pool, and relaxing on the private beach that's walking distance from the house! House was clean, well equipped and close to the grocery store. Our family of six could stretch out and relax at this tropical oasis.

What more could you ask for?

Our family of six (4 adults, 2 children) spent 2 wonderful weeks at this lovely, well supplied, single story house and using it as our home base. A heated pool, sand beach within walking distance, well appointed living spaces, and wonderfully accommodating owners made this a perfect vacation! In the words of our 6-year old granddaughter, the home is "magical"!

Wonderful vacation home!

We had a fabulous vacation staying at this property. Longboat Key is beautiful and the house is in a great location. The owners are wonderful to deal with and truly want you to have a great vacation. We used the two kayaks several times and having the kayak launch was awesome. We fished off the dock every night and used the pool everyday. The house is laid out nicely with all the amenities you need. We truly loved staying at this house and hope to go back next year!

What fun!

A fine time was had by all in and about Mairead and Mike's comfortable, roomy and attractive vacation house! We enjoyed biking, kayaking, fishing, swimming and just relaxing in the dock chairs, watching the sun set and night fall, as seabirds foraged. It was great place to return "home" to after the beach! All the best!

Perfect home for our family

This 3 BR 3 BA home was perfect for our month long escape. Little touches made it convenient to work from paradise (desk, laser printer/scanner, and good internet which can be hit or miss on other vacation homes!). The owners checked on us often to be sure we had everything we needed. The beach access is amazingly quiet! Even on weekends there were no crowds. Our kids want to stay the entire summer next time!

So comfortable

We have been renting in Florida over 30 years and in most cases you’re not even left salt and pepper but this house was so well equipped. Bikes, kayak loads of games, magazines and even shampoos etc The house itself is right on the canal and gets the sun most of the day. We really enjoyed our stay and the owner was delightful and very helpful

WOW- we will be back. This is a lovely, fresh home, well outfitted on the canal in amazing Longboat

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house on the bay -side of beautiful Longboat Key. The owners were easy to work with and the home was very clean, and nicely decorated. Not only is the house wonderfully outfitted, the location on the south side of LBK is terrific with easy access to the beach, the bay for kayaking (they have two for your use) and the house is a short bike ride ( bikes also provided) to St. Armand's Circle. The location could not be better!! The canal view from the sunroom/den and outside pool area is beautiful and so relaxing. Truly a resort like experience in a beautiful LBK.

Our favorite Longboat Key vacation

This was not our first visit to Longboat Key, but it was our favorite. We loved our time at the house which was beautifully updated and had everything we could ask for. Morning walks to the beach and enjoying late night dinners around the table with extended family we’re our favorite vacation memories. This is the perfect place for traveling anywhere in the Sarasota area. We we appreciated having bikes at the house to explore the keys. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Our hosts were extremely kind and helpful, always available for any questions. We would be thrilled to come back!

Wonderful stay in Longboat Key

We’ve been coming to Longboat Key for over 25 years and we can honestly say this is the first time we’ve had someone taking such an interest in our stay. Mairead couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant. This is is a lovely home in a fantastic location. A short walk to the beach, a three minute drive to Publix and a short hop to St Armands and all the restaurants (and shops) you could ask for. The home is bright and airy and beautifully furnished. The dock outside is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views. We look forward to hopefully returning in the future.

We had the most amazing trip. Mairead was extremely helpful and responsive, no matter how silly the question. The house was spotless and had everything we needed and then some! The bikes, kayaks, pool, and canal gave us perfect alternatives after a long day at the beach and times when the weather was questionable. It was difficult parting ways with the home and the area in general - such a peaceful and beautiful piece of paradise! Thanks for letting us have some much needed R&R at your beautiful home! We can’t wait to come back to LBK!

In our many stays in Florida this was by far the best. Communication with the owner was excellent. They could not do enough for us.. if we needed anything it was delivered to the front door the next day. Very functional well equipped kitchen. Open floor plan. Good size bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Quality sheets, towels, beach hairs, bikes, kayaks. Great view of the canal from the kitchen, family room and backyard pool deck. Beautiful neighborhood for long walks plus an easy walk to the beach. Location, location, location. Easy access to so many things to see and do in the area. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect!

What a wonderful place to stay. Great house with plenty of room and private pool to cool off in. The waterside dock was a great place to relax and a perfect way to start the day was to eat our breakfast there. Only a short walk or even shorter bicycle ride to the very quiet private beach with clean sand and clear warm water. Everything that is required for a perfectly relaxing vacation was supplied (bicycles, kayaks, grill, pool, beach, dock and sunshine). I have to give a big thanks to Mairead who was incredible. She answered all questions promptly and gave a lot of useful information that we would not even have thought about. The only downside to this vacation was that none of us wanted to leave!

Best Ever

Just returned home from a 3 week vacation in Longboat Key. We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely well appointed home. Mairead’s home is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Seriously, just pack your clothes this house is lacking in nothing. It is airy, comfortable, and sparkling clean. The location is perfect, just a few miles in either direction for anything you need or want. We loved paying our own gas bill to heat the pool so we could set our own water temperature and have the water as we wished. As for the owner Mairead , you could never wish for a better host. Her main concern is her guests’ comfort & needs. She is the best host you could ever ask for. Great communication and always available for any questions. We will definitely return to this home. Thank you Mairead!

Perfect location and fantastic booking experience

My wife and I recently spent a week at Mairead and Mike's place. Having not been to this part of FL before we looked closely at upwards of 20 different places from St. Petersburg to Siesta Key and everything in between. The largest single factor in selecting this place was the amazing communication and overall positive vibe we felt from Mairead during our selection process. It's startling to me how unfriendly and unhelpful some VRBO owners are -- which was not our experience here at all. We loved this place and had a wonderful week. The location turned out to be ideal for us. Just up the road is Anna Marie Island; head south a bit and you're at in St. Armands and Sarasota. St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach, Siesta Key, and Venice are all easy drives. So if you're looking for a nice and VERY quiet home base, with a variety of options for other places to see, this is it. While at the house we took advantage of all the extras provided. The kayaks were a fantastic option, we biked around, and broke in a pair of new fishing poles off the dock. The sun room off the back with views to the pool and dock structure was by far our favorite room and where we spent most of our time (when not on the dock). The dock area is a wonderful place to hang out with plenty of room to hang around. One morning we were treated to two dolphins roaming around chasing fish. I have video's of them lazily surfacing between 2 and 20 feet from us for a solid 15 minutes. Very cool experience. Overall this is an easy 5 Stars and we highly recommend it.
