This is a timeshare resort, and I need to check availability with the resort for each request received.

There is marble and tiles throughout the suite, private hot tubs and the largest swimming pools in Mexico. The beaches are wide and sandy. Rent includes twice-daily maid service, hotel amenities, and transfers from Airport.

The suite comes with a large living room with a well-equipped kitchen with fridge, cooktop, microwave and small appliances. Each bedroom has a king-size bed plus a single sofa bed.

The resort is located in the exclusive Riviera Maya on the Caribbean Sea, 35 minutes from the Cancun International Airport, 45 minutes from downtown Cancun, and 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen and the ferry to Cozumel. It is home to the Cirque du Soleil in Mexico. Among its principal attractions, this extensive mega-resort has many pools including an interactive, interconnected swimming pool, which covers an overall 8000-square-meter water surface, making it one of the biggest in Latin America. There are also luxurious spas and fully equipped gyms.

My wife and I have spent many vacations here. The pool area is spectacular, and the beach is clean clean clean! There was a major beach renewal recently, including development of an exclusive Beach Club. A new high end water park is at the resort as is the Cirque du Soleil. I went scuba diving off the hotel on the Meso American Reef - the most amazing experience!

Resort restaurants are first class and compare well with the best eateries in Cancun or nearby Playa del Carmen. Email me for pics and suggestions of where to eat and what to see.

The resort also has a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course; ask about special golf and spa packages.

Wonderful quick stay

We had a wonderful overnight here with our family of 4. Rosie and team were super responsive! They helped to arrange affordable transportation from the airport, got us a baby crib, and provided spot on recommendations. The pool and slides were great for the kids! The meal options onsite are a bit looted (just buffet style) but there is a hotel store for essentials. We had a wonderful authentic Mexican meal just a short walk from the hotel. Just as an FYI, the room is a flight up (or down) from elevator access. We had to carry our stroller and luggage that one flight. We managed fine and would definitely stay again!!

A very Grand vacation

This property is beautiful, clean, comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in building one and everything was convenient. The staff is exceptional and friendly, always smiling and attentive. Our room was the 2 bedroom and with 5 of us was perfect. The pools are clean and the temperature of the water is comfortable. The restaurants serve good food and I would recommend eating at the Italian restaurant at least once. We did do lots of trips into Playa Del Carmen by taxi and enjoyed the vibrancy of the area. Cancun is a longer drive so I would recommend renting a car or taking the shuttle to save on taxi fare. Worth a trip in if you enjoy shopping. Xel Ha is another great experience and if you are a beginner snorkeler this is a great place to start. Overall our experience was wonderful, exactly as Ed said it would be. Thank you again Ed for everything and you are a pleasure to rent from.

Wonderful week

This is a great property. The unit was spacious and suited us well. We had amazing weather so didn’t stay inside all that much. Ed was a great host to work with and reached out to chat after we booked. We stayed in unit 7 of grand Mayan which was close to everything. We really enjoyed happy hour - 2-for1 drinks at the pool bar. We did a couple excursions (snorkel, Tulum, Cenote and Cozumel). All were great. We did one day at Jungala - which was enough. We thought we might get three days for price of one but that is only for owners. That said - one day was just enough. 😜 As with all Vidanta - the kitchen has basic amenities but you will need to buy any condiments you want. There is a small store on site. We likely would have paid same amount to shop there vs trip to Walmart in Playa del Carmen. Great stay and great host and most relaxing week. Thanks!

Enjoyed our stay

This property is very huge. 5 resorts in 1 big area. based on the property you stay will depend what access you will have to the resort and facilities. Since this location is huge, in order to get around, you will need to use the trains to take you place to place, unless you enjoy walking alot, you can do so. Depending which resort you stay at will depend how much walking you will do. Some resorts in the property are more centralize than others. There much to see, that we didn't have the time to do so as we had set in advance a few excursions. Didnt get much time to check out the resort. Just here and there. But overall we did enjoy our stay. Property Manager, very very responsive, nice and professional. Thank you Ed.

2020 VIDANTA Grand Mayan

Everyone had a great time. We were nervous about traveling abroad with the recent pandemic, but impressed with Vidanta's commitment to safety. During our entire trip, we did not see a single staff member not wearing a mask. The Property manager (Ed) was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We have plans to return in the future and will continue to use Vrbo.

This resort is absolutely amazing! It is beautifully maintained. We were initially overwhelmed by the size but quickly figured it out! Our suite was centrally located to the pools, restaurants, etc. so the only time we needed to catch the shuttles was when we where exiting the resort for excursions or checking out. The pools are beautiful. Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family of 4. We visited several of the resort restaraunts but also cooked in our suite. The supermercado in Puerto Moreles was a quick cab ride and had everything we needed but we found out that Jade boutique, on site, has a great selection of groceries that were comparibly priced. Thank you Ed for a wonderful family vacation! We LOVED it

Review of Grand Mayan Riviera - Vidanta

Vidanta's Grand Mayan Riviera Maya is an absolutely stunning resort. The staff, from the front desk to the concierge to the wait staff, exceeded our every expectation. The restaurants are fantastic and room service is as well. Bar service on the beach and at the pools is excellent. Ed Fine was very responsive when emailed with questions. He requested a room for us in one of the buildings closest to the center of activity and we were placed in building 1. The building is next door to the main lobby as well as close to pools and restaurants. You will not be disappointed with a stay at this resort! It was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. I would not hesitate to book with Mr. Fine again! Absolutely wonderful experience!

A WEEK IN PARADISE!!

Traveled with Daughter, grandson, another 4 person family to Vidanta Grand Mayan 1st of July. This was my 5th, their 2nd trip to this piece of Paradise! The 2 bedroom rooms were perfect for family w/teens and my 1 bedroom room was so big!!! Full kitchens and two bathrooms made room for everyone and fixing breakfast was easy. Taxi's take you to close by grocery stores and Vedanta staff brings purchases back to your room. Speaking of staff: every single person working there is there to make sure YOU have a fantastic time. Greetings and smiles all around! The grounds are meticulously cared for and the vegetation is absolutely beautiful. We discovery a new (at least since our last visit) BEACH CLUB!!! OVER THE TOP!!! Restricted to certain levels of guests, beautifully laid out, personal care and assigned wait person. The Beach Club faces the beautiful blue ocean and has lovely small pools, with deluxe lounge chairs. We ate at the Havana Moon, a few times because it has something for everyone's taste and the breeze and view of the ocean are super! We also ate at the GONG, delicious Chinese - where I had 3 appetizers for my meal. Everyone was delighted with their selections! Also enjoyed an "adult" dinner at the Italian restaurant..Superb high quality food and impeccable service! Also went for a last day breakfast at the Green Break, a casual good dining restaurant by the golf course. Omelets were outstanding, and fresh jellies - umm. All the ladies enjoyed a wonderful relaxing massage at the SPA....such a break and so serene! Check in and out are super easy and the new "transportation hub" works great! We did two all day activities: A tour of Tulum and swimming in a "cenoto" (underground river) that was the highlight of my trip. The rest were thrilled with our "snorkeling with whale/sharks" adventure. Again, completely arrange through the resort. For our group this is the "go too" place for the perfect resort vacation! I'm sure we will book this again. Thanks to Ed Fine for making this reservation so easy, no problems whatsoever!!! That's what you want for a trip like this! We will be sure to book through Ed again! Beautiful property

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The room seemed very clean and was exactly as represented. Our questions to Mr Fine were answered promptly and graciously. We would definitely return to this fabulous resort for another relaxing vacation.

Grand Luxxe. Beautiful 5* Resort. Great fun for the family.

We stayed at the Grand Luxxe at the Grand Mayan. The entire place was extremely well run. Almost like a Disney park. I mean that in the way of excellent service and very clean. Food We ate at almost all the restaurants. Burger Custom- Really good good burgers and apps Gong- Sushi items and dumplings were awesome. The grilled fish entrees not good. Frieda's- Great Mole. Very authentic tasting. Stay away from the "Mexican Pizza". No good. Blanche- Breakfast buffet- Really good and cheap. Havana Moon- Really Really Good. Red Curry was the best dish of the trip Tacos Break- Pastor tacos are a must. Had them twice. Greenbreak- Rueben sandwich was very good. Burger was as well. Room Service- Was actually good. Pools The pools were all very different. Grand Luxxe- Very quiet and relaxing. Food comes from Burger custom Grand Mayan- Huge. Multiple pool bars. Didn't feel packed. Beach Club- Felt like a fun Vegas pool. Joya Went to the late show. It was really good. Only about 1 hr 15 min. Any seat is fine. Do not upgrade or pay to get closer to the center. There is no reason. Negative I knew a driver from last time and the resort didn't want us to leave. They want you to book tours through them and make it hard for you to get out. Demand rides to the front gate. Also there is lots to do and see down by Tulum. This resort is far from that area. It's a hour plus drive. Traffic was bad during Holy Week. Overall we would definitely come back. We had a great week.

Amazing Stay at a World-Class Resort

Fabulous! That's the best one word description of our stay at the Grand Mayan. Suite was huge and immensely comfortable for our family of 5. Living room was great for entertaining, and the six seat dining table was perfect for enjoying the delicious room service. Restaurants at this Vidanta complex were incredible! Amazingly high quality gourmet food preparation with great attention to detail and presentation, and service was absolutely top-notch from the staff. Would put them up against the finest anywhere in the world! Every employee at this extraordinarily large resort complex was so attentive and kind! You do not see this level of guest attention from every employee anywhere else. The pools and grounds are exquisitely beautiful and meticulously maintained at all times. This was the cleanest resort we have ever encountered anywhere. Twice daily maid service kept the rooms tidy, clean and beautifully maintained at all times, and the nightly turndown service, including the perfect making of sofa beds, was so nice to experience. Can't say enough how great our stay was, and Ed was a pleasure to deal with and provided great advice about how to make the most of staying at this Vidanta property and what to do around Playa del Carmen - Thank You, Ed!

Fabulous facilities - amazing resort with great rooms and plush surroundings

We had a great time in our 2 BR, 2 Bath condo. BRs were large with King size beds; each with a large Bath with jacuzzi tub, shower and double sinks. Kitchen was small but very adequate for a few breakfasts and lunches on our own. Excellent selection of restaurants, ranging from deli (with awesome subs and salads) to high end Gong and Nektar. Pool selection was outstanding, from Mayan Palace to Beach Club - which gave you a "French Riviera" feeling with posh pampering from staff. We enjoyed our walks on all the boardwalks through the lush surroundings. Only deficit was rocky beach that made beach walks difficult. All in all, a wonderful trip!

Great location; Beautiful Property

Great location close to beach and pool. Nice apartment (Kitchen was functional and could use updating but fine). The property is huge and lovely--you feel like you're in the middle of a jungle. A few of the restaurants take reservations (not all and they had long waits) so make them early.

We love the Grand Mayan property. It is large with multiple pools, great staff and restaurants.

We love the property which is expanding. The restaurants are great and the grounds are beautiful. We were always able to find available pool chairs at one of the many pool areas. The staff is hospitable and helpful but the time share sales people are a pain. I suggest avoiding the presentation as it will take a full day of your vacation and is a waste of your valuable vacation time.

Great Vacation Spot

Thank you Ed for helping with arrangements for the Grand Luxxe. We loved this facility and the rooms were extremely spacious, luxurious and beautifully laid out, wonderful kitchen and bathrooms, and a really nice big outdoor patio that we thoroughly enjoyed every morning and evening. Oh – and a great coffee maker. The resort is large, beautifully landscaped and the raised walkways were nice and well lighted that we enjoyed for our evening walks. If you did not want to use the walkways, the shuttles were regular and the drivers were friendly, helpful and fun. Yes, the beach was rocky, but the pools more than compensated as they are absolutely beautiful with great service (beverages, towels, and food) – plus the beaches were great for ‘walking on the beach’ and super nice palapas. Restaurants are also all good. The concierges at the building were so friendly and helpful – they made it so easy to make any arrangements. We never found any need to leave the property. We are going to do this again next year – no reason to go anywhere else!

Holiday in the Garden of Eden

We just returned after two weeks in the lush tropical landscape at the Grande Luxxe? Our studio was luxurious and very spacious. Even though the resort is large it takes no time to walk using the raised walkways or the shuttles which are very fast and efficient. Although the beach is very rocky and weedy, there are so many wonderful pools throughout the resort they more than compensate for the beach. We tried out all the wonderful restaurants and were amazed at the phenomenal live entertainment at many of them each evening. As for the setting of the Cirque theatre and Nectar restaurant it is without a doubt exceptionally outstanding and needs to be seen to be believed. All of the staff were courteous and helpful and we have never seen such diligence at cleanliness throughout the resort. There are not enough adjectives to express how impressed we were with this resort. Thank you Ed, we so look forward to our next visit. Hopefully our Canadian dollar improves by then as everything is priced to the American dollar.

Absolutely loved it (again)

Thank you Ed, for helping us arrange another wonderful Christmas vacation. We stayed again at the Grand Bliss and love the facility. The rooms are extremely spacious and very comfortable. My two college aged kids had a blast with all the evening activities and met lots of kids from all over. The beach is considerably upgraded from last year and is fantastic now. Restaurants are all phenomenal, especially Tramanto. We never even left the property this time. All necessities can be purchased at Jade, including food and beverage. The Burger Custom Made is definitely a must try while you are there. For fun, don't miss the beach party at Havana moon. We enjoyed a few days at the new Beach Club and dinner at the new Spanish tapas restaurant. Especially loved the beet and goat cheese salad. There are so many pools and restaurants to choose from that you just can't do them all in one week. Insider tips: you can reserve a cabana one day in advance and may cancel by 11 AM, so for the day of, if you you don't have one, check at information desk at about 11 to see if anyone has cancelled. Also the breakfast buffet at Balache is essentially the same but quite a bit cheaper than the breakfast buffet at Del Lago. Thanks again Ed, for your wonderful response, help, and advice.
