60 minutes to Tampa or 90 minutes to Clearwater or Orlando, you can enjoy all the amenities of big city life including, spectacular beaches, amusement parks, world class shopping and a bustling night life and then return to the picturesque town of Hernando Beach resting in Florida's nature coast, to enjoy the slow and relaxed pace that is Florida!
While here you can enjoy the small-town feel, check out the numerous nature and wildlife preserves, many local restaurants, walk along the white sandy beach of Pine Island, enjoy stunning sunsets and fish at the many local fish parks. Kayak or swim with the manatee in the crystal clear Weeki Wachee Springs. Our house includes a 16 ft. dock to tie boats or jet skis to. Bring your own or rent one from one of our local marinas, minutes from our house. We are situated in a deep-water canal with direct access to the gulf, where you can enjoy the world class fishing, including tarpon, and scalloping. Otherwise meander through the canals on the kayaks we provide and take in all the scenery you can handle.
Our house sleeps 10 very comfortably in 5 private bedrooms. Sliding doors on the upper deck fold back completely to enjoy the indoor/outdoor living.
From an in-ground Solar heated pool to cool off in, just relax with a yummy drink, fish, or just take in the water view with visits from manatee to dolphins and ducks it is the perfect place to kick off your shoes, leave your worries behind and relax.
Hernando Beach is the perfect vacation or winter escape!

Great location

This was a great location for our visit with family. We wish it was a little warmer to be able to enjoy the pool. Pool is heated by the sun so no sun no heat.

Swim with Manatee’s

We were so pleased with this property. My 2 grandsons (18 & 19) enjoyed one night of hanging out and playing pool. It was peaceful and roomy with the living space downstairs. Can’t wait to return to this paradise.

Another Great Stay

This is our 5th year at this property! The roominess, location, pool, boat dock is perfect for our annual family vacation! We have been going scalloping for many years and have now stayed at this home for the past 5 years! It’s perfect for our needs! I recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay with numerous people! We will be booking again for next year as well! The owners are also very quick in getting back to you with any questions you may have!

Wish it could be longer

Over all, very nice. Would've liked a better stocked kitchen (utensils) but over all great. We all had a great time. Celebrated 2 birthdays, scalloped (did exceptional).

Loved this house!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was perfect for our two families. We spent every day enjoying the screen room. Our kids loved the small jellyfish in the canal. They glow at night and are harmless if you touch them. Very unique experience. Would love to return in the future

Fun with Family

The property was gorgeous. We had a group of 10 (ages 4-81 years) and there was enough room for everyone. Everything was in working order and well stocked. We were able to cook and be surrounded by the rest of the family every night. Once the day activities were done, we found plenty to do before bedtime.The pool was a bonus. Boat rental and grocery shopping were minutes away as well as activities. Overall, this place was a hit for everyone.

Wonderful

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin had more then enough room for our family to move around with out anyone feeling crowded. My favorite part of the home is the sliders that open up. So much sun shining thru all day. We didn't spend much time inside but when we did it was nice to have so much sun coming in . Only downside was the pool was never warm enough to swim in. 70 degrees and below. Over all we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it

Great location

Our family/extended family (11 of us) spent Christmas here and overall, really enjoyed ourselves. The home is located in a great neighborhood. This was our first time to this part of FL and we found some great things to do! We used the house fishing poles and really enjoyed fishing from the dock. The deck condition is fair so we stayed off of that but the floating dock is great! As others have mentioned the owner David was easy to connect with. Our one and only complaint was the cleanliness of the home. We spent part of the first day cleaning the fridge and floors. For this reason, I rated the home 4 stars.

Our new favorite vacation home!

We usually vacation in Seaside or Saint Augustine but my husband I wanted to explore a new area for our anniversary. The owners responded within fifteen minutes of our reservation request, the quickest response time I've had yet! David was very nice and took time to give us some suggestions on places to visit during our stay. The house was amazing and we had so much fun hanging out at the pool and taking the kayaks out to explore the area. During our stay we went to Pine Island, Caladesi Island (our new favorite beach!) and Clearwater Beach. We ended up spending just a couple of hours in Clearwater because it was just too crowded and we wanted to get back to the peace and quiet of Hernando Beach. We are already planning a trip back next summer with our in-laws and we can't wait for them to see the home and area. We know they are going to love it!

Loved the house

I wanted to truly thank you for renting us your house for our wonderful vacation. We loved the house and all its amenities. There was plenty of room for me, my husband and our two kids as well as my brother his girlfriend and my parents. Great setup to spend lots of time together as well as still having enough space to spread out some. And the docks for allowing us to take out the boats were great too. The kids loved the pool table and the swimming pool as well as the khakis. Very satisfied that any issues that we had you were quick to respond. Thanks again David and Cathy! you have a lovely house! Thank you so much for the beautiful review. Our house is great for large families. With plenty of space to spread out. We have a brand new boat dock as well as a 400 square foot deck over the water to tie up boats.

Amazing beach home!

This house was over and above what we expected. Beautiful, roomy home with a very nice lay-out. We put the family with small children downstairs and the older adults upstairs. Worked out perfectly. The downstairs has a little kitchenette-perfect for parents with babies. We enjoyed the pool table. The pool was great and the kayaks were a blast. I had never tried kayaking and now I am hooked. In the canal I saw jellyfish and even a stingray. Pretty cool! Pine Island beach is perfect for small children. Shallow water, soft sand, a very nice play area and a grill make this a great way to spend a day with the whole family. David was very nice to deal with and we would definitely recommend this house to anyone with a large family. Thank you so much, David, for a wonderful vacation home.
