Experience a "RAD STAY" in this updated, open-concept mid-century home just east of Venice Beach. This private rest and recovery space perfectly blends indoor/outdoor living with expansive window walls that open to surround decking and patios. Enjoy desert-beach minimal vibes, a private primary bedroom spa tub, and thoughtful amenities, all just a 5-minute drive from Venice Pier and a short walk to downtown Mar Vista shops, bars, and restaurants.
The Space:
Our fully remodeled 2-bedroom, 1-bath home offers an open, airy aesthetic ideal for couples, remote workers, or a small family getaway. An ideal space for rest and recovery. The main living areas feature large sliding glass doors that completely open to the outdoor decks.
Living Room: Relax in this light-filled space with a 4K laser projector and Denon surround sound for a true cinematic experience. Spread out on the large modular sofa. Or open the sliding glass doors and do yoga over looking the yard.
Kitchen: The fully-equipped, open-concept kitchen with filtered drinking water for convenience.
Primary Bedroom: Unwind in your private retreat featuring a flat-screen TV with Apple TV and a secluded patio with a spa-like soaking tub for two.
Second Bedroom: Also equipped with a flat-screen TV and Apple TV, this room has direct access to the outdoor area and a medium-sized dog door for your furry friend.
Bathroom: A remodeled, luxurious space featuring a large waterfall walk-in shower, a brand-new smart toilet with bidet, and a smart mirror.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire home and the fully enclosed, hedge-lined property, ensuring maximum privacy. Hang with friends and family outside around the large covered sitting area with gas fire table. Dine outside on the decks and use the gas BBQ grill.
Other Details to Note:
AV: Control the ambiance with the 3-zone Sonos system (living room, bathroom, and front yard).
Outdoor Amenities: The large outdoor covered sitting area includes an auto-ignition gas fire table and four electrical outlets to charge phones and computers. Two outdoor twin-size beds double as couches and provide a unique option for sleeping under the stars.
Pets: We are a dog-friendly home with two medium-sized dog doors for easy outdoor access.
Parking: No onsite parking but street parking is readily available.
Entertainment: A 12’x16’ projector screen is available upon request for outdoor movie nights.
Additional Guests: A queen-size air mattress and linens are available in the closet.
No Onsite Washer/Dryer: We recommend BIG Waves Laundromat 2 blocks away at 3839 Grandview Blvd.
Location/Getting Around:

2 blocks/walk to downtown Mar Vista shops and restaurants
4 miles/10 min drive to LAX
2 miles/5 min drive to Venice Pier
8 miles/10 min drive to Hollywood

Guest access:
Access the property from Barbara Avenue or Wasatch street gate entrance. Enjoy the entire house, front and side yard.
The garage, parking in front of garage, and adjoining lot of property behind fence are not accessible to guests. There are also 2 locked closets in house not accessible to guests.
Pets and Pests:
The space is ideal for dogs we just ask that they are kept off all furniture. We have 2 dog doors where they can come in and out of house and back bedroom at will to access front or stay isolated on side. The front yard is a perfect spot for all size dogs to run around and play. Please try and clean up any poops daily. We have poop bags available in pet section in kitchen for your convenience. Please respect our neighbors and if your pets are unusually vocal please retain them inside if/when needed. The front yard on corner lot is very active with many dogs on walks so your pets will have a blast meeting all the locals thru the fence. Mosquitos and flies have been minor but around during the summer months. We have mosquito candles on all tables and mosquito repellent under the sink if needed. We suggest keeping the screens closed when possible to avoid them getting in the house. But thats totally up to you. We love keeping the screens open when entertaining or enjoying the sun then just doing a bug spray run through house before bed if thats your choice too.

Im originally from SF and love LA. Im finally realizing my dream of building a tiny living experience in Mar Vista and I hope you love it. Just finished remodeling the main house to rent and currently living in the back half of the property building a container home ADU.

Close but far enough from Venice congestion. 10 min drive to Santa Monica or Culver City. 20 minutes to Hollywood.
