Come and enjoy our beautiful 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom country home nestled in the woods in Rual Waterloo. The house has a full furnished kitchen with an unfinished basement, beautiful sitting area with a fireplace and wireless internet. If you like the peacefulness of nature, this is the place to visit. Come to relax and enjoy yourself on your front porch or back deck overlooking your own stocked privet lake. Enjoy watching wild turkey and whitetail deer each day from the comfort of the house. The property also has its own 30x50 pole barn. Guests will feel right at home here. Whether you're looking to relax indoor/outdoors or explore the city, this awesome property is the perfect base for your stay. We had a wonderful stay! The house was greatā€”very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made it feel extra special. The private lake was a highlight for us; fishing kept us entertained and relaxed throughout our stay. Everything was well maintained, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We would absolutely stay again and recommend this home to others.

Do yourself a favor and book this property. We have booked many properties all over Illinois and Missouri and this place just jumped to the top of our list. The property is so relaxing in countless ways. Very secluded, yet restaurants and everything you need are just 15 minutes away in Waterloo.

Megan was great! When the weather was expected to be bad, she sent a message checking to see if we needed anything. I loved that we had full access to the location without the worry of disturbing others, or being disturbed. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Just what I needed. Cannot wait to book this location again maybe in the summer so that we can enjoy the outside.

We loved everything about our stay in the woods. From the minute we pulled into the secluded tree-lined driveway, we felt like we were truly in the woods. Megan, the host, was very kind and easy to communicate with. The house was well appointed and clean. The lake was AMAZING. The fall leaves made the place look magical. We fished, we hiked around the property and we played games in the shed that we brought from home. We will stay again. What a beautiful property!

Exactly as advertised!! In the country a beautiful house with it's own private lake. The host Megan was awesome. She was very proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed for our lengthy stay. " Definitely a hidden gem in the historic town of Waterloo " Looking forward to booking this location again for our future stays while visiting family. Highly recommend if your looking for some serious R.R or just want to get away from your busy life for few days. This place won't disappoint!!!

This property is absolutely breathtaking for a regular stay or an event. I stayed for a few days and also my son's wedding and reception was on the property. From the moment I pulled into the driveway I was was ecstatic over the beautiful home, the lake, nature and the shed. The home was very clean, decorated beautiful and very cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was perfect. Communication with the owner was easy and they were both so accommodating with answers to all of our questions. We had almost 40 guests and parking was easy, we had almost 20 vehicles and there was still plenty of parking space available.The shed was immaculate and huge. Even with 8 tables there was plenty of room for a dance floor and for people to spread out. Space was not an issue at all. I also rented tables and chairs from the owner and delivery was great. All pieces were in great shape and clean. You will definitely see nature out there. The deer arrived every morning to drink out of the lake, listen for the owl hooting and see the squirrels playing in the trees. I'd also like to add, I appreciated the concrete from the house to the shed door. This made it so much easier for the older guests to walk from the shed and then take the 1 step up to the front deck and be able to step inside. We will definitely rent again for either stays or events.

Megan had the cabin decorated for Valentines Day, it was an unexpected touch. The cabin is very nice, secluded and beautiful scenery all around. I highly recommend it if you like nature.
