This luxury property listing is an upscale way to spend a vacation in Maine. Set on the coast of Corea, Maine, The Haguelnn House is perfect for a relaxing stay for family and friends. Sleeping 12 people, you can be sure there is space for everyone. Boasting ocean views, a large deck overlooking the coast, and sunlight filled open living space, you will feel right at home at this property.

As a family-based listing, we hope that you get the opportunity to experience all that Maine has to offer. You and your family can spend the days beach combing and watching the wildlife and the ocean life along the rocks of the property. Enjoy your morning or your evening listening to the tide come in and the sound of the local fisherman heading off or coming home for the day. Your family and children will have the opportunity to spend your vacation swimming, hiking, biking, and whale watching. Enjoy dinner as a family watching the sun set over the ocean and watch the stars come out as the sky darkens. If you have the opportunity to visit Maine in Spring or Autumn you will fall in love with the crisp air and the colorful foliage. Spring and Fall is a slower time to visit Maine and you can experience why people continue to visit the coast of Maine year after year. Our goal is to offer our renters a home for families to reconnect, relax, and reset no matter what season you find yourselves visiting.

During your stay you will find several small villages a short drive away. The Schoodic Peninsula boasts lots of hiking trails, beach combing, sailing, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. With small shops and local dining, you will find lots to do on your visit to Maine.
Alternatively, you may choose to stay in the town of Corea and dine out along the water or bring back lobsters for the whole family from the Lobster Co-op. No matter what your interests are, The Haguelnn House has everything Coastal Maine has to offer.

The property was perfect for our family get together. Plenty of space for 11 people to spread out and the views from the deck were amazing. We loved the location, close enough to Acadia but away from the crowds. Our family all agreed we would love to come again and hope to in the future.

This home was beautiful! There were tons of space, plenty of rooms and beds for the entire family. This home was super clean, cozy, games to play, books to read, and an outstanding view. I would highly recommend this home for a stay away from home!

Coffee on the deck in the morning, cocktails on the deck watching the sunset... with sights of porpoises, seals, bald eagles, herons and flickers in between. The house was everything we hoped it would be. We celebrated two 90th birthdays, and the home works well for those with mobility issues. We cooked a lot; the kitchen is quite functional and well-stocked (we added an oyster knife to the inventory), and the grill was near-new. On the practical front: The two living areas are at opposite ends of the house, which makes it nice if someone wants to read in one while crazy kids cause a ruckus in another. And one comment from another review we heeded - it's very bright early in the am, so sleeping masks are recommended.

Fantastic location

We were pleasantly surprised by the remoteness of this location! It was a beautiful and educational view everyday! Loved the sunsets, view of the mountains and getting acquainted with the surrounding towns! I was raised inā€Down Eastā€ NC and enjoyed the similarities! Acadia is a beautiful NP!

Our stay was perfection! The property is gorgeous and well stocked. We were all relaxed and enjoyed our time there. It gets very bright in the morning as there are no window coverings, but wouldnā€™t want to cover up that view!

Breathtaking setting

Excellent base for Acadia equestrian activities

The apartment is beautifully decorated with brand new kitchen, bathrooms, and furniture. Three of us were there for a week to do carriage driving in the park. The Nest is 5 minutes from where we stabled our horses.

Perfect getaway

The house was beautifully set up for a lovely stay with our family. We had plans to visit some of the many preserve walks that are conveniently located nearby, however the house, beach and location itself was so charming we decided to stay in and enjoy it instead. The views each morning and night was especially breathtaking. We enjoyed seeing seals in the cove and hardworking lobstermen at work, right from the house and deck. The beach was a favorite spot to collect precious stones, and the deck to enjoy sunsets.

This is a wonderful place!

This house is amazing and so close to the water! Our week here was foggy and a little rainy most days but we still enjoyed the quiet beauty, watching the waves and spending time together. The house is well decorated and very comfortable and inviting with plenty of room for all of us. Corea is a quaint little town; we enjoyed the atmosphere. All in all a great visit.

Amazing Stay

We went with a group of friends to celebrate a milestone. House has amazing views, plenty of space to sleep, great kitchen and dining area, bbq, etc. We explored the area around the house along the coast which was gorgeous as well. We enjoyed the sunsets and stargazing and all the beautiful rocks and rock formations. One note is that there are no shades anywhere so bring a sleep mask if thatā€™s an issue for you. But we loved waking up to the beautiful view.

Lucky to Be Here During Hurricane Lee

Hurricane Lee added to the magic of staying at this magnificent property. We were a party of nine adults - 4 brothers and spouses on a 9 day sibling trip to explore Maine's coast. Ashley, Debbie and Matt could not have been more concerned about our welfare during the storm. They provided extra supplies and checked on us throughout our stay. The floor to ceiling windows allowed us to witness incredible surf the day of the storm. We could not have had more perfect accommodations for our 4 night stay. Thank you Debbie, Matt and Ashley for our memorable visit at this wonderful property.

Majestic views!

This home is truly beautiful and the view is absolutely breathtaking! Clean, organized, well maintained and decorated. We watched the sunset from the large deck every night and woke up to the stunning ocean views each morning. With floor to ceiling windows, you see everything! We slept with the sliding glass door open and the sounds of crashing waves lulled us to sleep each night. We watched the lobster fishermen pull their traps, as well as seals and many different types of birds. The house comes equipped with everything you need for a great stay!

Great Family Stay

Beautiful house with stunning view. It was well stocked. The kitchen had nice supplies and worked well. We enjoyed the sauna, the back porch, the large grill, the deck, all of the puzzles, comfortable beds, extra blankets, exploring the rock beach, sitting on the deck chairs and games at the house. It was decorated beautifully and very peaceful. Room for improvement with the bunk beds as they were not sturdy and a safety concern. Ants in the upstairs and activity room area were a problem. Owner said they would take care of this though for future renters. There were ant traps out making us think it was a known problem but she said they would address this. We lucked out with cool weather so having no AC wasnā€™t a problem at all but it should maybe be more clear for future renters that there is no AC and no fans. We really loved visiting Acadia, Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor, Momoā€™s cheesecake business and Joeā€™s oysters. It was an hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor but we didnā€™t mind ,we had a wonderful vacation here.
