Quality Time Together! Log Cabin Sleeps 28 Kids Love It!

Kids love it! This secluded mountain lodge lets your group enjoy fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaks, and relaxation - all without leaving the property! You'll be close to white water rafting, rock climbing, and skiing in winter, but once you settle into this 80-acre estate, you won't want to leave.

Maple Fork Lodge has beds for up to twenty-six people, with floor space for the kids! A spacious kitchen and dining area, tastefully decorated great room, ample entertainment room with sixty-inch HD television, High-speed wireless internet throughout the home, a business center and library, and best of all, several ponds, the largest of which is just over an acre - all stocked with fish! The kids will love splashing into the pond from our 18-foot rope swing and paddling around in the provided flat-top kayaks. We will welcome up to two pets per reservation.

With lots of cozy nooks for reading or face-to-face meetings, this property is perfect for corporate or church retreats, girl's getaway weekends, family reunions, scouting events or just a vacation spot for large families. Whatever your reason for visiting our little corner of 'Almost Heaven,' you'll definitely want to come back again next year!

*Please be aware that this lodge, as any true lodge, has several large pieces of taxidermy.

The kitchen had everything that you could ever need. Linens were provided and everything was fully stocked. The response from the Manager and the Owners was amazing. They were attentive to every need we had before and during the stay. This is a peaceful place and I would highly recommend. You can swim, fish, and relax. The porches are amazing.

Your property is absolutely amazing. It was perfect for our family reunion. We enjoyed all your amenities. Our grandchildren and adult kids loved the lake with the swing. The kitchen was a good size for our evening gathers. And plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We may come back again. Lots to do all around as well. Thanks again.

Amazing stay for large family!

20 family members traveled to West Virginia for a celebration of life, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. This cabin was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed- and there were 20 of us! Ample parking, seating, lounge space, and the best backyard views you can imagine.

Great space for our large family

My 27-member family stayed here and we loved it. The kids especially loved the large outdoor playground and the loft bedroom so that they could all sleep together. The property manager and owner were both very quick to respond to any needs.

Awesome Family Weekend

Beautiful retreat in Mt Hope...plenty of activities at he cabin and around. Minutes from the new river gorge and the host were very responsive and great to provide anything we needed. Highly recommend.

Rafting Trip

We booked this cabin to accommodate a large rafting trip and it was perfect. We had plenty of space for everyone was a great in between point for ACE and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

23rd year of vacationing together! Spacious cabin, clean, fun play set for the kids. Enjoyed the ponds, caught a few blue gill and bass. Kayaked, jumped off the rope swing, made s’mores around the fire pit. Nice flat lawn to set up yard games we brought with us. Lots of seating on the front porch and back deck. Watched movies and utilized the exercise equipment. Close to Beckley that has grocery shopping. Recommend the Coal mine museum in Beckley and Tamarack art place. Drive up to the New River Gorge and had pepperoni rolls at Swiftwater general store. Highly recommend.

Father & Son Rafting Trip

The home was very accommodating for our group of 11 Dads & 11 Sons for a whitewater rafting trip. We were able to spread out, cook great dinners, have fun playing backyard football and swimming in the pond.

Perfect setting

This proved to be a perfect setting for our large church youth group high adventure. With ample sleeping space, campfire for fireside chats, swimming/rope swing into the small lake, fishing and kayaking, this was a hit with the boys.

Beautiful Spacious Cabin!

We bring a big group to stay every year. It is always pristine with plenty of space for us. We have lots of fun running around the grounds and by the ponds. It is perfect for larger groups. We will be back!

Classic Country Cabin

Family Christmas/New Years Celebration. This Cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our big family of 18. Beautiful spacious and absolutely gorgeous views. If this place had a hot tub it would be perfect but otherwise it was amazing. Can’t say enough about it and the host. Great cabin!!!

Thanksgiving 2020

With all the things going on our world this year, these few days in Mt. Hope was exactly what our family needed. We enjoyed time together, hiked, had a bonfire in the evening and had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving. Marley was the sweetest non-human in the house. Thank you for this time away from home and making it great.

Family Friends-30th Annual camping trip.

Great for large group. Tons of space but challenging to work out the sleeping arrangements. The downstairs bedrooms were not as desirable. But then again, we ARE supposed to be camping! Lol! All in all a wonderful weekend trip with enough room to accommodate our growing families.

Big group, good time

More space and supplies than I've ever had before. It's the small things, like toilet paper, small baggies, etc that make your stay better. Easy check in and easy leaving requests. I had a big group and it worked great. Definitely recommend.

Great stay!

Our group of 21 had a great stay at this property. The house closely matched the description on the site and no complaints on the condition. Many in our group enjoyed playing with Marley, a very friendly dog on the property. Large front and back yard with picnic table, good enough for us for a game of touch football. Promptly received the security deposit back in couple of days after check-out. I recommend this house without any reservations.
