Host was very responsive and flexible about our check-in and checkout. It’s in a quiet cove of a peaceful lake, in a quiet community, so very relaxing. We enjoyed the screened in porch, and the use of the kayaks and canoe.

Lovely place!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. It was very clean and it had everything we needed and more! We loved spending some time in the Muskoka room playing games and watching the fireflies at night. The hosts were helpful and attentive. We would love to return one day.

We loved everything about this property. The cottage was clean and very cozy, the big deck was great for a bbq and hanging out, the bunkie house was great for the kids, the covered gazebos was a great extra space and the lake front was beautiful. The hosts were great and had excellent communication.We will definitely be back next summer and cant wait to enjoy this property during warmer weather!

11/10 stay! This was our first time booking with Vrbo and it did not disappoint! Such a phenomenal accommodation and the host was very responsive and generous with our check out time … we would absolutely come back! Relaxing time out on the lake & our dogs had just as much fun as we did :)

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The setting was absolutely beautiful — peaceful surroundings and clean, clear water made it the perfect escape. Whether you're looking to unwind or enjoy the outdoors, this spot offers a great balance of comfort and nature. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time. The property is perfect for dogs and small children, as it has a very gentle slope to the water. The cottage was clean, and newly renovated. This cottage has everything, including a dishwasher, and air conditioning.

We are so happy to have found this gem. Our family have rented other cottages on Salmon Trout before but this is our favorite by far! Great communication with owners, well kept cottage and all amenities you can think of. The fishing was awesome and the lake was great to swim in. Our daughter had a blast! We've already booked for next year!

We love this place, the screened in cabin is so nice, the bunkie for the teenagers is perfect. The cottage is well equipped and a nice drive to Bancroft ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful Getaway - Will Stay Again!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The outdoor spaces are amazing with the screened in area and the cottage is clean, cozy and welcoming. Great amenities and even with some rainy days we still had fun! The homeowners were friendly and easy to reach, quick to respond and also very welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we’re already booking our next stay!

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing stay! Beautiful docks with lots of sun! Great fire pit! Best screened in sun room we’ve ever seen! Hosts were super helpful :) definitely want to go back!

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay , the cottage was spotless with many ameneties. The grounds were well kept and spacious. The use of the different watercraft to be active was great as well as the numerous seating areas for relaxation. The screened in room was comfortable for both day and evening. A great property.

Michelle and Darryl's cottage was so lovely. All communication was fast, informative and kind. The cottage itself felt nicely updated, cozy and comfortable. Loved the big deck, and the screened-in porch. Lovely dock for sitting or launching kayaks from. Kitchen well-equipped, comfortable beds and nice shower.

Great place

A lovely cottage. The screened porch was a great space, since we were there during the early spring. We enjoyed the kayaking, some swimming (on the warmer days) and sitting on the docks. Heard and saw loons too. Very dog friendly!!

Stayed here with my aging Mom and Dad Sunday-Friday in mid-August. This property was everything it claimed to be at a very high level, beyond our expectations. Very civilized but with the feeling of being in a quiet forested setting with trees providing privacy on both sides of the property and a spectacular White Pine towering over the cottage. Buildings and grounds were immaculate and everthing was thoughtfully laid-out. Georgeous deck with a beautiful view where you can sit in your choice of shade or sun any time of day, The screened-in shelter provided lots of comfy places to sit with no fear of biting insects. Outside there were a few mosquitoes around but they hardly bothered us. The beautifully manicured lawn was nice in bare feet and easy for Dad to navigate with his walker. Would have been OK for 6 if at least 2 were youngsters that wouldn't mind sleeping in the bunkie. The setting on the quiet little bay was beautiful and the entire lake was very quiet the whole time we were there, great for paddling around in the fantastic Kayaks provided. The lake is just the right size - big enough to explore but narrow enough to be very paddler-friendly. Groups of cottages here and there but lots of wild forested shoreline as well. We saw Loons and Kingfishers dayly. Decent-sized bass are pretty easy to come by for experienced fishers. Close to Hastings Heritage Trail for biking and close enough for half-day trips into Algonquin. Check out nearby Cafe B.C. for a meal or two!

A Piece of Heaven

So peaceful, the screened in porch was a god send, since we did get some heavy rains. How ever, after the rain storms the firebrand was lefted and we were able to have a bonfire. Wonderful hosts, perfect location for us. Can’t wait to return ❤️

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed an amazing four nights! We couldn’t have asked for more - the cottage was cozy and charming, the waterfront was beautiful and the location was perfect. The screened in porch was the ideal spot to hang out and relax, both when some rainy weather moved in and during evenings. Michelle is a very responsive and helpful host. Thanks so much for a memorable stay!

Perfect cottage getaway

We stayed at Darrell and Michelle's cottage with our son (3.5yrs) and our dog, and had a wonderful time. The selection of boats and water toys was such an excellent feature - we canoed and swam every day. The cottage is very comfortable and clean, with everything you'd need. Hoping to be able to come back soon!
