THE PROPERTY: Nancy & Carl invite you to share their love of the island in their enchanted 3-bedroom home. Live like a local in this unique Key West property. Designed for relaxation and indoor-outdoor living, this home exudes local architecture, art, and joie de vivre. From its welcoming front porch to its private back yard, you will know from the start, that you are in a special place.

The living room is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating for family and friends. From here you can open the expansive French doors and enjoy the patio area or take a dip in the cocktail pool. The kitchen is nearby and equipped with a gas range, stainless steel refrigerator, granite island and grey and white custom cabinets. You will find all that you need to entertain family and friends. If you are not dining at a local restaurant, you can opt for a meal at the handsome dining room table or dine al fresco, just outside the kitchen door; the choice is yours. A convenient half bath with stone vessel sink, washer and dryer and a folding counter, round out the first floor. The beautiful staircase at the front of the home will lead you to the bedrooms. If you are looking for the epitome of Key West, look no further than Southard Comfort!

BED CONFIGURATION: All three bedrooms are located on the second floor, have vaulted ceilings and are characteristically Key West. The primary bedroom with king bed includes a TV, dresser, ceiling fan, closet, and skylight as well as an ensuite bath with tiled shower and vessel sink. The second bedroom has a queen bed, nightstands, a dresser, closet, TV, and plenty of natural light. The third bedroom is also bright and includes a queen bed, dresser, closet, and TV. A shared Jack and Jill bath with access from the second and third bedrooms is adorned with louvered pocket doors, a tiled, walk-in glass shower as well as two separate vanities with granite countertops.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: The cocktail pool with figurine water feature is located right off the living room to provide you with easy indoor-outdoor living. The pool is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking. Rinse off in the outdoor shower after a dip in the pool or a day at the beach. Enjoy outdoor dining on the patio area with umbrella table and chairs and gas grill.

PARKING: This home comes with your own private driveway with space to park one vehicle-a real Key West treat!

LOCATION: Old Town, North of Truman Ave, just 4 blocks to the Historic Seaport area and 6 blocks to the excitement of Duval Street.

PETS: This home is NOT pet-friendly. (If you have pets, please browse through our many homes that are pet-friendly).
SMOKING: This is a non-smoking home and property.

A great place for a family to gather,

Plenty of space in the home to be together but not crammed in. Key West offered something for everyone to enjoy as well. We would definitely visit here and stay in this home again.

My family and I came to Key Eest for my mom’s 60th birthday. We had 6 guests and felt the house had plenty of space but was still cozy. Felt like we were at home, not like we were staying in a stuffy rental. The decor is really neat. The neighborhood was great, so close to anything we needed but far enough away from too much noise. Pool area was great. Heated to the perfect temperature, clean, and private. There was enough parking for a car and golf cart which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!

The house is charming, with more than enough room for 6 adults. The pool was beautiful and actually bigger than I expected. Again, plenty of room for us.The finely appointed kitchen was perfect for making meals, and tastefully decorated. We would absolutely stay here again, and hopefully will soon. The folks at HKWVR were able to hold our luggage upon arrival and departure, offering beverages and helping with other plans. They were great.

Location is fine, a bit of a walk to Duval but with bikes and Ubers and golf carts getting around is easy. And walking is not bad either. Our whole experience was wonderful and we thank HKWVR and Carl for their prompt response when we needed our pool heat turned up bit.Beautiful home thank you again for making our vacation great.

Beds are comfortable and you’re in a nice quiet part of Old Town. You’ll have shade throughout the day around the pool (important in Key West) and the outdoor shower is great. Additionally, HKWVR and Carl bent over backwards to ensure our stay was perfect. Definitely would stay there again!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home as beautiful as we loved the historic aspects of it. The property was very clean. The three bedrooms were spacious enough for us. We enjoyed the back patio and pool everyday. It was close enough to ride the golf cart/bike to Duval. The property manager was so helpful a friendly when we checked in and out of the rental.

The team at Historic Key West Vacation Rentals communicate extremely well and ensured our every need was fully met. It couldn’t have been a better experience with them and they truly made this trip top notch for our group, we’ll definitely be back!

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The house was very comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.The pool and fountain were absolute highlights—such a peaceful oasis to cool off after a day of exploring. Another big plus was having a washer and dryer, especially for a week-long stay! The house was also fully equipped with everything needed to cook at our leisure, which made it feel like a true home away from home.The location couldn’t have been better—walkable to tons of great restaurants, bars, and stores, making it easy to experience the best of Key West without needing a car.One of the most memorable moments for me was spotting the framed Yankees poster upstairs from the last game at the old stadium. That’s where my husband and I got engaged, and seeing it here brought a huge smile to my face!We also had the pleasure of bringing our friends Jim and Patty along—Jim had never been on a plane before, and what a perfect place for his first flight! This trip was full of unforgettable memories, and we are so grateful for this wonderful home.

Pleasant stay in Key West

We had brought our own swim toys and was glad that we did. Family get away

Son and his family invited parents to join them for 5 days in Key West for a wonderful fun filled time. The house we stayed in was perfect for us. Three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a pool which the girls (7 and 9) swam in EVERY day. We will be back for sure!

Perfect stay in key west

So much love is put into the restoration and maintenance of this home. 3 couples stayed for 5 nights. Two couples who travel well together didn’t mind the close quarters upstairs in the jack n Jill bathroom. We also had a quarter bathroom in the laundry room to use & the men loved the outdoor urinal. The pool was perfect for late night swims & morning dips with a cup of coffee. Large parking spot for our car and a back gated area for our bikes. The kitchen has everything we needed. The management organized everything perfectly for us. Cheers to house keeping because this house was the cleanest home I have ever rented. This home brought us so much joy, even a few friends who stopped by to say hi were so in love with it. The location was amazing, 5-20 minute bike ride to everything in the heart of key west, far enough to enjoy the quiet mornings.

Three couples visiting Key West for four nights

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house suited the needs of a four night trip to Key West by three couples that travel well together. Well maintained, pretty and traditional Key West property, complete with nearby crowing roosters in the morning. About eight blocks from Duval Street. We found it okay to walk TO Duval Street in the afternoon but quite a slog to walk BACK from Duval Street late at night after dinner and drinks. Took an Uber. Biggest heads-up about this house is the bathroom arrangement. The descriptions contradict...3 baths stated in one place and 2.5 baths stated in another place. In reality, there is only one full private bathroom in the MBR, a second full private bathroom that is between the other two bedrooms in a "Jack and Jill" arrangement. The third "bathroom" consists of a toilet and lavatory in the laundry room and a shower outside by the pool. A bit misleading but technically 3 bathrooms all together! If you travel well together...not an issue. If you require more privacy...could be a problem...particularly if there are snorers that rattle the louvered doors throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms. Anyway, nice place and good service. We'd return.
