Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Jim Reindel
My family and I live in Littleton, Colorado, and we’ve been VRBO guests ourselves for more than 20 years. For a long time we dreamed about having a place of our own where families could gather, explore, and make great memories together.
For more than a decade we’ve been long-term landlords in the Denver area, focusing on creating comfortable, thoughtfully designed spaces for our tenants. The Hideaway is our first vacation property, and we’ve had a blast designing it as a place where both our family—and yours—can experience unforgettable Colorado adventures.
Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
We chose the Salida area because it truly checks every box for a Colorado adventure getaway. The Arkansas River valley offers world-class rafting, hiking, biking, skiing, hot springs, fishing, and endless mountain exploration—all within easy reach.
We ultimately chose Howard and this property for its peaceful beauty, wide-open views, and sense of history. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet it’s just minutes from the incredible recreation and charm of the Arkansas River basin.
O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
The Hideaway offers a rare combination of privacy, scenery, and history. The property sits in a quiet mountain setting with breathtaking views in every direction and a sense of peaceful seclusion that’s hard to find.
What makes it especially unique is its connection to Colorado’s past. The land contains remnants of the early-1900s mining town of Calcite, once the center of limestone mining in the area. That bit of history adds a special character you won’t find at most vacation homes.
