2 bed/2 bath luxury villa at St James's Club, Antigua

The villa is part of the exclusive resort of the St James's Club. Recently refurbished it sleeps 4 in two large bedrooms. Two bathrooms with walk-in showers. It is ideally suited to adults and older children. There is a living room/diner, kitchen and large terrace overlooking the sea. WIFI, TV, DVD, N'Espresso machine, air con and safe. You have free access to the resort facilities of a fitness center, non-motorized water sports (windsurfers, hobie cats, kayaks) games room, beach volleyball, tennis courts, kids club, swimming pools (including reef deck) and two white sand beaches. There are movie nights and daily activities (Pilates, morning hike) arranged by the hotel, and a fantastic new spa. You can also take a trip around the Island or a more local Sunset Cruise on the hotel's own Catamaran, bookable and payable locally. Car hire is available on site and there is also free WiFi in the hotel lobby. The hotel offers four restaurants which can be used on a meal by meal basis or as part of an All-Inclusive plan (bookable at reception). There are cocktail bars and live music in the evenings. You also have access to Piccolo Mondo restaurant for dinner and there are many excellent nearby restaurants in English Harbour. The villa is about 30 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes to Shirley Heights and its famous sunset parties. Historic English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard are also a short drive away as is Falmouth Harbour full of super yachts.

There is currently a resort charge of US$24.00 per night per villa added to your bill on departure for extra COVID resort cleaning. There is also a "Tourism Accommodation Levy" (TAL) of US$5.00 per night per person added to your bill at the resort.

Perfect Villa

St James Club Villa

A beautiful villa in a lovely resort. I was in communication with the villa owner from the very first day I booked and she was so very helpful in her guidance and in ensuring everything about our stay was just perfect. The staff in the resort were just great. Thank you all so much.

Fantastic stay

We had a wonderful week at the Villa. It is spacious, comfortable and has a great location close to the beach and other amenities. Lovely views of the bay from the large balcony. Jayne is a fabulous host, extremely responsive. Highly recommend a stay here!

Great space

Nice quiet resort, mostly families and seniors. Home is 3 levels with nice outdoor spaces. Maids did not do a great job cleaning after prior guests departed and we had to do some cleaning but not host’s fault.

Perfect location

A beautifully appointed villa in a top location. We had a fabulous holiday over New Year. A resort that suites all ages. Communication with the owner was seamless and we enjoyed the benefits of the All inclusive package.

St.James Resort and Villa

We had 12 wonderful day in Jayne's vill at Momora Bay!! From the first email it was a pleasure to plan and book the property. We had our questions answered and expectations set accordinly. The villa was perfect for the two couples. The upper deck was a great location to start and end the days! Access to the amenities at the resort made this the ideal choice for us. The location within the resort was fantastic. Very central. Its a safe bet to say we will be back. Thanks Jayne. Antigua is wonderful.

Beautiful villa and resort

Had a lovely time in this beautiful villa. It is close to all the amenities and the gorgeous beach, but you can also get a buggy around the resort if needed. Loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the wildlife in the evening. Jayne was really helpful providing information before and during our stay. The resort has great facilities and food. We grabbed a cab to Shirley heights and also did the extreme boat tour around the island booked through the hotel , which was excellent. My advice would be bring cash. Some of the cabs on sight have card machines but you often have to pay cash and nothing in Antigua is cheap. There is no ATM on site, you can exchange money at the hotel but the rates are not great.

Lovely peaceful week stay at Mamora Bay Villa

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa at St James Bay Club Mamora Bay. Really lovely spot within the villa properties of the club, close to all emenities ( beaches, pools, tennis and fitness club). Beds were comfortable, kitchen could have had more items provided(dish soap). The best part of the villa is it's large deck with table and chairs you can eat out at, and lounge chairs. Ocean side of the beach was battling seaweed though the maintenance team was working on it to get it all cleaned up. May have been a seasonal thing we are not sure. The bay side beach was very peaceful, beautifully kept, lots of beach chairs within the palms, close to all the water and beach activities available and being that it is a bay it was a bit on the murky side. Great shallow calm water for young children. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did have an issue with the sliding screen doors, a clogged drain in one of the showers which owner did try to get addressed while we were there though no staff did come to fix these things. Also in terms of cleaning service check with owner on how to arrange this during your week stay. Villa Internet was slow. Resort internet was better. The mosquitoes were out in the evenings in April so bring bug spray. Loved the proximity to English Harbour, went to Shirley Heights, and had some lovely dinners in English Harbour and fun seeing Galleon, Half Moon Bay & Pigeon beaches. Thanks Jayne for sharing your villa with us!

Fabulous Holiday

A fabulous villa in a lovely resort. 10mins from English Harbour by car where there are lots of options to eat. The beach was perfect, villa was a great size and really clean and spacious. Best of both worlds having the facilities of St James Club and the independence of your own villa and space. The owner has been brilliant. Recommending places to go, contact details for taxi drivers and really quick on getting back to us. Easy to hire a car from the resort. We had friends rowing the Atlantic and coming in to English Harbour so this was a great base. We also Had a great day at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium for the cricket. Couldn’t fault the whole holiday.

A great accommodation in a great location

Our family of four (two parents and two boys under 11) came to spend a few weeks over the Xmas/New Year period. We had chosen this rental because it offered, in our views, the best of both worlds: the greater peace of mind (during the pandemic) of self catering, while having access to the facilities of a well run complex and the option to go to the on site restaurants if and when we wished to. The villa is very well appointed and well kept (the club’s maintenance team is available to sort out any problems that may arise), and the club itself is well run and felt at all time both safe and clean. We enjoyed our time so much that, when a lockdown was announced back at home while we were still there, we decided to extend our stay by a few weeks! Jayne, the owner, was always very quick to respond to any queries and to sort out possible issues, offered plenty of tips and suggestions to help us enjoy our stay, and has been a pleasure to deal with. We can strongly recommend both property and owner, and we hope to be able to come back soon.

Once more a perfect vacation

This was our 7th stay at St.James's, but our first stay in this villa. We found everything in accordance with the presentation on VRBO. It was well equipped, clean, and everything worked. One of the highlights for us coming from a cold country was having most of our meals outside on the terrace. Dealing with the owner was a real pleasure. If we have another visit to St.James's will it will be in this villa.

Lovely place to call home for a week!

The pictures of the villa and of St James do not do it justice. Antigua is amazing! Jayne was wonderful to communicate with. She was prompt answering questions and had everything taken care of before we knew we needed it.

A great first carribean experience

After a delayed start to our holiday due to Gatwick closures, we were definitely in need of some relaxation! This holiday delivered this perfectly. We had never stayed in a resort before as we don't like traditional hotels. This was the best of both worlds as we had all the facilities on our doorstep, but had the privacy of a villa. We found the villa perfect and particularly enjoyed the comfy beds! We found all the St James staff very friendly and decided to go all inclusive to make it easier. We found all the food to be of a very good quality and its was lovely to be able to have guilt-free cocktails on the beach! We had one day out on the Calypso Cat which was well worth it too. We hope to repeat this lovely holiday in the not too distant future. Thank you Jayne for renting out your lovely property!

Relaxing in luxury

This villa was perfect for our needs. Well furnished with all the amenities one could want. The beds were comfortable and everything was just perfectly appointed upon our arrival. It is well situated and close to all beaches and services. What we loved most was sitting on the deck for evening cocktails. It was a bonus to have St. James Club facilities available, though we just as much enjoyed meals over in English Harbour. Jayne was readily responsive to our requests and information needs. This is a villa that should be on everyone's list. It ranks 5 out of 5. Many thanks Jayne.

Best of both worlds

We have stayed at many VRBO homes and villas in the Caribbean and Florida. This was the first villa which was within a resort. We found the atmosphere of the St James Club outstanding. Jayne's villa is one of the nicest we have rented. Beds comfortable as was the indoor and outdoor furniture. Baths and kitchen well appointed and everything worked. Many afternoons we left the beach and retreated to the patio and the comfortable chaise lounge chairs. And if you're an Nespresso fan as we are, Jayne's Nespresso maker is a nice touch. We will return!

Paradise

This is our second stay here and we love it so much that we stayed for a month this time! Jayne's villa is very special and offers the perfect place to settle in and relax, or use as a home basis while you explore the island. With wonderful villa upgrades like recessed lighting and extra comfortable beds, you too will never want to leave.

Great villas

Our family of 11 visited St. James Club for a wonderful family vacation. One daughter, husband and 2 granddaughters occupied this villa, perfect arrangement for them. It is well positioned, nicely decorated and quite comfortable. Jayne is easy to work with on the rental details and quite prompt in answering all queries. Air condition unit in living room went out during the week. Club was notified, sent someone down and said it was fixed. It wasn't so I sent of an email to Jayne who responded immediately contacting the right person at club. The problem was fixed the next morning. We really appreciated how very prompt she was with that little problem. I can highly recommend Jayne's villa. My daughter will write a more detailed review with details of the many amenities this villa offers. I do know they loved!

Villa Perfection - Luxury and A+ Location

We and our extended family have been coming to Antigua for over thirty years now, and Jayne's villa is one of the nicest villas we have ever stayed in. It is perfectly situated at the St. James Club central to all the wonderful club amenities yet private because there are no villas attached to either side of it. When you sit on the expansive balcony, with the incredible water views, it is total bliss and relaxation. The furnishings in the villa are also amazing: the mattresses are like sleeping on a cloud, the bathrooms are gorgeous and spacious , the additional recessed lighting gives the villa a more homelike feel, and the kitchen is outfitted to the max...the washer/dryer unit being the icing on the cake. The only downside to the villa is that because it is so special it makes leaving that much harder!!!

Excellent Villa - highly recommend

We have stayed at St James Club a number of times, so we are very familiar with the fabulous facilities and dining options on offer in the resort. We were absolutely delighted with the quality of this Villa which felt like a real home from home. It was well furnished with comfortable beds and highly quality bathroom fittings. The kitchen was well equipped and both the washing machine and Nespresso machine were a real bonus. There was plenty of space to accommodate 2 Adults and 2 Teenagers. Jayne, the owner, was very helpful.

Fantastic rental in great location

Our family spent a week at this villa and it was perfect. Seriously. Can't recommend it highly enough. We have rented apartments in St Martin, Guadeloupe and others and this was definitely the nicest one. It has a great layout, beautiful view and is very well appointed. Plus, you have the benefit of accessing the facilities at the St James Club, which are excellent (kayaks, sailboats, gym, pools etc.). We found the restaurants at the St James Club to be really mediocre (the best is the little place on the beach that serves burgers etc. at lunch.) but we like to cook so we stocked up on groceries. We rented a car and travelled around to a new beach/attraction on the island every day, went out for lunch and happily prepared a bunch of dinners back at the villa - the kitchen is well equipped. (Tip: go to Half Moon Bay and Love Beach - and, if you have kids, visit the Donkey Sanctuary)

Great Vacation

We just came back from a 7 nights family vacation at this beautiful villa. Everything was as we saw on the web site: the villa itself, very clean and beautiful view from the balcony. It has a lot of commodities in the kitchen, although some little things were missing, like a bottle opener (the one in the villa was not working well) and a BBQ grill on the balcony, which are present in almost every villa. But those were very small problems!!! The beds were very comfortable, we had one king bed in one room and 2 twin beds in the second room. The balcony is huge, with a nice dining table, in fact we ate there every night ! The resort itself is great also, our children had a blast with all the activities on the resort (we will have to return since we did not have time to do everything we had planned on doing!!) There is no dishwasher in the kitchen but that did not bother us. There is a washer/dryer though. Overall this was a wonderful vacation and we would return for certain!!! Thank you to the owners for sharing this little piece of paradise !!!
