Large home was comfortable and accessible to everything. So close to Hart Ranch where a number of our family reunion were staying, yet peaceful and rejuvenating for our weeklong stay. Nice and private retreat for long walks and undisturbed countryside. We felt safe and away. Thank you.

This place was what we needed: a home base for seeing a lot of local attractions, where we were free to cook as many meals as we wanted and could get away when over-stimulated. It wasn’t as peaceful, being a lot closer to the highway than we expected - lots of traffic noise all day. It had strange configurations between bedrooms and bathrooms (both bathrooms accessible from a bedroom & hallway with the only lock for bedroom entrances being on the bedroom side). Porch was on non-highway side and pretty enjoyable. There were bats under it, which was cool on one hand, but not on the other…The host was a little tough to get to respond to requests, but he did eventually bring us more garbage bags and empty garbage receptacle that still had trash from the previous guests. If we went again, I would probably explore other options, but if nothing better, I’d stay there again.

Thank you for the feedback. We are sorry that aspects of our property were not what you preferred. We always strive to be as responsive as possible to requests. As with all of our guests, Kirk stopped by in person a couple of times to see if there was anything he could provide, but he wasn’t able to catch you while you were around. Trash bags should always be well stocked at the house before check-in. We’ll work with our cleaning partner to ensure this is happening.

Amazing stay in Rapid City

We had an amazing stay at this home. Located in the rolling hills, a rural feel but close to both the city and all of the areas attractions. The property was very clean and we really appreciated the open space and view of horses and other wildlife while we were relaxing at the house.

This property was ideally located close to town and easy distances to attractions. House was super clean, and had all the necessary amenities for a great stay.The house is next to a major road, so some street noise, but not with the windows closed.

Relaxing stay in Rapid City

This was a wonderful home to use while in the Rapid City area. Convenient to all of the national parks and monuments as well as Ellsworth AFB and Rapid City. The home was clean and morning coffee on the deck watching the rabbits, birds, and horses was an amazing way to start our busy days. I would highly recommend this place to families- a nice two story home with a yard so everyone can spread out and relax after a long day of sight seeing.

Great location

This was a great location to stay at to visit Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and all of the amazing things around. The house was great and offered plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Spaces for everyone to spread out and enjoy their time.

Nice cabin for Black Hills vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The owner was very helpful when we ran low on TP, and everything worked well inside. It was nice to have a place to grill and cook food after a long day of black hills tourism. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Very nice older home. It has been updated in places like the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner met us at check in and was available if needed, he lives up in the next house. Be warned, bring mosquito repellent, there is a small pond close by(house and land is part of a ranch). We slept 7 comfortably.

Vacation stay

Very clean and comfortable for our family to stay . Nice location, could drive and see the black hills attractions and come back and rest and make some of our own meals. Close enough to town but still felt the rural benefits! Would highly recommend this home! Property manager was very accommoding and close by if we needed anything.

Nice place.

The layout of the house was just what we were looking for. The property was beautiful with wildlife just outside. If you like birdwatching this place is wonderful for that right from the kitchen table! It was conveniently located for the things we wanted to see and do.

We had a good experience at this cute ranch home. You can tell they’ve put effort into updating the home to make it comfortable. There was plenty of parking, it was quiet even though it’s close to the highway, and clean. Check in and check out was very easy too. I recommend staying here!

Pastoral setting outside of Rapid City. Great yard for our to dogs to run. Great deck to sit in at nite to watch/listen to the birds and fabulous plains thunderstorm.

Great house!

Kirk has a beautiful property, the only thing that I PERSONALLY didn’t like was the amount of insects at night😳 also the cleaning was not very good, or maybe they just forgot to vacuum the stairs because we found death moths on the them. But overall great house and confortable!!

From the Guest Contact: "Sandra, we completely understand your frustration with the moths. This year we had a particularly heavy migration of the Miller moths that lasted about two weeks. Your party came in during the tail end of that period. Our cleaning crew would have vacuumed all flooring before your arrival but during that period we noticed moths would again accumulate between cleaning completion and guest arrival. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there was no place within a 100 radius that was moth-free this year."
