WELCOME BACK! We are looking forward to having you stay at our FULLY remodeled home on Sanibel Island. This home has been completely remodeled from top to bottom, even including the beautiful screened in pool area with a brand new paver decking! Although we were all sad about the Hurricane, our home is now more beautiful then ever! We can't wait to have you back on the Island enjoying our newly renovated home with modern finishes!

This lovely 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home in The Dunes of Sanibel backs up to peaceful conservation land, has tropical palm trees surrounding the pool, is located in a beautiful golf-course community, and is just a short bike ride to the bayside beach. Does it get much better than that?? Rainy day? No worries, the open great room with eat-in kitchen island has plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Break out a board game, or watch a movie on the big screen. Pass the coleslaw and wine coolers through the kitchen window to the outdoor sitting area while the chicken barbecues on the grill. Pocketing sliding glass doors in the kitchen and dining room allow you to extend the living space outside. The master suite is on the left side of the home, separate from the guest living spaces on the right. White louvered shutters let natural Sanibel sunlight fill the Master Suite and guest bedrooms. The home's laundry room and 2-car garage has plenty of space for storing golf clubs, bikes, and beach gear. Getting on and off island is a breeze, as the property is just a short drive from Bailey Road on the East end of the island.

This fully remodeled home features a large open kitchen including a kitchen island with barstools for extra seating, a dining room that seats 6, a family room with a large tv and lots of seating. The Outdoor area has a large screened in pool and a covered seating area! There are lounge chairs, tables and lots of space to spend your day relaxing by the pool. The home also has a grilling area for anyone who wants to enjoy the day cooking poolside!

Beautiful clean home in an amazing location! Close to stores, beaches and restaurants. The pool was private and amazing. Comfortable beds with plenty of space & storage. We can't wait to come back!

The host was welcoming and provided information in a timely manner. The home itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for us, as we needed to access the nearby causeway frequently to attend events off island. The backyard was a bit dirty, requiring thorough cleaning of the outdoor table and chairs. We also used the hose to clean the patio to avoid stepping in and tracking a black sticky substance inside the house. Despite this minor setback, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great house and great host. We showed up and had a seamless check-in. The house had most of what we needed and more. Loved the pool and the window to pass things out to the pool area. The AC shut down from blockage- the response was so fast from the host-it was taken care of within an hour before the house got hot. Would definitely stay again!

A wonderful stay

Our family loved our stay in this beautiful home. The home is very comfortable, has a wonderful pool and screened-in patio area, and it is in a quiet neighborhood that is an easy bike ride away from the beach and shopping. The owner was always very responsive to any questions we had. We are so glad we stayed here and hope to return!

A Peaceful Place

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It’s in a great community. That offers an opportunity to golf, play tennis and pickleball, go biking and swimming in the pool. You have to drive to the beach and pay for parking. It was relatively close and we used the beach chairs and the umbrella that came with the house. The house is well decorated and comfortable. We went out to Mud Bugs and Doc Ford restaurants and had a great experience!

Perfect Home For A Great Getaway!

Had a wonderful stay. The house was very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for a great vacation from a well equipped kitchen to bikes, beach chairs and towels. The pool was very relaxing and peaceful surrounded by palm trees and a beautiful tropical setting. The house felt very private while being located in a great community and near many shops and restaurants in Sanibel. Definitely will be going back!

Beautiful home in the Dunes on Sanibel

Great ground floor home! Very clean, all new paint, furniture and appliances. Beautiful beach decor throughout the home. The kitchen is well stocked, restaurants and Sanibel shopping nearby. Especially enjoyed sitting at the pool in the eve and looking at the nature preserve - so relaxing! This home contains everything for a wonderful vacation. The owner responded to our questions and is easy to work with.

Family Fun

My family was unable to spend our Thanksgiving holiday in Sanibel in my condo because it is under reconstruction after Ian. This beautiful home with salt water pool knocked it out of the park in accommodating us. Wonderful space and layout- inside and out, well equipped kitchen, and within comfortable bike distance to all our major favorite spots.

Beautifully Decorated Home in a Nice Neighborhood

The property is beautifully decorated and well-maintained. The pool in the back was great for the kids and adults alike during our extra warm and humid days on Sanibel. The property owners allow you to check-in to the property at 1:00pm! Most places don’t allow you to check-in until 3-4pm. This was nice because we were able to get groceries, unpack, and enjoy a lovely dinner so that first day of your vacation isn’t rushed and wasted on housekeeping tasks. The owners are easy to contact via VRBO and they respond within a timely fashion. Prepare on bringing/purchasing items such as toilet paper, hand soap, and laundry detergent as these items were not present upon arrival. There’s a great little beach area right down the street from the entrance to the development if you prefer low-key as opposed to the larger beaches on the island. You can ride your bike down and not worry about parking a car. The newly reopened Bubble Room restaurant on Captiva Island was wonderful! Delicious food, cocktails, and desserts.

Excellent vacation home in a very convenient location!

Excellent vacation home in a very convenient location. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years in the US and the Caribbean. This one definitely made our top 5. It has a great layout for 2 couples (with room for others if needed). The inside is well furnished and comfortable. But the real gem is the screened in deck and pool area. We spent the vast majority of our time in the house there. The kitchen is also well stocked with all the necessities. The home is in a great and convenient location and is very private. During the day and at night when you are in the pool area it feels like you in your own private resort. On top of all the that the owner(s) are very responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. I would highly recommend this property and would go back in an instant!

Great stay on Sanibel

My family, mom, dad and two adult children spent two weeks in this beautiful home. First I will say when we drive to the Florida panhandle I always carry my kitchen favorites, knives, my big pasta pot, blender, because we love to cook. Flying to Sanibel I didn’t have room so I was a little nervous about how well stocked the kitchen would be. I was not disappointed. The house is well stocked with everything you need. We did eat out some and loved the recommendations that Megan gave us. We loved having the pool and as other reviews state it feels like you are in your own private oasis! We were shocked to drive by the house next door to see people there because we never heard anything. Megan has plenty of beach towels so no need to pack those. We also enjoyed using the beach umbrella. Megan was quick to answer any questions we had. We all four said we highly recommend this property!

We Enjoyed our Vacation Property Overall

House was nice, Loved the Louver Window coverings and Bathroom Privacy Doors, Very Nice Touch and Different. (Hope you don't mind took pictures of the Idea.) Pool Area very nice. Not sure why the Grill was located where it was but very inconvenient. The house inside was clean but the Garage Stunk of a Strong Mold and Mildew Odor. The Pots and Pans had to be washed before we could them, Filthy! A few more Storage Containers for Leftover Meal use would be nice. We were fortunate to have an Ironing Board, just NO Iron, we went to Walmart and bought one! Had to wash Towels and Wash Cloths there were not enough for the 10 days we were there. The house could use a TV in each Bedroom and the Pool Area. This morning as we were getting cleaned up to leave, We found a Roach in the Master Bathroom, I'm glad we found it today when leaving and not the First Day. You may want to fumigate the place. Overall, Very Nice Place, You Just need to fill in a couple areas and Inspect what you Expect from your Property Manager and Cleaning Crews. Would I stay at this home again? Yes!

Lovely Home - lots of shade

This home is everything the pictures show!! It is very tastefully decorated in a beach theme. The home was very clean. The pool was pleasantly warm. The kitchen is supplied with lots of great, fun dishes and cooking supplies. There are many beach towels, bath towels, and kitchen towels. I did have to scrub the clothes washer clean before using it, but front loaders will get mildew easy. Our biggest and really only complaint was that the pool area got little to no direct sunlight. The picture shows sunlight but I think that must be in the middle of summer. We are from Minnesota and were seeking sunshine in February. It was not found in the pool area. We did try move lounge chairs into any sun we could find in the yard, but bugs were annoying. The traffic on Sanibel Island in February was awful. Took an hour to travel 5 miles at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Bike riding was great and the house had 2 bikes to use, but the closest beach was 1.5 miles away. That was too long a ride for our 5 year old twins with training wheels. Be made aware, public parking at the beaches costs $5 per hour, IF you can find a parking spot. Often a line of cars forms to take a parking spot that may open up between 11am to 2pm each day. This is a great rental home but we really missed sunshine at the pool.

What a great home on Sanibel!!! The house is extremely clean, the pool is awesome. So convenient to Billy’s to rent bikes, we ended up riding everywhere! Beach Road is great to ride to from the house and the Causeway to fish is right there! Megan was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend “The Sandcastle” house!

Met all our expectations and needs.

We enjoyed staying in a ranch, with no stairs to climb. We had scattered showers almost every day of our trip, and it was nice having the attached garage. We had our grandkids stop by one afternoon, and it was nice to be able to use the pool, and pool toys. A nice place for a family to stay.

This one-level home made it very easy for all generations to access the house and the pool. The neighborhood was quiet. The vegetation around the house made the pool and patio feel very private and secluded. Megan was very quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely stay at this property again.

When the house IS the vacation!

If I owned this property, I would live there year round, so what a blessing it is that Megan makes this paradise available. For two weeks we got to live right there on the island with a private pool in a quiet immaculate neighborhood with easy access to everything that makes Sanibel great. Bliss!

Private and Peaceful

The property was as described. We welcomed the privacy and quiet of the house and its surroundings. The interior of the house is very attractively furnished and the patio as well. We found eating outside by the screened pool was a treat; in fact we were outside more than in. Megan responded quickly to any questions we had.
