The Chapman House - An Urban Retreat

Have an urban experience in quaint historic Downtown Edmond, OK. This upstairs urban townhouse was built in 2017 for this very purpose. Walk to the University of Central Oklahoma, The Patriarch, UCO Jazz Lab and enjoy all the amenities of our walk-able environment. The second story townhouse is new and furnished to provide the guest an urban experience. Guests have the entire townhouse and access to a wonderful courtyard with fire pit. The neighborhood is unique because it is walkable and bikable with many restaurants, bars, and other entertainment options within walking distance.

Great, great place to stay in Edmond. Walking distance to downtown and lots of restaurants.Very quiet, very comfortable stay. Well set up in the kitchen with plates and cooking utensils, as well as plenty of towels and bathroom needs.Communication with the host was also great, with quick responses to questions.I would recommend this stay 100%

A perfect location for a family visit. Aside from being very clean and welcoming, the space was carefully designed to never feel crowded. The hosts are excellent and very responsive. Access to a full-size kitchen gave us another way to spend time together and peace of mind that our various dietary restrictions wouldn't be a problem for anyone.

Perfect for a long weekend in Edmond

We were in town for a wedding and this ended up being a perfect spot to stay. Convenient for the wedding related events and fun things to do during our down time. We enjoyed the breweries and restaurants (lots of walkable options). The apartment is nice and had everything we needed.

Clean, comfortable, and private

Property owner was available but very non intrusive. No neighbors on either side, very quiet area but walkable.

Very nice and very convenient

Great location, walking distance to stores and restaurants. Near the freeway to downtown OKC and tourist attractions. Apt is built above the garage so it is very private, up a flight of stairs. David and Julia are super nice and responsive to any requests. Many pros and only 1 con. Their is a freight train that runs behind the apartment several times during the day and night. If you're a deep sleeper or used to noise at night it isn't a problem. Would highly recommend this AirBnB.

Thanks Barbara. We enjoyed having you and glad you enjoyed your stay. Good news is the train horn will be silenced in a month or so. The railroad and City of Edmond have implemented a quiet zone in Edmond and the train horn will forever be a thing of the past. So, on your next stay you will not hear the train whistle.

Excellent!

David was great to work with. He was able to help us out when our original location fell through. We learned about the different neighborhoods in OKC, and this is a very safe location. We were comfortable immediately. The apartment had everything that we needed. I would strongly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to town.

Location Location Location!

The Chapman House is a great place to stay in Edmond, with easy access to any part of Oklahoma City and surrounding towns. You’ll absolutely fall in love with the fabulous shower and comfy bed. Both make it hard to leave and looking forward to returning!

The Train

Very nice place other then the Train that goes by all times of the Day & Night. (Very Noisey) The place could use Towel Bars. Other then that very Clean and Comfortable.

Cozy Home in a Great Location

My husband and I had a great stay at the Hurd House. It was a quaint 1915 home with so much detail - it was extraordinary to be living in a part of history. The home was in great condition and has all the necessary upgrades. It was clean and comfortable. The owner is incredibly accessible and helpful. If you stay and you need anything, don’t be shy, just ask and he will accommodate you within reason (I am assuming there is something he’d decline but didn’t run into that). There is plenty of cooking and eating space. All the necessary utensils and linens are provided. Right outside the front door is a very short walk to Downtown Edmond. There are a lot of food and drink options and some very nice boutique shopping options. The internet works well. There is a TV w local chant and streaming ability - just login with your acct and remember to logout before you leave. The one bit of info I will offer is the train that is a few hundred feet from the house - it travels through those tracks regularly, including the nighttime. My husband and I both grew up close (not this close, but close) to trains so it didn’t bother us much, but if you aren’t accustomed, this may be a problem for you. If you’re looking to be in Downtown Edmond, I would struggle to suggest a place where the train would not be heard, however. The train just comes with the town. This house was perfect for us. We were visiting for a long weekend (4 nights) from Phoenix for a wedding. My brother lives in Dallas and flew in for one night and we were able to accommodate him without any problems. It was close to where we needed to be and had so many food options right outside the door. I loved my stay here and will definitely return.
