The apartment has unbelievable ocean views of the working waterfront and many luxurious, top-notch amenities to make your time in the space a memorable one. A Fathom Above is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. The space has its own private entry on the ground floor on the eastern side of the building. The entrance is private to the apartment and only for guests use. There is a second point of entry on the water side via a seaside staircase that leads up to your own balcony space.
As you ascend the interior stairway you will come into a hall, you can travel down the hall to the kitchen, go up the stairs to the primary bedroom or take a left and go into a great open concept dining, living, office area. Enjoy sweeping views of Stonington’s bustling thoroughfare from any area in this diverse space. There is also a wet bar in this room with a sink, ice maker, glasses/tumblers and sparkling granite countertops.
The kitchen at A Fathom Above has most items you’ll need to make meals from your rental space. There is an electric range and microwave to prepare foods and an apartment size dishwasher to make clean up a breeze. Additionally if we didn’t mention it already there is a wonderful dining option on the ground floor to get guests of the hook for dinner. In the hallway to the kitchen there is a laundry closet with a full capacity washer and dryer.
A Fathom Above has two bedrooms both with private bathrooms. The main floor has a queen bed, nightstands with lamps, an armoire for clothes storage, window treatments (shades) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower stall. The primary bedroom is on the second floor of the apartment and has a king bed, a Juliet balcony, a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower and rounding it out with a large dressing room / quiet area that has a daybed / futon. There is one item that is good to mention about the second floor balcony. The restaurants kitchen vent does come off the primary bedrooms balcony. Evening porch sits might be best served on the main level deck.

*The owners do own land off Cemetery Road in Stonington and do offer off street parking there. It is a little bit of a walk so most use street side parking or park on Pink Street across the road which is fine to do.

We’ve rented vacation places all over the world, and this unit is super. Everything you need. Right in the village. Fantastic views. There’s a buzz from the busy Main Street and the restaurant below, but we’ve enjoyed that a lot. All around an excellent experience. Our 3rd stay here!!

Amazing views; very comfortable apartment
This is our second stay in this charming apartment right in "downtown" Stonington, directly on the harbor. The 2 bedrooms are on different floors, giving a sense of space, privacy, and quiet. The apartment is well-appointed and has a great feel to it. Easy-to-use kitchen. Laundry. 2 decks for watching harbor activity (and the restaurant deck below!). There is some ambient noise from the restaurant downstairs (and from the restaurant kitchen's exhaust fan, which you hear in the upstairs bedroom), but it hasn't bothered us at all. Beautiful place; we certainly would stay here again.

HOUSE RULES NO SMOKING No large parties or gatherings No fire pits unless advertised and included
CANCELLATION POLICY All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
