The Space:
The Impeccable Peacock, located on the much-coveted Gaston Street, has been meticulously restored and furnished to offer guests a peaceful and opulent retreat. You will be just steps away from Forsyth Park and the walkable streets and squares along Bull and Abercorn Streets.
This set of five Italianate rowhouses from 108 to 116 East Gaston were constructed in 1884 by JJ Dale & David Wells, notable political figures of their era. The Impeccable Peacock sits as the second in the row and is also the third home from Drayton and Gaston Streets and the corner of Forsyth Park!
The mansion is divided into three distinct residences with this listing specifically for the 3 bedroom Main House.
Facing Gaston Street, you’ll notice the 2nd story, bright red lacquered door, shining like a proud peacock, leading to the parlor entrance of the mansion.
The foyer showcases historic hardwood plank flooring, staircase and a custom designed wine cellar. The entire home showcases opulent cornice moldings and architrave combining wood and marble that frame stunning views throughout the home. The in-depth renovation saved the original fireplace mantles, pocket doors and hardwood floors throughout.
The home is filled with natural daylight and spectacular decorative features in the millwork, vintage chandeliers and even the bathroom faucets! Every room has another sumptuous design feature to unveil; many collected by the owners while traveling the world. The furnishings are eclectic and most interesting!
Guests are welcomed into the formal parlor adorned with vintage blue and pink peacock upholstery and an heirloom chessboard-game-table overlooking the Live Oak Trees through the bay windows. Passing through the historic ten-foot pocket doors, you enter the dining room continues the peacock theme with spectacular peacock and floral wall art and banquet table that comfortably seats ten.
Adjacent to the dining room is a powder room featuring a gilded lily faucet, fox-themed wallpaper and local art.
Last but not least, the palatial kitchen includes high-end appliances, gas stove, and the elegant granite island perfect for gathering with wine and charcuterie or watching your family’s favorite chef whip up dinner. The bar includes a second sink and a built-in ice maker. The expansive glass windows offer views of the porch and lush courtyard below.
Further remarkable details are featured in the rear deck and the Carriage House. All are clad in Brazilian Ipe wood surrounded by the soothing fountain and butterfly garden.
The second floor is locked-off & private for the owners (they are NEVER here during a guests' stay), you ascend to the third floor for bedrooms and a living area designed for relaxation and TV watching.
*Note: Guests with limited mobility may find the stairs challenging. *
On the third floor, an informal lounge area includes a sofa, chairs, and smart TV. Bedrooms are located on either side, with two full bathrooms. This floor also provides a stackable washer/dryer and iron/ironing board.
The primary bedroom faces Gaston Street, with windows framing ancient Live Oak trees, a king bed, and a private en-suite bath featuring a lighted mirror, double vanity, large walk-in shower, and generous storage.
Opposite, two queen bedrooms boast sweeping city views, including the spires of The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. These rooms share a full bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower and double vanity with an illuminated vanity mirror.

*Minimum age to reserve is 25 years of age, no exceptions.
*Maximum occupancy at ALL times is 6 people, including infants & children.

The City of Savannah Noise Ordinance requires strict observance of QUIET TIME between 10 pm and 8 am. Savannah Police and the neighborhood strictly enforce this. The individual violators can be fined and/or EVICTED.
*No pets or smoking allowed.
PARKING:
The City of Savannah uses metered street parking Monday through Friday, free on Saturday/Sunday (in some areas) and uses Meter Pay Stations on each block.
Parking is limited on Gaston Street but easier to find on surrounding blocks.
Visitor Parking Day Passes are available for 24hours/$15 and 48hours/$24 and can be purchased at the City of Savannah Parking Services Office.
