Enchanted Retreat, the perfect getaway retreat in southwest Colorado!

Relax and unwind in this beautiful home away from home surrounded by meadows, pinon, juniper, and ponderosa pines. Fantastic views of surrounding mountains. Perfect location for visiting Mesa Verde, Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, ancient ruins, canyons, hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, and shopping!

This 1400 sq ft retreat has an open floor plan, amazing views, lots of windows and two large sky lights. The living room has a gas stove, a couch and two rocking chairs. There's a small library/reading area with a glider. The kitchen has granite counter tops, double sink, Jenn Air electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. It is fully equipped for all your cooking needs, also has a coffee maker, blender, waffle iron and toaster.

The bedroom has a very comfortable King bed, dresser drawers, a large two-person swivel chair and a gas stove. The bathroom is very roomy, has maple counter tops and a custom tile shower.

You can enjoy the outside on our large wrap around deck that provides amazing view of sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing. There is a gas grill, two comfortable chaise lounge, a small teak table and chairs and bench seating.

Ideal home base for all your vacation activities, including day trips to Mesa Verde National Park, Hovenweep National Monument, Canyon of the Ancients, Dolores River Canyon, Durango/Durango Silverton Train, Ouray/Box Canyon Falls, and Telluride, just to name a few.

Enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the San Juan Mountains in the fall, winter skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing out your back door. Walking paths around Summit Lake and through our forest and meadows.

Delicious food and beverage can be found at our local restaurants in Mancos and Dolores....10 minute drive, and a few more choices in Cortez, just 20 minutes away. We are 45 minutes to Durango, 90 minutes to Telluride, 2 hours to Moab, 2 hours to Pagosa Springs.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay, it was one of the highlights of our trip! The house was clean and comfortable, and we loved having dinner on the deck overlooking the meadow and mountains, watching the sunset (Zuma Foods has great prepared food to go). It was also a great location for going to Mesa Verde and Telluride.

Perfect, relaxing retreat

What a beautiful home and setting for a rental. Every day was a pleasure with such a variety of birds to enjoy and views of the local mountains and lakes from every part of the house. We looked forward to watching the activity of nature in the morning and seeing the beautiful sunsets each evening.Additionally, the house was equipped with high quality utensils, pans. Laundry room had everything you needed for washing your clothes. We have never been in a rental where you could see the pride the owners had in making sure their guests felt like they were in their own home.We hiked and explored the local areas. Even though it was a very busy time to visit, we were able to find remote roads where we were able to enjoy the beautiful wildflowers and stunning views.The owners greeted us when we arrived and helped us when we had questions about the area. A most enjoyable stay

This house is beautifully situated to take advantage of the surrounding scenery. It offers a 360-view of the spectacular 4 Corners area. It is also very thoughtfully furnished for guests' comfort and convenience.

Wonderful!

Wonderful place to stay!

We wanted to get away for a quiet week and it was exactly what was needed. Another Spectacular Stay

We keep returning to this beautiful home situated in the most incredible spot. The views are second to none, and the house is an architectural masterpiece that is absolutely immaculate. Nancy, the host, is a generous, kind person, and has stocked every drawer, closet, and cabinet with everything anyone would use to cook well and be comfortable. Beautiful views of snow-covered mountains

Beautiful construction with outstanding views from all rooms. Birds at the feeders, flowers by the deck, covered pergola with very comfortable chairs on expansive deck. Owner/hosts helpful and available. Wifi is available, but is not secure. Great stay. Highly recommended!

Amazingly tranquil location. Lots of natural beauty and wildlife. Close to so many things to do. The night sky on clear nights is amazing. We saw things we have never seen before. We now know for sure we are not alone.

Second visit as enchanting as the first

This was our second visit to Enchanted Retreat and it was like coming back to enjoy an old friend. We love it here. We purposely set our intentions on finding peace, solitude and relaxation. Nancy and Tom created a space, a retreat where all this is possible with the luxury of a fine built custom home on BEAUTIFUL acreage! It is truly a magical place. One must experience it to understand. Warmth, love and kindness is ever present.

Fantastic Property

We wholeheartedly agree with all of the previous five star ratings! Truly the Enchanted Retreat was designed, built, and furnished by craftsmen and artists. It is immaculately clean and maintained. Because it is on 95 acres it is so peaceful and quiet with a magnificent night sky. We are already planning our next trip.

Beautiful, serene home

Enchanted retreat was a wonderful place for our anniversary get-away. The home is designed with large windows and scenic views of the mountains, is impeccably clean, and has almost anything that a guest could need. Nancy and Tom were great hosts that accommodated us with a late night check-in after our numerous flight delays, and promptly addressed a mechanical issue. Overall we loved our stay and hope to be able to visit again.

I'm from California, my husband is from Minnesota, we both lived in Arizona for many years before moving to Colorado. We love the mountains, meadows, forest and lakes that surround our home and love to share this peaceful land with other nature loving people. We look forward to meeting you and having you as our guests.

After living in this area of Colorado for many years, in 1999 we purchased this 95 acres at Summit Lake to build our home. We love this property because it's close to town, yet has the privacy and the peacefulness of the country. My husband, a home builder for 38 yrs, completed our home in 2002. Wildlife viewing is another favorite past time, as this land has deer, elk, fox, coyote, racoon, blue heron, eagles, hawks and Canadian geese, just to name a few.
Our Enchanted Retreat was completed by my husband in July 2013. Come enjoy the beauty of this land, walk our private trails, sit in nature and renew your spirit.
