in the hearth of Ortigia

Casa Medasia is a detached house in the middle of the old kasbah of Ortigia, overlooking the delightful little square of La Graziella, where two olive trees and a banana tree make you breathe the warm of the Mediterraneao, immediately behind the colorful market of Syracuse and within walking distance from the sea and the main tourist attraction.
Casa Medasia has been named in the same way as the house in Cambodia, where Valentina and Steve live for most of the year, and the name reflects their passion for the Mediterraneo and Asia, hence the name.
The house, completely renovated by Valentina, will allow you to live in a colorful and extremely personalized and welcoming environment and to breathe a little bit of Asia in Italy, just because fabrics and details used come directly from Cambodia.
Valentina, architect and photographer and Steve, musician, wanted to pour their passions here and they are happy to share them in their home with their future guests when they are not in Italy: music, cooking, art, colors, photography and cats; some photos are indeed of their 4 cats in Cambodia.
The house is equipped with all the comforts to enjoy your holiday.
"We both love cooking , that’s why we wanted a fully equipped kitchen, it is a pleasure to go to the market buying fresh products every day and prepare delicious dishes"
Also the paintings express their love for music and for cats!

Not living all year in Ortigia we decided to entrust the care of our house to Alberto, a super nice host that will welcome you and treat as if we were there!
