There is a sofa bed, cot and air mattress available for additional sleeping. Please let us know if oyu plan to use the cot or air mattress so that we can leave extra sheets and blankets out for you.



All beds in the home are super comfortable, ensuring a restful night for every guest. An additional living area downstairs provides space for relaxing or playing games.



The Space

The chef’s kitchen is equipped with modern gas appliances, granite countertops, and everything needed for preparing memorable meals. Fresh eggs are available for guests, subject to availability, adding a charming farm-to-table touch. Gather around the dining table or unwind on the huge covered porch while taking in the peaceful surroundings and spectacular view.



Sugar Chateau is home to a small flock of chickens. Guests can choose to interact with them and let them free range on the property or keep them in their coop, and are welcome to collect fresh eggs.



After a day of hiking, skiing, or sightseeing, relax in the outdoor hot tub, fire up the grill, gather around the outdoor fire pit, or enjoy the swing and slide in the fenced yard.

The Neighborhood:

The neighborhood consists of three houses on 45 acres. You will have a very peaceful and serene stay.



Getting Around:

Located on a quiet lane surrounded by mountain beauty — just 8 miles from Boone, 10 minutes to Valle Crucis, and a short drive to Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, and Beech Mountain.



For Grocery options, the closest and easiest grocery store to get to is Earthfare in Boone, however there is also a Publix, Harris Teeter and another health conscious grocery store called Bee Natural located in Boone. Lowe's Foods is located in Banner Elk off of 105, which is another great stop on your way here, if you are arriving via the Linville area. If you prefer to eat locally, I would recommend Maw's Produce and Shipley Farms for your meat resources. There are also many great restaurant options in nearby Boone and Banner Elk. The Cove Creek Store is your go to for things you may have forgotten to get while in town. They are located within two miles from the house and will have the most useful random things.



Other Things to Note:

Please note: No sweet mountain escape is complete without a little adventure. The road to the house is steep and there are a few sharp turns. It is strongly recommended that you use a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle going up the hill and you may not be able to drive up the hill in icy conditions. Please make other arrangements if you are not comfortable navigating these types of roads.. Please plan accordingly and be prepared for all types of weather conditions.
