This house is in a great location, across the street from the Pearl area. It is also within walking distance to the Riverwalk. The house has been well maintained and has very nice furniture. It has all of the amenities a guest would want. The linens are very nice and the kitchen has nice utensils I would stay there again.

Charming house right in the heart of the trendy Pearl district. Loved the decor, and fantastic location! 4 min walk to the Pearl marketplace area, with shops, restaurants, food, and a beautiful outdoor square. Also right near the riverwalk! We really enjoyed following the beautiful riverwalk all the way into the downtown area. So much to see along the way!

Excellent experience

The property was just as described and very clean and comfortable. Fantastic location to the Pearl, riverwalk and a variety of restaurants. Our host graciously offered us early check in and access was easy. I would definitely choose this spot again when in San Antonio!

Very Nice House

The house was exactly as pictured and very clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to Emma Hotel and the Pearl where there is a Food Hall and other restaurants within walking distance. The Farmers Market at the Pearl on the weekend was great. The neighborhood is going through regeneration and in time will be beautiful. Carlos was easy to work with and very professional. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice House/Great Location

This house is perfect for six people who want to be near the Pearl District. It is a two-minute walk to restaurants, shops, and the beautiful River Walk. The house is modernized, clean and still has some of the charm you hope for in a 100-year-old house. The landlord communicates well and is delightful to talk/write to. I couldn't recommend this house more highly.

Cute cottage. Really enjoyed our stay.

Only issue was construction next door that resulted in a trench being dug across the front yard and driveway. This required us to park on the street and jump over the ditch each time we came or left because no covers were used for deep trench.

Jeff, my sincerest apologies regardining the plumbing project that was forced on us due to the new home built next door. We were actually given a timeframe for which we blocked our calendar to prevent any inconvenience to our guests. As timing and providence would have it, the project ran longer than expected. One of the crew members gave me their word that the trench would be covered at the walkway. Had I known that it wasn't covered to make a safe path to cross, I would've been over there to cover it myself. Overall, I really appreciate your cooperation and understanding. I'm glad you all really enjoyed your stay and provided us with a 5 star review despite the unforeseen construction. We at S.A. Vacay look forward to hosting your next vacation in San Antonio!

Practically Perfect at The Purple Pearl!

We loved our stay, family of 5 all adults for a long weekend! Great location. Walked the Pearl every day and enjoyed the farmer’s market, shops, dining. Easy to get to Riverwalk, Alamo etc. Felt safe, clean, great emenities, comfy beds, lovely decor. We knew when we booked, that the backyard was unavailable due to future landscaping plans but didn’t know that right along the side of the house where the bedrooms are, they’re starting construction on a new house and it was very early and very loud to wake up to. I could have passed them a cup of coffee out the window. If you don’t mind the noise and early wake up it’s not a problem. Carlos was easy to communicate with and we may stay here again in the future. Thank you!

We're so glad you all loved your stay and enjoyed our great location next to Pearl!!! Pearl continues to grow rapidly and there has been various construction projects in the area; with the most recent home going up right next door. We hope they'll complete their build soon so we can resume normal conditions. Thanks again for your 5 star review and we look forward to hosting your next S.A. Vacay!

Groomsmen hideout

Carlos is one of the easiest renters I’ve ever worked with! He is prompt, upfront, and very easy to work with. We stayed a few days to prepare for my brother’s wedding and it was great to know that the VRBO location and conditions were one thing we didn’t have to worry about. Next time in town I would not think twice about staying anywhere Carlos hosts.

Three night stay for family funeral.

We needed a house for family to stay to attend a funeral at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery. This 3 bedroom home was perfect. The location is ideal., near the Pearl district and River Walk. Beautiful walking paths. Because of the pandemic, we wanted to opportunity to get outside and walk. Cook breakfast each morning and have a few takeout meals. The home is marvelous. Newly remodeled in an attractive soft contemporary “HGTV” style. The amenities were abundant. Good firm beds, strong WiFi signal, well stocked kitchen. Nice linens, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. Carlos is the BEST! Excellent communications prior and during our stay. We plan to tell all our friends about this rental. I am sure that all of Carlos’ properties are top notch. He was very kind and let us check out an hour later than posted. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans. The front porch is ideal for relaxing with a cup of coffee.

Carlos's Tobin Hill Property

This property is clean, well equipped, and nicely decorated. Perfect location across from the Pearl District. Great walking trail along the river. Sat on the front porch everyday for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Great restaurants nearby. Carlos is an amazing host. Highly recommend!

I would stay here again.

This is a wonderful house. It’s decorated well, very clean and comfortable. The only reason I gave the “location and neighborhood“ 4 stars is that it’s in an “up and coming neighborhood”. The house next door is run down and doesn’t look occupied. Does make for quiet neighbors, though! The location is an easy walk to the “Pearl” area with several restaurants and boutiques. I would stay here again.
