The Orange Fox is a beautifully renovated classic double brick cottage with a spacious extension. Centrally located in one of Orange’s quintessential tree lined streets, it is your home away from home offering you luxury and style. Hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings, high-end furnishings and a cute well established garden and entertaining area makes this the perfect space for couples, friends and families.
The home is perfect for in-home relaxing and unwinding or to visit the excellent local cafes and restaurants, all less than a 5 minute walk.
Supplied for your comfort and enjoyment are: large comfortable couches, perfect to snuggle up as you watch Netflix on the 60” television, complete with sound bar; the dining table for 8 is perfect to enjoy a home cooked dinner or you can savour your wine on the comfortable outdoor lounge enjoying a meal cooked on the 4 burner BBQ. Featuring gas ducted heating throughout the home, ensuring your stay will be cosy and warm.
Each of the 3 light filled queen bedrooms enjoy 5* ecosa mattresses, pure cotton sateen 1000 thread sheets, Sheridan luxury bath sheets and electric blankets. The 2 front bedrooms open to the charming porch, perfect for enjoying your coffee in the morning sun.

Perfect home away from home

A weekend with friends was made extra special by our stay at The Orange Fox. Comfortable beds to rest our heads after days filled with shopping, spacious living areas for us to catch up at night and a lovely garden to enjoy our morning cuppas. Highly recommend this stay.

Beautifully styled property in great location.

Fantastic property, high recommend. I’ve stayed in various houses over the years in Orange and Orange Fox is by far the best. The house is immaculately clean and beautifully styled. Very comfortable and spacious property. Great location walking to the main st and Byng St cafe.

Faultless Property

Stunning home to stay with friends. Great location to base ourselves. Very homey, comfy and beautiful. Lovely touch from owners to have all lamps on and Tim tams in the fridge before we arrived in the evening. Will stay again.

Wedding weekend

We were in Orange for the wedding of our sons best mate. The venue was a perfect location for us to stay and get ready for the wedding and enjoy the weekend. The house was a close drive or short walk to restaurants, pubs and shops. A great house for what we needed.

Beautiful well appointed home

The house was in a great location with easy parking and access. The home was better than the photos which is rare. It was beautifully appointed with quality inclusions from Sheridan towels to Royal Dalton dishes. It had everything you could want. The only disappointment was we were unable to work out how to use the TV. Luckily we were able to cast our Netflix account to the TV to watch a movie. Directions are needed. Also communication with the owner was slow via the app but when he replied he was

Better than expected!

We walked through the front door of the Orange Fox and went from room to room feeling more delighted with each step. The Orange Fox is well appointed ... it's like walking into someone's home rather than a rental. Very clean, beautiful furnishings, plenty of throws for those cold nights. The lights and air conditioning were on when we arrived so we felt welcomed. The shower is over the bath but is a great shower. Plenty of plates, cutlery, glasses and kitchen necessaries - pots, pans, cutting and cheese boards. Within walking distance of a great pub with delicious Thai food. The only faults we could possibly find (and I'm certain the owners will rectify this quickly) is that in the largest bedroom one side of the electric blanket didn't work and it would be great to have instructions for the television as we had difficulty there. Those two things aside, we had a wonderful time. The home is so inviting that we didn't bother going out either night for dinner - brought our own food one night and take away the other. Would highly recommend this accommodation and we will certainly be back again. Thank you Roger and Kay!

Beautiful home in lovely street

We loved our stay at Orange Fox. Bedrooms are large, well appointed and comfortable and kitchen/living area is large, beautifully furnished and cozy. There is a lovely, leafy secluded garden out the back. There were many special touches in the house which had lovely, tasteful Xmas decorations and tree, lovely throws everywhere too. Location is excellent. Within 10 minutes walking distance to Lolli Redini and also The schoolhouse restaurants. About 15 minutes walk further into town. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Mudgee.

Our 5 days at the Orange Fox

Excellent location within walking distance of CBD, restaurants, cafes, hotels and shops. The property is well maintained, clean, has quality furnishings and fittings. Would highly recommend to couple/s & families looking to visit Orange and day trips to the many surrounding regional towns.

Excellent, had everything we needed and more, and was spotlessly clean and comfortable. A pleasure to come home to. Only problems were tricky parking, reverse at an angle trying to avoid witches hats and difficult to find light switches. minor!

The Orange Fox had everything we needed. The house was lovely and very comfortable. The only down side was that the internet wasn’t working so we couldn’t access the information on the tablet, however, this didn’t affect our stay.

Lovely home in the centre of Orange

We had a wonderful weekend at the property. It really feels like a home with all the amenities and little touches that made it a great experience. E.g great cooking equipment, wifi, smart tv, soaps and towels. Very easy check in process. We will definely be back when in Orange again, highly recommended.

A charming, warm and very comfortable cottage

We had a wonderful stay at The Orange Fox! It is a very clean and comfortable cottage with everything you need! The location is amazing with everything in walking distance to the house. It had central heating which was perfect to take the bite out of the chilly mornings. We will definitely stay again when we next visit

We (Roger, Kay and Tara) are proud to share our gorgeous cottage, The Orange Fox, with you. We live in Sydney and fell in love with Orange when we first visited in 2016. We loved the fresh air, the gorgeous countryside and the friendly country culture, not to mention the foodie and wine haven that it is! We quickly decided that we wanted to live in Orange down the track, and in the meantime hunted for the right property as our, and your, getaway retreat.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Why this property, a really good question. We hunted for the right property for about 4 months. This cottage speaks to the architecture of Orange, double brick home on blue stone foundations. The house has retained the original features in the front and has a sympathetic extension keeping with the character of the home.

There are a number of streets in Orange that just make you go WOW - wide streets lined by the most beautiful trees. The Orange Fox is located in one of those streets.

Lastly we loved the located, quiet street yet within walking distance to the city where you can access the marvellous cafes and restaurants.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We love old homes and The Orange Fox, retains a number of unique features from the era - high ceilings, picture rails, fire place and original floorboards.

We love the small garden at the front which welcomes you and the little porch to relax whilst sipping your coffee. The back yard is just the right size for a weekender and the corregated shed adds a touch of country.

Lastly we love the trees on the property - the huge Japanese maple in the back and the 2 silver birch trees which frame the house at the front.
