Our property is a beautiful piece of land, only 2.5 miles from the jewel of Kandiyohi County, Green Lake. Our 240 acre farmstead has all the room you would need for any type of stay. A long weekend away, an extended stay, family gathering, day or weekend retreat, family reunion, etc... We have the space to accommodate it all, plus whatever you have in tow!
Our renovated modern farmhouse has accommodation for up 10 with amenities. We also have 2 more primitive "camping cabins" that are available for an additional feel.
Each would have room for an additional 10 people but bedding would be needed.
Our farmstead offers a lot in the way of relaxation. If you prefer a campfire and conversation versus a TV and a video game, we are up your alley - we actually don't even have a TV... If a long walk on a quiet country road interests you, we have miles of them for you! If falling asleep to the sound of wind blowing through oak trees is more appealing to you than the sound of the neighbors TV through the hotel wall, come check us out.
Nature is abundant here. Deer, waterfowl, wild turkeys, pheasants, sand hill cranes and others are daily visitors. A busy traffic day is a couple of cars per hour going by! If you enjoy, or haven’t heard the absolute silence of nature, you will really like unwinding here.
There is room to set up and play about any game you want to bring, as well as tree swings and a tree house for the kids.
Our area offers many things to do during all seasons. Green Lake is the centerpiece of our area in all 4 seasons. The closest boat launch is just 2.5 miles from our farmstead. There is ample room for any and all boat parking on our land as well. Our area boasts a number of other lakes that all over something differently. If bicycling is your thing, the Glacial Lakes Trail system offers miles and miles of scenic routes through the area. Sibley State Park is 10 miles away with a plethora of outdoor activities to do as well.
Our New London - Spicer area is widely known for its shopping and boutiques, with something for everyone. Food and drink is aplenty in our area as well. If dining out isn’t your thing, feel free to spend the evening in at the farmstead and make your own meal in the kitchen, on the grill, or over the campfire.
A little more about our house…. The main house dates back a hundred plus years with an addition that has decades on it also. It has been many years since tractors worked the earth and animals were raised there. Time for something new!
We have updated it with a modern clean style in mind. The kitchen is all new and simple. A buffet style table with benches on the back side can easily seat 10 and is a great gathering spot. It’s worth telling you up front though – we don’t have a dishwasher – it is you!
Our living room overlooks the fields to the south. 7 or 8 can sit in the area comfortably. A sectional sofa contains a queen bed and would have room for kids on either side of Mom and Dad if they so desired.
The main level has the master bedroom, which also has a queen bed.
A steep stairway – very common for a house of this age – takes you up to the other 3 rooms. It is a very unique area featuring authentic shiplap and wide plank floors.
3 cozy bedrooms are up there. 2 rooms contain queen beds, although you have to walk through one to get to the other. At the top of the stairs is the 3rd room which has a set of bunk beds - perfect for kids.
Our cabins are pretty simple and a 30 second walk from the main house. Both are able to sleep up to 10 people depending on the arrangements you want. We have mattresses for up to 10 per cabin, but the rest is up to you. No running water in them, but they can be heated, cooled and have refrigerators.
We know you will enjoy your time here. There is a bit of something for everyone in a beautiful little part of the state. We hope you choose to come see us!

Please note - to avoid any confusion with the booking process.... The nightly rate is tiered so that we are affordable for groups of all sizes. The base rate for the house is listed and is for up to 4 people. Each additional person is $20 per night, up to a max of 10 in the house. The cabins are a little more primitive and can be booked separately. Please contact us for pricing.
