Family Fun, Beautiful Sunsets

This home has master bedroom with private bath, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with twin beds. Dining room table seats 8 to 10 comfortably. Kitchen, Dining, and Great Room all open and have great views of lake. A woodburning fireplace and large flat screen TV make house enjoyable in winter as well. Screened porch on back deck overlooking lake provides a great place to watch the sunset over the water. Two docks with chairs for lounging and ladder for swimming. Outdoor fire pit great to sit around, plenty of firewood available! Bocce ball court and corn hole provide family fun! Bring your own boat or rent one from the Marina on Lake Blackshear. Good place to tie up boat at dock for duration of rental.

Veterans Memorial State Park is less than 10 minutes away by boat or land. There you can enjoy golfing, hiking or ultimate frisbee! The Retreat at Lake Blackshear offers fine dining at Cordelia's, and the Cypress Grill has a great outdoor atmosphere on the water. Another favorite local spot for pizza is The Cove, only a few minutes away. Nearby Daphne Lodge is a wonderful place to eat and was featured in Southern Living Magazine. Or drive in 15 minutes to Cordele and have steak at 16th Avenue East. You won't be disappointed!

There are also 2 hammocks, 2 kayaks, and a canoe all available for your use to make your weekend more enjoyable.

We now have high speed internet via a fiber optic cable with Southern Fiberworx, this has been a great addition!

It’s Perfect

Everything about this property is wonderful. We loved the location and enjoyed both docks. The house has lots of room as pictures show and the beds were very comfy. We would definitely stay here again.

Gem on the water

Great home on Lake Blackshear in a quiet area with easy access to nearby town, Veterans Memorial Park, Andersonville National Cemetery and Museum. Plenty of great local restaurants. The home is clean, quaintly decorated with a wonderful porch. Plenty of parking. Hope to book again next year for our annual trip.

Great Quiet Getaway on Lake Blackshear

We really enjoyed our stay. We decided to bring our meals along with to prepare & enjoy at the house. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the things we needed in preparation and the grill was amazing! Great sunsets from the dock! We definitely recommend and would come back!

Beautiful setting on Lake Blackshear ..if your family likes fishing, kayaking, canoeing and a laid back atmosphere this is a wonderful place located only 3-4 hours from Atlanta..highly recommend..

Watermelon festival

Cindy and her family were a wonderful host! We had a few questions and she responded quickly! The lake house was amazing. It was amazing to wake up and fish from the docks and the sunsets were perfect! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Perfect spot on the lake!

Had a wonderful time in this wonderful house on the lake! Its not only as described its better. Plenty of space. Nice screened porch and very large dock. Had lots of fun fishing and ended up using the fire pit one night. Would definitely recommend!

Nice lake house

This was our first time in the area so the information on where to eat and go was great. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend. Our only issue which was not an issue for a long weekend would be to update the pots and pans especially for a longer stay. Thank you for allowing us to experience the lake, hopefully we’ll get to go again.

Second Stay

Our family loves this lake house! It has everything you need for a fun weekend at the lake. We loved hanging out on the dock, relaxing in the hammocks, and making s’mores around the huge fire pit. The grandkids enjoyed the bocce ball and just running around the big yard. There’s a nice boat slip and a wonderful screened in porch. The house is clean and comfortable. We especially love the large dining table that’s big enough for everyone to sit and enjoy the food that we grilled every night on the nice grill. This is a great rental and the owner is super nice!

Fantastic Weekend

My family along with another family stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and we cannot say enough good things about our weekend. This was by far one of the best relaxing and stress free vacations we have had. The house was cozy and comfortable and very clean and had enough space for everyone. The property itself was amazing and the views were incredible. We enjoyed tubing, swimming, kayaking, relaxing on the dock and in the hammocks. Everyone even the adults enjoyed all the activities!! The fish were not very cooperative this weekend but still everyone had fun trying to snag one. Would definitely recommend this listing to anyone who is looking for great accommodations on the lake. We will be visiting again in the future!

Amazing home by the lake

This was the perfect house for our family of six. We had so much fun that we didn’t want to leave. We wished we had booked a longer stay. The house was very clean and there was plenty of room for the entire family. Everything was comfortable, cozy, and the house was fully stocked with everything that you would need for your stay. We used the two kayaks that were provided and brought our own inflatable paddle boards. It was a great spot for fishing off of the dock and the lake was beautiful. We tried the suggested restaurant for pizza and store for snacks. There is a Walmart only fifteen minutes away by car- if you need to pick up anything that you forgot- like we did. The grill was nice, as well as the fire pit for sitting around and enjoying s’mores. We will definitely return as this was the perfect lake house for family fun.

My family has lived in Cordele for many generations and we are so happy to now have a second home on Lake Blackshear. We purchased the home in the spring of 2013 and had many great times over the summer. Now we want to share it with others!

The beautiful lot is what sold us on this property. It has a nicely landscaped back yard with 110 feet of waterfrontage. The screened back porch overlooks the lake with gorgeous sunsets. The docks are ideal for relaxing as well.

I redecorated the house when we purchased it in 2013, it has a very charming lake decor! It also has a swing overlooking the lake, rocking chairs on the front porch, and nice deck furniture on the back porch for relaxing with family and friends. Addendum, May 2016 I added a bocce ball court
