Relax in this 3BR, 2.5BA two-level home perched right on North Chickamauga Creek. Enjoy creek access via a hillside path and unwind in the cozy creek house with morning coffee or an evening drink. The top level features an open kitchen, dining area, sitting space, screened porch, and two queen bedrooms with two full baths. The lower level offers a queen bedroom with workspace, half bath, living area with streaming TV, and patio access. A truly peaceful escape!
The Space
This peaceful creekside retreat offers two levels of comfortable living designed for relaxation, connection, and easy access to nature. Sitting directly on North Chickamauga Creek, the home offers soothing water sounds throughout the day. Guests can access the creek via a hillside path—perfect for wading, relaxing, or simply enjoying the view.
The top level features an open-concept layout with a fully stocked kitchen, dining table, and cozy sitting area. Large windows and the screened-in porch let you enjoy the natural surroundings year-round. This level also includes two bedrooms with queen beds and two full bathrooms for added comfort and privacy.
The lower level provides a quiet getaway with a third bedroom featuring a queen bed and dedicated workspace, along with a convenient half bath. A spacious living area with a streaming-ready TV offers a comfortable spot for movie nights or downtime. From here, you can walk directly out to the patio, where the creek and woods create the perfect backdrop for morning coffee or evening unwinding.
Whether you`re here for a peaceful escape, outdoor adventures, or time with loved ones, this home offers the ideal blend of comfort and nature.
Guests can access the entire home. There is one locked closet on the lower level. The outside shed is also locked.

The nearby gorge is carved by North Chickamauga Creek, a State Scenic River flowing through sandstone bluffs and forested slopes.
One of the area’s most-loved landmarks is the Blue Hole — a deep turquoise swimming hole in the creek — just a short drive (or adventurous hike) away.
Trails abound for hiking, nature walks, and rock scrambling — making this a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
🏘 Neighborhood Feel
Montlake Road is a clean, friendly, family-oriented street with a strong sense of community and local nature-watching.
You’ll experience a quieter pace of life — rural but accessible — with homes set among wooded lots, views of the creek or ridges, and minimal traffic.
Despite the secluded feel, you’re still a short drive to conveniences and to the city of Chattanooga.

The trail-entrance to North Chickamauga Creek Gorge is very close: the park spans approximately 6,000 acres and features steep slopes, forested ridges and scenic river views.
For a memorable adventure, head to the Blue Hole trail: you’ll enjoy a beautiful natural swimming pool, large boulders, and scenic forest surroundings.
While the area is peaceful, it’s wise to remember the terrain is more rugged than a typical suburban neighborhood — rocks, hills, woods and natural features are part of the charm.
✅ Things to Note
Cell signal may vary in spots given the wooded hillside and creek-valley location.
Evening noises: you’ll hear the creek, rustling leaves, and maybe wildlife — part of the creekside experience.
Some access roads/trails may be unpaved or steep — caution advised, especially for those with mobility concerns.
Wild swimming/gorge access comes with conditions (check creek levels/trail safety).
It’s a true nature setting — great for morning coffee on the porch, evening creek-sound serenity, and hiking by day.
You will need a car to access most areas.
Creek Access: The home sits directly on North Chickamauga Creek. Guests may access the water using the natural hillside path, which requires walking up and down a moderately steep hill—please use caution.
Driveway & Parking: The driveway is fairly steep, and a large boulder on one side can block visibility when exiting. We recommend using the side portion of the upper driveway to pull parallel with the main road before merging so you can clearly see oncoming cars. We do not recommend turning left when leaving the property. There is also a covered vehicle parked in front of the shed.
Wood Stove: The indoor wood stove is locked and not for guest use.
Outdoor Pizza Oven: The outdoor pizza oven is currently not operational.
Creek House & Wildlife: The small creek house offers a peaceful place to relax by the water, though it is not climate-controlled. As this is a wooded, creekside property, you may encounter local wildlife.
No Smoking: Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind inside the home. Any evidence of smoke of any substance will result in an immediate $500 charge, plus the full cost of remediation and additional cleaning. If you do smoke, please do so outside and away from the home and properly dispose of any cigarette butts or trash. Extra fees will apply for cigarette butts littered on the property.
We are on a septic system! Please, do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet. Trash bins are provided for feminine products and any fancy butt wipes you may use. Even if they say “flushable” they are not for our septic system. Please do not put solids down the disposal in the kitchen sink. ONLY use the disposal to clean up any remaining residue and use drain baskets to throw all solids in the trash.
No swimming in the pond at the front of the home! There is electricity for the waterfall, and it is not safe.
Please close the gate after accessing the creek.
Pets: Pets are welcome with a $100 non-refundable pet fee and a max of two pets. Please clean up after your pets and keep them off the furniture.
No Parties: Parties, events, and large gatherings are strictly prohibited.
No Fires: NO FIRES of any kind are permitted on the property. This includes bonfires, fire pits, the wood stove, and the outdoor pizza oven. Any fire will result in charges, and the fire department may impose additional fines.
While we maintain excellent professional pest control, this home is located in a wooded, creekside setting. Because of the natural environment, it is possible to see an occasional insect during your stay. If anything concerns you, we are always happy to send pest control out as quickly as possible. However, please note that we do not offer refunds for sightings of insects, as they are a normal part of staying in a forest environment.
Respect the Property: Please leave the home in the same condition you found it and report any damages promptly.
