Desert’s Nest — “Where the Desert Nests the Soul.”
Welcome to Desert’s Nest, a serene retreat tucked away in the heart of Joshua Tree. Spend your days lounging by the cowboy pool, soaking in the hot tub, or relaxing in a hammock beneath endless skies. As night falls, step into the stargazing dome and explore the night sky through your own telescope — a truly magical desert experience.
The space
Inside, you’ll find a cozy open layout with a well-equipped kitchenette, perfect for brewing morning coffee or preparing simple meals. It includes a fridge, stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils — everything you need for easy desert living.
Unwind to the sound of timeless classics on the vinyl record player, or settle into the king bed dressed in soft bamboo sheets. Stream your favorite shows with Starlink Wi-Fi or enjoy a quiet movie night on the Smart TV. With thoughtful touches throughout — from the BBQ grill to the washer and dryer — Desert’s Nest offers everything you need to unwind, reconnect, and let the desert do what it does best: restore your soul.
Guest access

Good to Know:
Please note: Desert’s Nest is a pet-free and smoke-free home.
We care deeply about keeping the space clean, peaceful, and comfortable for all guests.
Families traveling with a toddler or infant are welcome — just keep in mind that the home isn’t equipped with baby-specific items like cribs or high chairs. Parents are fully responsible for their child’s safety and supervision during the stay.
Road Conditions:
Many desert roads are unpaved — please drive slowly and carefully.
A four-wheel-drive vehicle is not required, but note that roads may have ruts after rain.
Security Camera:
For safety and peace of mind, there is one exterior camera facing the entrance gate and driveway only.
No cameras are located inside or in private areas.
Desert Wildlife & Safety:
Joshua Tree’s desert is full of life and natural beauty. Encounters with wildlife such as coyotes, snakes, or scorpions are rare, but it’s important to stay aware and keep a safe distance if spotted. Watch your step around cacti and other sharp plants, and respect the natural environment during your stay. By booking, guests acknowledge and accept the natural conditions of the desert landscape.

Joshua Tree is home to many unique species of flora and fauna, including (but not limited to) coyotes, stray dogs, rabbits, mice, insects, snakes, spiders, scorpions, cactus, and various thorny or sharp desert plants. Please stay alert and exercise caution at all times. Avoid walking barefoot outside or around the property.
Although we regularly spray and clean for insects, they may occasionally find their way inside. To help prevent this, please keep doors, windows, and sliders closed as much as possible — this greatly reduces the chance of unwanted visitors.
