A very nice villa
This was our first visit to Sardinia and we picked Villa Mistral mainly on the photo of the veranda so we were pleased to find that it was as nice in real life as it looked in the photo.
The villa is only a few kilometres from Alghero centre yet in the middle of the countryside where the only noise to disturb you was the sound of a distant cockerel.
For people that had never been to Alghero before the villa wasn't particularly easy to find but fortunately we had the co-ordinates supplied by the agent loaded into my phone and trusty Google maps got us there.
The details on the website stated that there was airconditioning in all three bedrooms which wasn't the case as only two of the bedrooms had aircon units fitted. This didn't worry us as we only needed two bedrooms.
The details also stated that the kitchen had an oven which it didn't - just a hob and microwave. Again this didn't concern us as we ate out in the local restaurants.
We loved Alghero enough to want to come back again and when we do we will be happy to stay here again but next time we will bring an Italian dictionary with us as the housekeeper's English is as poor as my Italian and all conversations were conducted in mime.
The agent (Maria M) was very helpful as before booking I enquired whether there were any sunbeds and she said that there wasn't but they would buy some for us and three brand new sunbeds duly turned up ten minutes after we did.
