Getaway for peace and relaxation near sea-side

Modern guesthouse in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, overlooking a stunning valley, only 10 minutes by car to the nearest beach, not far from the historic town of Cefalu. The location is near the main house on a 5.5 hectare estate, overlooked by a mountain. Gets lots of sun even in the winter as its south facing.

This striking independent guesthouse (studio) is set in a mountainside submerged in an unspoiled Sicilian nature, with views to a valley and the small village of Lascari (1 km plus 500 m of country road).

The newly built guesthouse of about 30 m2 (2015) has a modern feel with an Italian touch. It consists of: a king size bed, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, two fans, a clothes rack for drying clothes, bathroom with shower, small kitchen with two hobs, toaster, small oven and fridge/freezer, dining table with chairs, book shelf with mainly books in English and a pellet stove for wintertime. The door/window has a mosquito netting. For the small terrace there are garden table, chairs, deck chairs and sun umbrella.

TV with satellite connection (intern. channels) and wifi internet is provided.
We try to be a self-sustainable eco-site and heat our water mainly with a solar panel in the summer or by wood stove in the winter, therefore, we encourage our guests to take showers in the later part of the day (does not apply in the high summer where the water is already warm in the mornings). If our guests prefer otherwise we can heat the water electrically in the morning.

The view on the valley from the small terrace in the front of the guesthouse is astonishing. Ideal for lovers of quiet and unspoiled nature, who want to make trips to historic Sicilian villages and the beach.

Beautiful walks can be taken on this breathtaking terrain with typical Sicilian flora, fruit trees, nuts- and ancient olive trees. A small river (runs from November till July) bordering the land and can be visited. A shepard with his herd is regularly passing by and fresh Sicilian Ricotta goats cheese can be ordered when in season.
The friendly dog Skipper and his fellow cat-brothers are guarding the estate.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests is very important to us and we take the utmost care to clean and sanitize the guesthouse very well in between stays.
