Welcome to Om Away from Home! A boutique style space with comfort and self-care in mind.

No matter what brings you to the area, you're sure to find peace and relaxation when you return home. This property is located on a beautiful tree-lined street and features super comfy beds, sound machines, TV's, and charging stations in every room. A perfect little meditation nook and other curated areas to relax solo or connect with beloveds abound. Art by local artists adorn the walls.

The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen, full bath, 2 king bedrooms each w/33" tv’s, dining space for 6, island seating for 3, and a comfortable living room with 41" tv.

Upstairs features an open floor plan living/sleeping space with the 3rd king bed with 48" tv, (it does not have a door, curtains are optional) as well as office and meditation nooks, and a walk-in closet.

The additional queen bedroom, full bath, and kitchenette finish the space.

The backyard space has a fire pit area, gas grill, table and chairs, hammock, and seating area for 2 on the back porch.

There are driveways on either side of the home, providing ample off-street parking, an outdoor electric outlet is accessible for those that need car charging capabilities.

Perfect Place for our family gathering!

We could not have picked a more perfect place for our family Thanksgiving. This beautiful home had a great layout and accommodated our different ages and needs so well - we each had a bit of our own space and nice areas for us to gather as a family. The house is charming and so well appointed and the art is such a lovely touch. The owner, Laura, could not have been easier to communicate with and was very responsive. We would definitely love to stay again if our paths lead us back to the Baltimore area!

Great space for our weekend stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is clean, well-organized and comfortable. My husband and I, along with our adult kids and their partners, stayed for the weekend to attend a nephew's wedding. Three king beds kept us all comfortable; my husband and I enjoyed the upstairs suite. The kitchen had all the necessary tools, the linens were very nice and the vibe was welcoming. Great and interesting art. We were busy and it was rainy so we didn't get to enjoy the front porch or rear fire pit area unfortunately. Laura's communication was excellent; prompt, kind, helpful. Highly recommend take out crab cakes from nearby Pappa's seafood. The neighborhood was perfect for us as it was very close to the wedding, and the house was a great value for the space. Would definitely stay again.

Everything you need !

Home is as pictured. Clean with every essential covered ( charging station, night lights, kitchen supplies, plenty of towels ). Comfortable beds and spacious master suite. Attentive host . Would definitely return!

Perfect!

From the time I found this booking to the time we left the property, Laura was fantastic. She was very prompt to respond to my messages and so helpful with things. We arrived a little early to the area, and adjusted the time for us. It was only 15 minutes early, but it meant a lot. I cannot say enough positive things about this house, the neighborhood and the host. The next time we come to the Baltimore area, I will definitely make sure I check this listing first.

Great Stay!

This was perfect, very nicely decorated, property offered everything you needed from complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks, canned drinks, board games, seasonings, first aid kit. Mrs. Laura though of “everything.” Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Fabulous Find!

We were a group of 8: 4 moms with 4 17-year-olds, in town for a lacrosse tournament at Goucher College. This was the first time we did a rental as a group rather than a hotel and it was the best choice! Laura is a wonderful host and provides so many wonderful little touches to help guarantee a great stay. From the full size shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the showers to the seltzer and snacks in the kitchen, the little extras were thoughtful and appreciated, including the brand new toothbrush available for one of the boys who forgot theirs. We found the house tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious for our group. We loved the front porch and enjoyed a fire out back the one evening. A very kind neighbor provided some wood/kindling and the owner had stocked fire starters. The programmable, full size coffee pot was appreciated for the early morning wake-ups! And the beds were very comfortable and the upgraded linens appreciated. The location is very quiet and peaceful with quick access to Goucher and Towson. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back! - BTBZ moms

Baltimore Stay

We came into town for a funeral for my grandmother and Laura was extremely accommodating with very short notice. We have stayed in many VRBO locations and this was the most well stocked well organized one we've ever stayed at. I highly recommend this central to everything, clean, beautifully decorated and we felt at home!

Towson University Family Weekend

We stayed at Laura's property to be with our daughter for family weekend at Townson University. This property is only a 10 minute drive (if that) to the U. Laura has thought of EVERYTHING. Every amenity that you can think of was available...even the little things that you may forget and would expect from a nice hotel. The apartment was super clean and tastefully decorated...we felt entirely at home here. Will definitely stay again when visiting our daughter. I cannot say enough about this place...10 out of 10!!!

High Quality Perfection

Laura Amussen has created a vacation home that anyone would be proud to call home. The king-size bed was very comfortable, the neighbourhood is very quiet, and Laura has anticipated every possible need of her guests. What makes this an exceptional vacation home is not just the high quality of the furnishings, but the art works that are displayed on the walls and the occasional table. Check-in was easy and Laura always responded promptly to any questions we had - she is an excellent communicator. We will definitely try to come back to Om Away From Home whenever we are in the Baltimore area. Thank you, Laura, for your superb hospitality!

Great location and apartment

Excellent location in quiet neighborhood. Close enough to the ballgames, casinos and racetrack without being in the the heart of the city. The apartment is clean and well laid out for two couples with and landlord that thought of everything that could be needed. Lovely place and we will be back if coming back to the area.

Quiet, Immaculate, Quiet and filled with art

My husband and I loved our week-long stay in this comfortable and beautifully decorated apartment. Laura is a very thoughtful host, and the apartment had everything we needed. She has given a great deal of attention to detail and décor, and the result is a very home-like space. The area is quiet and the bed is very comfortable. We found it to be a great location for our needs and will definitely visit again.

OM AWAY FROM HOME 🧘‍♀️ ❤️

Such a great find! This place is PERFECT if you’re visiting the Towson area. It is quiet, super clean, has large comfortable beds and every little detail the owner has put in including the art & meditation/ yoga area makes this a unique little spot to stay when you’re in town. The kitchen is stocked with teas, coffee, & all the appliances you’ll ever need. Bathroom was adorable & had lotions, shampoos & all the extras! Laura was on the spot with replies and answers to all of our questions. She also let us use a large cooler we needed for one of the Towson Lacrosse games. You have your own private entrance & parking which makes this WAY better than any hotel! Added bonus ~ you get to use the patio & backyard! We will be using her place from now on when we visit! Thanks Laura! 🥰

Perfect location

The apartment was clean and bright and exactly as described. There are many conveniences, and excellent restaurants nearby. We will stay here again on our next visit to the Baltimore area.

Property is very clean, comfortable, and in a great location for travel into Baltimore. Host was extremely prompt with communications and check in/out was easy. I would absolutely stay here again.
