This room is in some ones house. The place needed addl. cleaning. The place needs repairs. There were little kids screaming when we arrived. We changed for our wedding, took our stuff and left. Stayed in a hotel that night. Very disappointed. The worst part is there was a keyed locked door entering their home inside our unit. They could just come into our area if they wanted. Not cool. The other review about a kid coming into their room at night is true. Not only does this invade your privacy but it is illegal. I want my money back and if I do not get a FULL refund, I will go to the authorities and have this place shut down.

Hi Mike, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations, especially during such an important occasion surrounding your wedding. We genuinely want all of our guests to have a positive experience. For future guests, we do want to respectfully clarify a few points. Our guest suite is an attached in-law suite with a private entrance, and this is clearly disclosed in the listing description. The interior door you referenced is part of the home’s structure, remains locked, and we do not enter the guest suite during stays. Guest privacy and comfort are extremely important to us. We also want to note that we were not made aware of these concerns during your stay. We did not receive communication regarding cleanliness, repairs, noise, or privacy concerns, and unfortunately you departed shortly after arrival without giving us the opportunity to address or resolve any issues in real time. Had we known, we would have done our best to make things right immediately. We appreciate all feedback and continuously work to improve the guest experience. We truly wish you the best and congratulations on your wedding.

First night of our stay was ok. We did not get check in instructions until 15 minutes before arrival, which had me worried that we were not getting them. There was no way to lock the apartment from the rest of the house on the apartment side, and one of their small children came into the apartment at 2:30 in the morning on the 2nd night of our stay while we were sleeping. It was really scary! Anyone from the main house could come into the apartment at anytime. That made us very uncomfortable. Also on the 2nd day of our stay, they were having a party in the main house. It was very loud. Had we not had plans with family and had just wanted to rest before going home, we would have been very upset. No communication that they were having a party or times of the party so we could plan accordingly. The apartment itself was not bad. But I don’t think we would recommend staying here if for nothing else but the fact you couldn’t lock the door from the main house to the apartment. This was not goof for privacy!

We do want to clarify a few things for future guests. Check-in instructions are typically sent prior to arrival, and we apologize if the timing felt stressful in your case. Regarding privacy, we do mention in our listing description that this is an attached in-law suite within a family home and not a fully detached unit. That said, we completely understand how the overnight incident made you uncomfortable, and we sincerely apologize. As for noise, we wish concerns had been brought to our attention during your stay, as we would have gladly done our best to address them immediately.
