A great Harbor Springs house on Lake Michigan. Perfect for fall color trips, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break or summer vacations. Located four miles north of Harbor Springs, it’s near some of the best skiing in northern Michigan. And for summer lovers, walk down the steps for swimming, sailing or kayaking, do some biking up through Tunnel of Trees or hit the greens at one of the areas outstanding golf courses. Enjoy spectacular views of Lake Michigan from the upper deck, beach deck or sandy beach. A 4-bedroom, 3 bath home, it’s beautifully furnished with a wonderful open floor plan, cathedral ceiling and a great stone fireplace! A real jewel.

Always a great stay at Casa Lope’. A wonderful beach with little to no people, multiple places to sit and drink in the view, etc. our fam’s favorite.

Awesome location and hosts were extremely kind and attentive. Excellent lake property views, unbeatable. This is an older build, with the master in the basement. The property could use a refresh (It has older appliances, and a carpet throughout a lake home isn’t great for allergies) but if you have no allergies and like the older cozy lake vibe that has been well loved over the years, this beach spot is definitely worth a trip! Lake Michigan is stunning!

Wonderful

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The location is fantastic. Very peaceful area. The beach access is great and the view, especially sunsets, from the decks is spectacular. We found the beds to be very comfortable.

Sweet place on the beach and in the woods

This is my family's fav place to stay in northern Mi, but because of schedules most weren't able to go this summer. Thus, I invited 3 friends and they loved it as much as we do. It's just a warm and inviting home with lots of wonderful touches. The beach is amazing and rarely crowded. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's on Lake Michigan!

Great location and beautiful view

It was a really nice rental... very clean and lots of space. It was a great view of the lake from the top deck, and was so nice hearing the waves crash against the shore. Very peaceful and quiet location. There were a lot of stairs to get down to the beach though, so be aware of that if you have anyone in your party who struggles with mobility. It was a really great time though and I highly recommend the cabin!

10/10 in every way! Both the property itself, and the property contact Meg were outstanding. Extremely clean, spacious, and fun space for any time of year. The multiple deck areas were perfect for enjoying the weather and views of the water. The beach was spacious, quiet, beautiful, and mostly empty for a private/intimate feel. The house itself was bigger than the pictures may lead on. Regarding booking, check-in, check-out, and any miscellaneous questions, the communication was flawless, helpful, and friendly. You cannot go wrong with this property for any occasion, and we would 100% book this place again any time we're in the area.

Lake Michigan Family Vavcation

This is the beach house we have chose to vacation at for 6 consecutive years. The 4 bedrooms and 3 baths is perfect for two families. The beach is awesome. Legs Inn and Pond Hill Farms are 2 restaurants we look forward to visiting each year. And now there is a Petoskey Brewery across the street from Legs Inn. The host quickly answers questions resolved minor issues.

Lake Michigan Ski Retreat

The property is in an ideal location for that area. It is right on the beach in a neighborhood of unbelievable homes! The home is a little more outdated than I expected. But it has a lot of potential. Overall it is very cozy and a great place to stay. My group really liked the fireplace and the pool table! I will be looking into this home for a summer retreat!

Beautiful Lake House

This house is perched up in the trees on an ancient sand dune and has just a tremendous view of the water. Stunning! There is a beautiful beach below and plenty of stair steps to get there. The house itself is nicely maintained and very comfortable. Our two kids and two grandkids stayed on the lower level and we were in the main level bedroom so we had a bit of separation. Very nice arrangement. Lots to do which made a great family vacation!

Lope's Landing

This was our family's second time staying at Meg's place and we've decided it has to be one of our favorite spot6s to vacation ( our adult children would 2nd that). The cottage is well appointed with comfortable seating and nice antique touches throughout. The location can't be beat and is about a 13 minute drive to downtown Harbor Springs. The beach is lovely and for the 2 weeks we /were there we hardly saw another person. From dining on the deck to sitting on the lower deck soaking up the wonder that is Lake Michigan all in all Lope's Landing can't be beat.

Beautiful, Comfortable Home with an Amazing View and Beach!!!

Our family rented this wonderful home for a week and we couldn't have been happier!! The home itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable - it felt like home to us. With 8 adults, the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (all with a shower) were a must!! The kitchen was awesome and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The location was great and the setting was exactly what we were looking for! A beautiful home, nestled in the woods, overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan! The beach was great and we spent almost every day lounging in the comfy beach chairs that were provided!! I would most certainly recommend this home for a family vacation in beautiful northern Michigan and will be going back!!!!

Relaxing Week in a Beautiful Location

Very enjoyable stay, quiet and peaceful, beautiful beach. Beds are very comfortable, which is super important to us. My family appreciated the 3 bathrooms. House has everything you need. My only quibble is no cable TV for a rainy day. :) Upper deck with good table for eating meals, lower deck is a couple of flights down (not far) and is perfect for enjoying the lake. Beach chairs were appreciated, we used the fire pit a couple of nights. You feel like you're away from it all, but it's only about a 10-minute drive into Harbor Springs. Communication with Meg is great --- she even went above and beyond by UPSing some shirts we left behind. We would rent again!

A perfect little gem.

Comfortable, clean cottage in an unbeatable location. Lake Michigan on one side, with perfect views from the living room, the upper deck or the lower deck. Good beach for long walks. Full forest on the other side with a low traffic, narrow winding road, an other opportunity for long walks under trees, no sunscreen needed. All beds were comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped and well functioning. Large enough dining table for families both in the dining area and the upper deck. Good gas grill. No A/C, but excellent cross ventilation and cool breeze coming in from the lake at night. Good WiFi. Nice small town nearby with grocery and dining options. Owners are pleasant and easy to contact. The place will be high on our list in the future.

Great place to stay. Meg had all of the things that we expected to be there - a great selection of spices, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, all the kitchen amenities we needed, plenty of spaces to sit and chat and above all... the view!

Wonderful family time!

This lake house was the perfect venue for a family vacation. The house is gorgeous with a beautiful Lake Michigan view from an upper deck, a lower deck, and the beach itself. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are sparkling clean. The owner is responsive and so nice! This is a gem and we had such a lovely weekend!

Nice Stay

All in all nice stay. Beautiful lake view! But I believe the online listing only shows like 5 steps to front entrance. It does not show the extra 9 steps that you need to climb to get to the 5 steps they show. Was going to insert a picture but it would not let me. Also a handrail going up those last 5 steps would be a great improvement. Plus none of the blinds seemed to work properly. I would like to say that the owner was very prompt and helpful with all my questions.

Better than the photos

Great little cottage for a family getaway. The cottage is nicer than the photos depict. Perfect location close to Harbor Springs, water level is down so can walk the beach for a very long time. Nice to have three full bathrooms. Few notes- there are quite a few stairs to beach. Most of the time our 3 year old and 76 year old handled them just fine, but something to keep in mind if your group has mobility issues. May want to bring water shoes for rocks in the water but I know this changes year to year. . . Easy check in. Would recommend .

Wonderful location

Property is in an ideal location to enjoy the lake Michigan northern bluff country, not too busy so away from all the touristy people in Harbor Springs & Petoskey. Great lake viewes and the 3 full baths were very helpful for my six family members.
