Newly refurnished condominium for rent in the heart of the Mad River Valley Vermont. Both bathrooms totally renovated this fall. This three bedroom, two bath condominium features clean, comfy, and modern amenities. A wood fireplace for cozy nights, a large flat screen TV in the living room and lower guest bedroom. An expandable dining table for family meals, an updated kitchen with beautiful new corian countertops, large stainless sink, and modern appliances for a great space for cooking in.
Unit is a private corner with decks for outside gatherings, first floor guest bedroom with two twin beds or pull together for a king, flatscreen TV, and first floor full bath with shower. Second floor has two bedrooms with queen beds, closet, and small deck, and second bath is a full with a tub/shower and stacked washer and dryer.
Comfortable unit for housing a family ski vacation, a long weekend getaway, romantic escape, or a fall foliage trip.

It sleeps 6 in beds but there is room for another 2 either on air mattresses or living room sofas.

Great place close to Sugarbush

We booked the place for our new year ski trip. It’s awesome. The place is super clean, well equipped with all the cooking pots and pans, tons of bowls/ plates/ cups. It’s also very close to the ski resort, less than 10mins drive. Overall we had a blast.

Very comfortable stay in a lovely spot

We've stayed at the Battleground many times and love it there. The pool is wonderful and the renovated play area was very nice although the tennis courts sorely need an upgrade. As described, the house was nicely renovated and well-stocked. We are all readers and appreciated the lighting! The well-equipped kitchen worked very well for us (but please do the next tenants a favor and replace the door/drawer handles). The only downside was that the bed in the downstairs bedroom was not great. All in all, we had a great stay in a comfortable, atractive, and well-equipped house. Thank you!

Ski weekend

Had a few hiccups with some plumbing but the owner and property manager had open lines of communication on the issue and it was resolved as much as it could be while we were still on site. The condo is beautiful and the kitchen feels like home - everything you need.

A nice place, but not set up to be rented

Amazing location close to the mountain. Newly renovated kitchen is nice, but every nook and cranny, closet and drawer is full of owners possessions. No place to unpack, put your clothes, and relax. The owner also has bizarre expectations of how the property should be returned. We were admonished for leaving a dirty spoon in the sink. A nice place, but not worth the drama.

Great location for accessing Sugarbush. Kitchen is very well equipped, as other reviews mentioned. And Barbara was very accessible and easy to communicate with.

This is a wonderful property! It is beautifully renovated and has everything you will need to feel at home. The communication for the property manager was very prompt and accurate.

Easy vacation

Everything about this condo is easy - from booking to checkin/out to the amazingly well equipped kitchen and bath. You really don't need to bring a thing except yourselves. Lots of books and games and space to hang out. Very comfortable for our family of 5. 10min drive to Sugarbush and 5min drive to the town for restaurants and supplies. A nice easy simple vacation.

nice condo close to ski slopes

Convenient to Sugarbush and other hills, this condo was great for our family vacation. The hosts were super responsive when the router needed rebooting and had lots of great suggestions for dinners and more. I loved all the books it houses. It would be more realistic to describe it as a place that sleeps 6 vs. 8.

FANTASTIC STAY

This is an AWESOME condo!!!! Myself and my family have stayed there a few times now and each time we like it better than the previous. Kitchen is gorgeous and equipped with everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. The location, is perfect...a short drive to Lincoln Peak and even closer to Mt. Ellen and Mad River Glen. It is literally around the corner from 2 restaurants that are great for the entire family, THE HYDEAWAY and MAD RIVER BARN. The owner makes it very easy to access the condo, and is very helpful with any questions you might have. There are plenty of towels, sheets and blankets. It is beautifully decorated and truly a fantastic retreat. I highly recommend staying here, we cannot wait to go back.

lovely place

Perfect place for our ski weekend with friends! The place is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is extremely well equipped for those who like to cook, and the bedrooms are cozy. We spent our après-ski time cooking, perusing the fantastic collection of books, and playing scrabble by the fire. Excellent communication with the owner, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Would absolutely return. As an aside, winter travelers should drive a 4WD vehicle if the weather is snowy.

Perfect winter getaway for a group of friends

Beautiful condo. Well appointed, and well set up for groups (we had two couples and three single friends). Kitchen is beautifully renovated, and the living space is open and well laid out for socializing over breakfast or after a long day of skiing. Great communication, easy check-in/out. Ideally situated right in the midst of all the Mad River Valley has to offer-- great skiing and boarding (downhill), a short drive to terrific X-Country ski/snowshoeing trails in Warren, great restaurants, distilleries, bars, etc. Hoping to go back for a summer weekend so we can utilize the deck and grill and the longer days!

Great condo

This place worked out great for our family of 5. Very nice open and updated design on the first floor - great kitchen, eating area and family room. Den/bedroom with 2nd TV also a nice touch for the kids. Clean and comfortable bedrooms and baths. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. An easy 12 minute drive to Sugarbush North, less to Mt. Ellen or Mad River. Close to popular restaurants. We hope to come again soon.

Owners of the condo live in Brooklyn New York and have enjoyed coming to Vermont to ski and just getaway for many years. Having recently updated the condo in 2013 they frequently come to relax, ski, spend time with their two daughters, and friends.

This newly decorated 3 bedroom/2 bath condo is within minutes from Sugarbush ski area as well as Mad River Glen. It is a comfortable and well laid out condo, set up for maximum enjoyment on your vacation in this beautiful area of Vermont. It is a wonderful place to lay back, by a fire with a good book. The Mad River Valley offers four season vacation fun with skiing, boarding, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and swimming as well as cultural events and excellent restaurants to enjoy.

We are centrally located making this an ideal location to satisfy the desires of your whole family or group. Burlington and Montepelier are a short drive, offering movies, restaurants and shopping. Burlington is the home of a minor league baseball team. Lake Champlain is close by, offering boating, museums, and ferry rides. The Waterbury reservoir is nearby for boating and swimming.
