Estrella (North House) – Sleeps up to 7

Total capacity: Up to 14 guests (one roll away in Ocotillo, extra bedding, and accommodations for infants available upon request)

Please avoid non-emergency messages between 9:30pm–6:00am (we sleep too!)
Examples:
• Locked out in freezing temps = emergency → contact us anytime
• Spider, minor issue, or adding a night = non-urgent → message us in the morning.
Maintenance & housekeeping are not available overnight; we`ll respond first thing in the morning.

Important Guest Tips for Safety & Comfort
Nighttime walking: Outdoor lighting is limited — carry a flashlight after dark
Drinking water: Bring plenty for your group, especially for outdoor time or exploring
Desert driving preparedness: Sharp rocks, thorns, and debris can cause flats. We strongly recommend:
• Properly inflated spare tire
• Jack, lug wrench, and any vehicle-specific tools/adapters
• Cell service can be spotty — self-sufficiency is essential
This is a truly special retreat for larger groups seeking space, luxury, privacy, and the magic of one of the most untouched natural settings in Far West Texas. Welcome! 🌵✨
Guest count and pet count must be accurate at booking. Message us if you need to update number of guests. The rate per night goes up with higher guest counts and adding pets to reservations.
Water Conservation
- This home is off the grid — every drop counts. No baths.
-Limit showers to under 5 minutes.
-Don’t run water while brushing teeth.
-Bring your own drinking water, paper plates, and cups to reduce dish washing.
-Only run the dishwasher when full (more efficient than handwashing).
- “If it’s yellow, let it mellow.”
-Laundry is primarily for housekeeping; please limit personal use.
Guest Count & Check-Out
-No extra guests without prior approval.
-Check out is at 10am. Late checkouts may be billed for an additional night. We are in Central Time. Cell phones may connect to towers in Mexico, which can automatically set your clock back one hour. Please confirm your phone is set to Central Time to avoid being an hour late and incurring late fees.
Safety & Property Respect
-Stay near the house — no hiking or climbing on bluffs.
-No collecting rocks, plants, or firewood from the property.
-Do not approach within 15 feet of cliffs, arroyos, or drop-offs.
- Be alert for uneven terrain, cacti, snakes, and other wildlife.
-Respect neighbors’ privacy.
-Quiet hours: 10 PM–7 AM.
-Follow our dark sky ordinance — use minimal lighting at night.
-House is on septic — only flush toilet paper.
-No smoking or vaping indoors.
Fires, Cooking, and Prohibited Items
-Provide your own firewood. Fires must be fully extinguished when you are done. Do not leave a fire unattended. No fires when it its windy.
- No fireworks, firearms, or confetti (confetti cleanup fee: $100).
-Outdoor cooking equipment must be on flat ground, 20+ feet from structures. Fully extinguish heat sources after use.
Pet Policy
-No pets. An additional cleaning/damage fee of up to $1,000 may apply for unapproved pets.
• No Commercial Photography or Events without prior approval.
