Dockside Days offers one of the two kayaks to launch or take the paddleboard out on tranquil Sabine waters, where dolphins are often spotted and fish swim throughout the bay. A private boardwalk provides convenient access toward the Gulf of America for easy beach days.

Guests can walk or hop on our bikes to explore nearby beaches, restaurants, and island sights, all within approximately half a mile to two miles. Fishing is easy and popular—cast a line from the backyard community green space, try surf fishing along the Gulf, or kayak fish directly from the bay.

Dockside Days is boater-friendly and welcome guests who wish to bring their own boat.

Steve (Michelle’s husband) is an avid local fisherman and is happy to share tips and favorite fishing spots along the Sabine, including areas he regularly fishes from his kayak. Guests may also fish on foot directly from the property.

One of the kayaks is set up specifically for fishing and includes three rod holders. Common catches in the Sabine include redfish, trout, flounder, and black drum. Dolphins, mullet, osprey, and blue heron are frequently seen in the area.

Outdoor Spaces:
Enjoy private patio seating on multiple levels at both the front and back of the home, perfect for relaxing, dining, enjoying water views, or unwinding after a day on the beach or water.

Start your mornings with waterfront views and the perfect cup of coffee, choose drip or espresso from the De’Longhi coffee and espresso machine as you ease into the day.

Our home is privately owned and personally managed by us — not a large property management company — and we live nearby. We value a peaceful, respectful environment and have a friendly relationship with our neighbors.

The backyard green space and the private beach area along the Sabine are shared with neighboring homes, and we ask guests to enjoy these areas thoughtfully and with respect for others.

Primary booking guest must be 25 years or older. Exceptions may be considered for responsible guests.
